I heard somewhere that games like call of duty and NBA don’t actually have to be 100GB+, but the devs use poor compression or whatever in hopes that since it eats up so much storage in your drive, you’ll play it more?
Don't drink myself, but I've heard that alcohol causes cancer...just never this specific measurement.
A speaker told my company the following anecdote. In a research study, participants were assigned to teams and each team was tasked with building the tallest possible tower out of 25 uncooked spaghetti pieces and one large marshmallow. Allegedly, kindergarteners were the top performers and CEOs performed poorly. Recent MBA grads were supposedly the worst of all.
I could find many non-scientific articles online asserting that this occurred, but I could not find an actual research study documenting it. I would be interested to read it, if it's real. But I suspect it's not.
the telegram bots that give you money by watching a few videos. already got 140 in my account and i need 500 to withdraw. is it bs?
Idk if it works, I suffer from postural problems due to lifting
Go to my profile and see my latest post for details under Rolfing
But I’m wondering if self stretching or assisted stretching such as stretch lab etc are worth it
Like stretching ur hams, tfl, glutes, adductors, etc
Or release them with a ball or foam roller etc
Do either of those work?
My physical therapist was saying that due to something in the joints stretching doesn’t work, forgot what it was.
On top of that I’m lifting as well so not sure if it’s making things worse
But I’ve seen my bod be in a good posture that I like I just don’t know how to get there and maintain it while working out
So a friend of mine bought a few packs of skin patches that promise more energy, vitality, etc. The patches contain natural ingredients such as Ginko, Gingseng, Vitamin C, Guanara, L-arginine and many more.
The brand is called **"Doctorem International"** and well advertised they made specific patches promising various benefits: https://doctorem.com/urunler.php
I couldn't find a lot of info by googling them, but I have my doubts that Skin can efficiently absorb vitamins and minerals. Please step in if you have any knowledge.
I read that she wasn’t even Native American/ apache and her sister said on twitter about how they weren’t. Are these claims true?
Was there any dna test/ evidence proving she was what she claimed to be?
I heard somewhere that the company Monster who make energy drink are making most profit of the daily buyers. Let's say: 20 out 100 people who buy it every day generate same amount of revenue as the rest. And it's like that with pretty much all companies?
Do Sichuan peppercorns have THC in them? Last night I had a shot of Mezcal infused with red Sichuan pepper corns.
After about 5 minutes or so , I started to feel a little bit of a high coming on. It was nothing extreme, but I don’t do well with the effects of THC & the feeling I had was reminiscent to being high.
I did some googling this morning & found two articles , one that talked about Sichuan Pepper corns contacting THC & one about how eating Sichuan can give some individuals a little buzz. Both articles didn’t have any sources so I couldn’t verify it.
Is it bull shit?
so apparently this water bottle helps you drink more water by mentally making you feel as if you’re having a flavoured drink by sniffing one of the pods that comes with it. sounds like a load of shit what do you think
In a Reddit thread about Mark Cuban's tax obligations, someone said that Cuban earned his billions essentially by "scamming other billionaires" during the dotcom boom. Commenters joked that it was the "only ethical way to become a billionaire" and "Become rich by eating the rich" and things like that.
I am only peripherally aware of how Cuban made his money before buying the Dallas Mavericks - I think Broadcast.com was involved, but there had to be more, right? - but is "scamming" the right word? Was there anything shady about the transactions? Or did he just sell at the right time to the right people?
I’ve searched online and i didn’t find a straight answer. I wanted to see if anyone knew or had experiences on fabric softener and/or dryer sheets ruining their clothes.
My friend is convinced that this is the case, but I can't find anything on it and my buddy always hits me with "trust me bro".
Some say that the date is more about the time when the food is best to be served at not necessarily that it is edible or not
I’ve seen a few news articles that say a TikToker named Cierra Mistt and PepsiCo have been in a lawsuit over her name and that’s why they renamed Starry.
https://foxy99.com/2024/02/26/the-viral-reason-sierra-mist-rebranded-to-starry/
I have a feeling this is bullshit because I’ve seen a few of her videos where she says they let the “copyright” expire and she “bought” it which has three problems. First being, copyrights last for 70 years, Sierra Mist hasn’t been around that long. Second being, to buy someone’s copyright they have to agree to it and it involves a lot of legal paperwork. Third being, you can’t copyright a brand name. You can trademark it. And PepsiCo still has the registered trademarks live with the USPTO.
I think she’s invented this whole thing out of whole cloth as a publicity stunt and it certainly seems to be working. I also wouldn’t put it past PepsiCo to be in on it to promote Starry.
I’m ADHD, so while I wouldn’t say coffee does nothing for me, it doesn’t necessarily get me amped up for the day. It more or less evens me out & helps me de-stress before getting to work, so I enjoy it for that reason.
Some people have shared a trick with me since coffee doesn’t help me all that much with sleepiness. I’ve heard that if you drink a glass of water first thing when you wake up, it activates your stomach which causes your whole body to “wake up”. Someone even went so far as to say it works as good as, if not better, than your morning cup o’ jo (a non ADHD friend of mine). I’ve tried it a few mornings & it didn’t have any noticeable effect, but the logic makes sense. Is it bullshit?
For example this:
All the extra stuff it has
Is it worth it
Basically the idea that big companies have armies of bots/viral marketers pretending to be happy customers to boost the reputation of their brands. Alternatively is the idea of the anti-shill who is paid by a big company to pretend to be someone unhappy with the competitor's good or service
Is this an actual real thing? I often hear people claim that all of company X's good reviews come from shills, but I have never actually seen proof. The inner skeptic in me says that if so many companies actually had armies of paid reviewers and fake commenters, it would get leaked somehow
Additionally, I often hear that major reviewers such as Wirecutter are paid off to give certain brands the best review. Intuitively this doesnt make much sense since otherwise wouldnt all of the reviewers say that the same brand was the best? I just went mattress shopping and almost every review website gave a different brand the #1 rating. Isnt this evidence against the idea of reviewers being bought or am I missing something?
The reason I'm asking this is because I'm a soccer (football) referee. I read once (probably on Reddit) that, although the Laws of the Game don't make any considerations for it, we SHOULD consider handball law differently for each gender (sex). This is because men and women jump differently. I believe it said that women are more likely to raise their arms in a certain way, therefore they should be given more leeway in terms of what is considered a "natural" position for the handball rule.
I’m getting so frustrated cause some people are saying collagen does nothing and it’s as useless as jello and there’s others now going on social media platforms like TikTok and saying the Multi Collagen Peptide brand helps with skin, hair, nails, by a crap ton! Two Ibs is expensive. Should I waste my money on this or is it a scam?
A claim I heard Jessie Singal make
A friend of mine told me this but didn't provide any evidence and I couldn't find anything about it.
And the idea that this is because our brains haven't had enough time or exposure to incorporate cellphones into our subconsciousness yet.
I saw this claim online and laughed about it because it was so TikTok clickbaity. Then I thought about it and realized that in fact, I have never had a dream where I used a cellphone. Huh.
If you look this up, you will see a few different studies of varying credibility claiming a causal link between regular cannabis use and an increased risk of testicular cancer. This is the first time I have ever heard of such a thing, so I’m wondering if there is any validity to the claim.
Furthermore, is it just smoking marijuana, or does it include other forms like CBD oil? So far I’ve just seen some anecdotal evidence on Reddit when it comes to smoking it.
I know multipliers exist and the pooling together of money makes the purchasing power grow often exponentially, but I read this as a comment today and I'm wondering if there's any evidence for this particular breakdown.
