I'm a 17 year old girl with back and hip pain. unsweetened seltzer is my favorite drink. it has the fizz of soda (makes me happy) and the water of..water (makes me hydrated).
however, my health nut mom thinks that it's the cause of my back pain. then again, she thinks anything that's not straight up water, fruits, or veggies is utterly bad. would plain old seltzer give me grandma bones?
There are so many news stories out there and body cam videos on YouTube of first responders, almost always cops, being supposedly nearly fatally overdosing after touching sometimes mere granules of fentanyl.
However I came across a thread on Reddit a while ago full of people claiming that it's bullshit and not physiologically possible to overdose on such a tiny amount of the drug especially without ingesting it but I haven't been able to find conclusive evidence either way.
So you get taxed again.
A friend of mine went to a kinesiologist recently and was told he has a gluten intolerance so he had since stopped consuming gluten. I was intrigued by this so I booked an appointment and was told by the kinesiologist that I have a dairy allergy. Feeling a bit skeptical as they seem to have determined this purely by feeling the muscles in my forearm. Is it BS or do I give up dairy?
I heard this a long time ago and even saw a graphic image of the remains that were allegedly found years after she went missing. Apparantely she wandered in the darkness for 3 days trying to find her way back until she collapsed and died from thirst. But I've also heard others say this wasn't true and that the image was fake. Anyone know?
This strategy is all over YouTube, repeated a lot as advice but seldom do I see any "it works!" follow-ups in the comments.
The strategy involves some kind of a mix, but it always includes baking soda. So, like, baking soda + cornbread mix, or baking soda + peanut butter, etc. The idea is that the mice cannot digest the baking soda (and will avoid it if it's not mixed with something appetizing) and their insides will basically "explode" and they will die.
Here's one long-ish example with 4.1 million views:

Here's a much shorter demonstration:
Actually, the term was "transmitted through blood", but this is what I think that means.
We all are familiar with this usual trope in movies when money and some valuable, usually drugs are exchanged. Do they stand in front of each other and open briefcases (it's almost always a briefcase) full of drugs or money.
Any criminals here or drug dealers with this experience?
I'm thinking this should go on smoother than that because it's not unlike the usual business where you don't kill your suppliers or customers.
I haven’t seen a clear answer on this, and some people say it’s 800 while others say only the Pope lives there, so does the Vatican truly have hundreds of people?
I want to buy some anime clothes, and I came across this site, but I'm not 100% sure if it's legit or a scam. Can someone let me know which it is? I don't want to get scammed. Thanks

I heard someone say that while posting this image: https://imgur.com/a/jXUPD35
Is there any truth to the idea?
I’ve had some people tell me that I should open up a window during the winter time when I’m feeling congested. They bring up that congestion goes away when you’re outside in the cold, and they apply that same logic to sleeping in bed. Interested to know if anybody believes this or not
I hear pretty much everywhere the dangers of preservatives like benzoate and sulfites, that they can cause cancer and loads of other health problems. I heard the same thing about artificial sweeteners and loads of other compounds throughout the years. I'm sure many of these compounds are dangerous, but specifically these two: are they dangerous? Or is the negative press bullshit?
This is related to this tweet in question.
The tweet claims a non-citizen successfully committed voted fraud, and if they didn't tweet it out they'd get away with it.
Of course, there's no reason to think they didn't just lie and didn't do any of that.
But how likely are you to get away with this if you tried? What are the mechanisms disincentivizing this? How common it is for people to try this? Are there people who did this successfully in hindsight?
EDIT: We already know the tweet is nonsense, this isn't what my question is about.
I saw this dress on TikTok and found out that the brand that makes it is no longer making the dress. I researched and came across this shopping website that sells the exact dress. I’m in such desperate need for this dress but don’t know if this website is fake or if the dress is going to be good. So please tell me if you have any information on the website.

