im looking for songs where the rapper yk has a spanish artist featured in the song like travis scott's kpop in utopia. or j balvin on tygas album and stuff like that can anyone help? also another example is MIA by bad bunny which features drake but hes not rapping
Literally every beat he cooked up in 90s is a contender for the coldest beat of all time
does he just play the songs or how does it work
i has been fallen in opium type songs and artists for about 2 years
i loved new sounds or genre they tried
but now i feel like its too exaggerated and they r chasing only new stimulating sounds
i doubt whether other general hiphop fans who generally listen to mainstream will also like them
and even whether these artists can be mainstream after few years
as i think, they cant and even wont be reminded cuz of other new artists who also follow 'new thing'
who will be reminded r only carti, trippie redd, yeat, ken carson and other underground goat
ik its not my business whoever like them or whatever they try
but i really want them to be mainstream
i want them to try or study less maniac thing so that mainstream fans can also accept and enjoy
i hope new generation that these rappers can also have monthly listeners over 10M like 2010s rappers
anyway i just wonder what do u think about these artists or outlook of opium type rappers
The second half of this song seems so dramatically different and I just don’t understand why? I feel like it ruins the message of the song. Is there a reason behind this?

In my opinion it was very good but i would like to hear other opinions
I saw Lil Uzi Vert at Coachella last year. My friend's hated it, but I was getting down. I'm not usually into trap (or whatever sub-genre he's in), but I'm digging the psychedelic vibes and I'm starting to listen to him more.
But one thing I don't understand--is he serious? Like the way he dances and the ludicrous stuff he wears, I can't tell if it's all tongue-in-cheek. Is he just trolling everyone?
Can anyone give insight on what kind of person he actually is? Is he the type of guy that's just fucking with us? Sort of like Odd Future, but *pretending* to be more serious?
I see so many people (especially Kanye fans) act like kid Cudi is some sort of genius when his ass has two 6/10 albums and the rest is straight garbage. His mumbly delivery and harsh voice combined just grates my ears so bad. Sorry I needed to rant cause I hate kid cudi so bad
I was listening to some 2Pac earlier and Pain has to be hands-down one of his greatest songs ever despite the fact that Stretch’s feature is dreadful. Krayzie Bone’s “Perfect Execution” and “All Real” are perfection. This would make a pretty cool playlist so drop your suggestions for me.
What is like a one of one, it don’t come often if ever, unique sound or bars. May be a certain concept, maybe the production.
Ones that come to me are:
Do What Thou Wilt - Ab-Soul. So Ab-Soul basically does an album performing as Aleister Crowley, famous cultist and explores the religion of Thelema. Very interesting sound, many good songs, still with the insane lyricism ab-Soul Brings to every album.
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030. Tells the story of our planet in the year 3030 where our government has stopped free speech and rap music. A super hero rapper rises and tries to change the world and inspire everyone to rap and take down the government. Amazing production by a super underrated producer, Dan the Automater, matched with bars about technological warfare by Del the Funk Homosapien.
What are some Obscure albums you guys know? Write em down and if you want drop a little description too like I did.
Kind of like Pozer, Clams Casino etc
wondering if theres a name for this type of rap
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W7cSmMBzeI here's the clip with the song
I watched this episode (1x5) of the series Cold Case, and this song came on and I instantly looked it up to listen to it, but not only I didn't find it, people have been looking for it for years and nothing has come up. The episode aired on October 26 2003, so I'm guessing it's from around that time.
This was a while ago so I've tried to identify it a bunch of different ways, with shazam and other alternatives, by looking up the lyrics, by looking up the songs in the show. I believe the name of at least one of the rappers must be Kemp bc of the lyrics of the song, but I also didn't find it that way. I don't have much hope bc it's probably not available to listen to it in platforms, or it probably would've been found by now, but I still thought to ask here. Even if you recognize the voice of one of the rappers, I'd be interested in listen to other songs of theirs.
These are the lyrics that I can hear in the episode:
K.E.M.P.
stands for keeps everything movin' properly
kids everywhere makin' a point to check me
like it or not you're gonna have to respect me, I'm
K.E.M.P.
[...]
kids tend to spend the extra money on purpose
fall outta control to spend other purses
K.E.M.P.
after last night i don’t think this can even be a debate anymore. doechii winning best rap album and kenny even if he’s with pglang winning 5. simply insane
In 2023 there's a lot of discussion on whether or not Hip Hop was "dying", hip hop market sales was at all-time low / first week sales / number one hits and debatably on music creativity too.
