What’re y’all thoughts on it? I personally don’t condone
Been getting into sports videography... Looking for suggestions for some songs that go good with basketball highlight videos.
Making a playlist of saddest rap songs
Other artists include the Beatles and Taylor Swift.
So at the end of Survivor's Gulit a man starts speaking about how he met Capital steez and the rest of the Pro Era crew. I know it's Ab-Soul because he mentioned his homie Doe Burger. But I just can't get over how much he sounds like Royce da 5'9. Everytime I hear the song and that part comes on, all I hear is Royce lol
Anyone else feel this way or am I just trippin? Haha
mine is broke boi - playboi carti
did redman use on muddy waters?
I'm going to the gym for the first time in ages tomorrow and I usually find it hard to get motivated enough to do anything and I cant be bothered to make a playlist because I'm lazy. Does anyone have any recommendations?
I’m I tripping? The beat is so fire and the lyrics are good too.
i got a playlist going i got of songs that got me going but i feel like i need new songs to listen to while at work to get me hyped about getting money
so drop them below
Mostly songs by well known rappers
It could be east coast it was playing in nba game. Its not fat joe song either. Its the hook they were repating during the game.
With Kendrick's “Meet The Grahams” being eerily similar to Pusha's “The Story Of Adidon” lyrically, I've been thinking if their respective beefs are connected in any way. Has anyone else thought about this or have any theories regarding it, or is it just me?
I am ashamed I took this long to hear the whole album and still call myself a fan. I let the noise get to me and saw people crapping on it. Now I’m mad. This album is fun and has some great writing. The freestyle at the end of California dreams and All That are high points for me but I didn’t skip more than one or two songs on the album. And I have adhd so that’s saying something
Is this album actually good? Am I just becoming an old head out of touch? Or is this just criminally undersold and underrated like I believe. I’ll post a link to one of the songs
Props the KRS for still teaching. Our History is in the music and we would not know our story without lessons from the teacher.
Hey, does anyone know this weird female rapper with long ass nails and a long pink fur coat, pretty young, blonde and looks like she aint got teeth Apparently filmed in a store, if anyone knows her please reach out my sister is really annoying me about this lmao
I like Zillakami, want to discover new artists.
Please consider all of there best abilities / not the lame stuff / anything outside of there job 😂. Also let this be before any beefs / but them at there primes / whenever that is to you. (Really try to answer this without considering the current feuds.
Monster is the weakest here and I would still say in most albums it would be the highlight
The title speaks for itself.
Personally I use Qobuz Sublime, and SoundCloud go+, but wondering what yall use to stream music. I also got SoundCloud Next pro to upload music, but interested in options with hifi audio or a big library. I’ve been satisfied with my collection of tracks available between the two services but am wondering if I’m picking good services for hiphop music. Thanks!
For you that don't know, APD is a disorder where your brain has trouble processing the meaning of words, specially when there's a lot of "noise", so people with APD may need someone to repeat what they're saying, and generally have trouble understanding lyrics of songs until they actually read it. This makes it so hard for me to listen to rap. I finally have it a try, and chose the latest Kendrick Lamar album. It sounds like random syllables to me, but I liked what I was actually able to understand. It doesn't help that youtube music doesn't actually have lyrics for this album. What are your experiences with this? I assume not as many would have it, since it's the rap sub. BTW, I hear voice as just another instrument, as it's so hard to actually get the meaning from the sounds for me in songs.
I've noticed that hip-hop seems unique among genres in how some fans downplay the quality of major artists, often needing to explore their best work fully. For example, Jay-Z is frequently labeled as "overrated," but many people saying this likely haven't given albums like American Gangster, Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life, The Blueprint, or Reasonable Doubt is a proper listen. These are classics that showcase his lyricism, storytelling, and versatility.
It’s not just Jay-Z, either—Eminem gets the same treatment. People call him overrated or only know his recent output but overlook masterpieces like The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, or even Infinite. These are just two of the artists who get this kind of treatment constantly
This phenomenon seems to happen less in other genres. You don’t hear people calling rock legends overrated without diving into their discographies. So why does hip-hop foster this kind of discourse?
Considering the recent bars
I really like his production style and want to get into his music. I have already listened to the price of tea in china which was an amazing album, but what albums should I listen too next? He has so many albums that it’s difficult to figure out where to start. I love his work with boldly James, so that’s probably where I’ll start, but if yall have different suggestions let me know.
Go
Edit: good tastes! I was asked to give someone a an ida of "what rap music is" and I could do it pretty easily until '93. I got some bangers in but I just wasn't as sure of myself. Convo is over now but I'm going to be edumacating myself tomorrow. Thanks y'all
You know when you make a rap and record over and over again, and when you are finished you hear the song over and over again, you get kinda tired of it and that’s good because then I have no choice to make it a little better the next time I make something.
But from the listeners point of view that hear your song on the for the first time, is the song better for them? If you know what I mean? Since they didn’t have to hear everything as much as you did? is the feeling more fresh or something? Are they less critical?
All I remember was that it started with the sound bite that goes ‘this is a journey into sound’ or something like it.
It featured tons of rappers over well known hip hop beats. I remember the Ante Up beat being in there and I want to say Nas’ Got Yourself a Gun along with a few other beats.
Snoop and Xzibit were on it and a bunch of other rappers.
If you’ve got any idea lemme know, thanks
