How to Get the Most out of Your Post
Include a photo of the problem. You can upload to imgur.com for free and it's easy to do. One photo should contain enough information for people to understand the immediate area around the problem (dense shade, extremely sloped, etc.). Other photos should include close-ups of the grass or weed in question: such as this, this, or this. The more photos or context to the situation will help us identify the problem and propose some solutions.

If all I cared about in my lawn is to avoid bare spots, what type of seed would you plant in a high traffic, high shade area? We're lucky to have a lawn in our neighborhood and it is regularly used by children in the area as a soccer field. Depending on exact spot, it can either get 50% sun or 10% sun (30% is about average).
Just to raise the stakes a bit, we also have elevated lead in our soil, so avoiding dust getting inhaled by children (i.e. avoiding bare spots) is by far the top priority.
We live in the transition zone, and the lawn is mostly TTTF, with Bermuda creeping in from the sunny areas.
Do you have to water 46-0-0 urea nitrogen fertilizer in? Central Indiana with crap clay soil
A bunch of these popped up in new sod. Am I screwed?
I have a deep hatred of dealing with gas engines, it feels like I'm always doing something wrong or not taking care appropriately. I finally caved and bought a brand new leaf blower. I followed the instructions precisely (filled with gas +oil, pull up on the choked, put the throttle at the recommended spot, pump the bulb 10 times and pull the cord) but there's no sign of life? I read I might have flooded it, so I waited 30 minutes tried again but no life still.
I've been at it for probably 2 hours trying to get a brand new leaf blower to start. It doesn't turn over or get going at all. What's my best course of action? Can it just be DOA? Am I missing something. Do I just need to return it and get a new one?
Over seeded gci spreader elite 9/2 here in central Va. just gave it some more Fert as it looks like we won’t freeze for a bit.
About to mow my grass for the last time this year, I let my grass get pretty high to let some of my new grass grow and get some roots. Should I bag the clippings or just leave them? Maybe go over the yard twice?
It’s become very spongey and thick as kikuyu tends to do so I want to scalp it down to ground level. Is now a good time or should I wait until later? located in SoCal 9A

DOESNT SHOW HEIGHT MEASUREMENTS SORRY
Craftsman lawn mower hand me down.
Manual just shows how to move the handles up and down but doesn’t say what each notch height is.
Both the front and back notches each go from 1-5. Is it safe to assume each would be one inch?
First time home owner here and trying to get the lawn care down. Do I just take the chute off and put the mulch extension on? The grass was cut a little under two weeks ago so it’s not too high, and there are some leaves but not much. Should I just run the mower once over on a middle to high setting?
Thanks in advance!
Any idea what type of weed this is and best product to get rid of it. Appreciate the help.
Hi all, I have patches of seemingly dead Bermuda across my lawn. I can’t quite figure out how to tell if it’s dead or deactivated - based on what I’ve read, this seems pretty dead, but I’d like some confirmation.
If these patches are dead, should I use a dethatching rake on them?
Thanks!
I reside in south Texas. We planted st Augustin grass. I took a sample to our local nursery and they said it didn't look like anything, maybe possible fungus. The roots are attached. If it were fungus, what would you use?
How can I take one blow leaves without moving the seeds ?