Someone mentioned this to me yesterday, but I’m skeptical. Skin/cartilage is not preserved, we only have skeletons. Could this mean dinosaurs looked quite different from what we think they looked like?
My partner bought a trip to Africa to be hosted by the organization “Run Wild African Safaris”. Has anyone heard of them? They say they are a non profit that sells wildlife safaris for donation to charities, organizations, etc. I see their posts on Facebook, but all the pictures are of other safari companies. Nothing verifies their legitimacy. We have tried to call them multiple times and have never received a response. Their email responses are very strange, like they are avaoiding any questions. I am trying to figure out if they’re legit before putting down a required deposit down to book the trip. Something feels very off. There are some bad reviews out there, and a few good ones seemed to immediately follow on one site. The one review on Yelp is negative, and they have no presence on trip advisor. If anyone has heard of them or has any info, I'd appreciate it, I don't want to get scammed. Thanks in advance!
A new Facebook post spreading quickly. I want to tell people it’s not true but I can’t find anything to back me up saying it’s bullshit for sure.
Most posts are saying
“Elon Musk is currently working on a new version of robots that can carry your baby for 9 months while you go about your work. You and your husband just need to provide your sperm and eggs. The robot will fertilize them and allow the baby to grow inside for 9 months”.
Edit: I am so sorry. I was looking for subreddits that help debunk bullshit and this one was suggested. I am now realizing this is for people sincerely questioning. I know the posts are some bullshit, I just need proof I couldn’t find. Again, very sorry.
We have a garage with concrete floor. Unbeknownst to us, we had a minor water leakage on the floor that got some of the paper products wet for a few months, and they got moldy. We have removed those paper products and cleaned the floor since.
Wife is worried that all the products stored in the garage are moldy now, because they were stored in the same room as the moldy paper products, and want to throw everything away for health concerns. None of the other items look or smell moldy to me, as they did not touch the leaked water. What do you think?
Edit: thanks for all the comments so far. Just to clarify, most of our items are stored on shelves off the floor.
edit: I don’t mean are they literally in the back making the food. Obviously not. I mean does it represent how they want that food to be made. Any chef with multiple restaurants won’t be there all the time, and especially celebrity chefs, I get that
I've tried it a couple of times, but I'm not sure if it actually worked or if I just got lucky. Has anyone else tried this? Is there any science behind it, or is it just another random kitchen hack that people like to share?
My three year old cat just had to have a tooth extracted and a whole lot of tartar removed. We've been very good cat parents but never thought about tooth hygiene. I grew up with cats - my parents had 5, and they all lived long, healthy lives into their late teens. None of them had tooth problems, and we never brushed their teeth, so I didn't realize that was something that needed to be taken care of.
My vet says that the problem is that we only feed our cat wet food. This tracks with my parents experience, since their cats always ate a mix of wet and dry food. My cat is a picky eater and will literally only eat wet food that comes shredded in gravy (no pate). The only time we can get her to eat any dry food is if we take an overnight trip. In that case we leave her one little can of wet food and a bit of dry food - so she'll eat it if she's starving.
We took our cat for a one month checkup after the extraction, and she was a bit disappointed that the teeth are starting to look yellow again. We haven't been successful in getting her to eat the dry food, but we've been having her chew on silvervine and natural sponges, hoping that would do the trick. Apparently not enough. Brushing is challenging since she doesn't cooperate with letting us get to the molars, which is where the problem is.
So the vet is now telling us she must absolutely eat dry food regularly, or at least larger pieces of meat that she needs to use her teeth to tear into. She basically is telling us to show her who's boss and starve her until she accepts the new food options. What she doesn't know is that our cat was prescribed special food once when she was sick and she went five days straight without eating anything. We lost the battle of wills a long time ago.
I tried to search up how to get my cat to eat dry food, and to my surprise I see a lot of people saying that the whole notion is BS that vets sadly perpetuate. I see other people defending the idea. So, is it bullshit? Can we say definitely one way or the other? I'd like to know if I would be better off using my time trying to let her let me brush her teeth, rather than convincing her to eat food she doesn't like...