2 years later, and I think that statement was misunderstood. hip hop wasn't dying, it was going through it's "transitional" phase. 2024 in my opinion was probably the best year the genre had since 2018 (imo). So many heavy hitters dropped absolute fire.
I like to add inspirational quotes to my whiteboard (I work at a high school) but I'd like to use some from current (or semi relevant) hip hop artists- like prolific bars that one would not expect to be from a rap song or funny ones that aren't dirty or over the top out of pocket
I just can't think of any on the fly and feel like googling them just gets old head stuff (not knocking old school, as I stated I work with high school kids) and I'd rather have more modern quotes
Imo it is 21 savage. But others are also good
Edit: many comments with nice recommendations. thank you Community!
lowkey I'm pretty sure this would break the internet.
And for people saying that Eminem fell off...listen to Kamikaze.
That man still got the beats and lines. And with Kendrick just winning, what, 6 grammies?? Legendary.
Just to clarify I love both, listening to Kdot as I write, but I feel like especially with Doechii getting bigger in the general public, this would do such a good service for the entire rap genre.
Aaaand, another thing why this would be the wildest rap disstrack ever, both are well liked. For example, in the Kendrick vs Drake beef, there was a clear favorite. Sure, people still like(d) Drake, but the MAJORITY preferred Kendrick.
Same with Eminem and MGK, Eminem and Mariah, Eminem and basically everyone you pit against him.
The dirt these lot would pull on eachother if they wanted to....MMMMPH.
Some that come to mind for me are A Lot by 21 Savage and Wish by Trippie Redd
Personally Daveed is one of my all time favorite rappers, and I think he's at least in the conversation for best storyteller. He has all the characteristics of a GOAT rapper, amazing flows, great lyricism, fantastic storytelling, recognizable voice, and great diversity.
Alright, hear me out. Last night, Kendrick Lamar walked away with five Grammys, and a big part of that was because of Not Like Us--a song that wouldn’t even exist without his beef with Drake.
Obviously, Kendrick is an all-time great. His pen, his storytelling, his artistry--it’s all top-tier. No one is questioning that. But let’s be real: Not Like Us blew up because of the drama. It became more than just a song--it was a cultural moment, a victory lap, a meme, a movement. The hype surrounding it was insane. It had people who don’t even listen to rap picking sides.
So the question is: If you erase the beef entirely, does Kendrick still win 5 Grammys? Does he still have the same momentum? Or did he need that rivalry with Drake to push him over the top?
I’m not saying Kendrick didn’t deserve it. But I am saying that beef, narratives, and hype have always played a role in award wins. If the beef never happened, does Kendrick still run the table at the Grammys? Or does the industry find a different album/song to shower with awards?
What do y’all think?
What are some of your favorite creative songs? Could be ones with intricate rhyme patterns. Witty punchlines. Etc. Few of my favorites
Lupe Fiasco-Switch/Put You on Game/The Cool Nas-Rewind J Dilla-On Stilts/Last Donut of the Night
We all know about double entendres and triple entendres, but what about quadruple or quintuple entendres? Have they ever been done?
Celebrating Doechii’s win at the 2025 Grammy, what’re some rap albums that should’ve won album of the year in your opinion?
I always thought Astroqorld should’ve won Best Rap Album instead of Cardi B but that’s just a basic pick. Same thing for 2024, Nas or Travis should’ve won instead of Killer Mike but I appreciate the Academy showing respect to legends like Killer Mike.
A little detour from the grammy talk, I didn’t grow up in Eminem’s prime but even when I discovered his music years later it was still electrifying.
I love all kinds of rap but I still don’t think there’s ever been a rapper as cool as Slim Shady. The blonde hair, his sense of humor, the lyrical prowess, the music videos, the interviews, the fuck everybody attitude. I can only imagine how much more infectious it was to experience in real time, especially as a teen.
I’m glad Marshall is healthy, sober and happy but Slim Shady will forever be his most iconic era, I sometimes wish things went differently and we got 5 more years of Shady in his prime.
why does everyone say he’s evil? like im sure he is but whats tea please <3
is it like a craig kallman situation?
i know he was sitting next to taylor @ the grammy’s + az banks said his son bought charli xcx’s grammy.
can someone explain more please i have fomo
