Treat others with common decency. If you have nothing pleasant to say then don't bother leaving a comment.
- We see this a lot in the more risque posts, if you're being a jerk, you will be banned.
No self promotion.
- No linking your personal youtube channel.
- No selling anything: x-posts, eBay links, etc.
- No promoting unaffiliated subreddits or discord channels.
- Referrals to Amazon, BD, etc. will result in a ban.
- No posting personal channel/project/blogs.
No stock images, low effort memes, or screenshots. (News is an exception.)
- If you're going to post a image, it should be of actual books or be related to collecting.
No "customer service" posts. Refer to this post on what that means.
- Do not make a post asking where to buy manga unless your country is not listed in this megathread.
- No shipping damage or quality control posts. Return the books if you're unhappy with the condition.
- No bookshelf recommendations. This is touched up on in this thread
- No more posts about how to count your omnibus volumes. It ultimately doesn't matter, just go with your preference.
Selling, buying, and trading posts are not allowed.

- Buying/selling/trading manga: /r/mangaswap
- Avoid asking about specific OOP volumes, scammers prey on this.
Consolidate your posts; don't create multiple threads to show off your collection.
- No more than two threads per day.
Requests for recommendations should be done in the monthly pinned recommendation post. Don't create new threads for recs.

Manga bootleg posts
The sheer amount of these posts that we have seen over the past year has grown exponentially. 97% of all manga shown here is real and authentic with only small amounts of bootlegs usually for series that aren’t officially in English or in your language of choice. It’s tiring seeing the same post over and over and over because it creates a false narrative that manga fakes are more prominent than authentic manga.
Companies change logo’s, they change printing quality, printing location, OVER TIME. Some older series will be updated, over time. This doesn’t mark them as fake!
There is little to no profit in bootlegging manga to ANY market that is OVERFLOWING with legitimate copies, with some that have received over 15 reprint cycles over the past 20 years in a multitude of languages and regions.
If your first instinct is to connect anything YOU are not familiar with as fake product then learn about the products you are buying first. Know the logo’s, visit their official websites.
If it looks real, it’s probably real.
If it looks fake, it might be real but old
If it looks obviously fake compared to the other two options, don’t buy it!

Different sized volumes
So, I have 2 copies of Inside Mari volume 1 for some reason, and one of them is much thicker than the other one. Is this something common yall are aware of? The rest of the volumes are more like the thinner one.
