I know Cig said this would be his last job and I’ve heard the things about his wife loving Bloomington and obviously he said Ohio State sucks and what not, but many people from other fan bases seem to think Cig will get bought out by Ohio State or Florida or something like that. Is there any other information out there to suggest he would or wouldn’t stay? Do you think IU would match any amount of money offered by other schools?
I need 3 or more tickets together, let me know if have some and we can figure out a way to transfer them without reseller fees. Thanks. -Josh
If Penn St and IU both beat Ohio St by more than 1 point is Oregon out of the big ten title game? Isn't common opposition the 1st tie breaker? Assuming all 3 are unbeaten in conference.
IU is fighting perceptions from 100+ years of mostly terrible football and even if you dominate, people want to see you beat or at least go toe to toe with one of the Big Boys to really prove it. It's just human nature. Keep winning and play real well vs Ohio State and the playoff committee will reward your full body of work. They don't care about the polls during the season. Cignetti knows this as well. It's better to be underrated in fact. Kids and even coaches love to cite and leverage the "disrespect card". Even Kirby Smart does this.
Indiana basketball will be ranked in the Top 25 coming into this season. Is that really going to make all of us super excited other than knowing there's a chance we will be good? Based on our history, our early ranking shouldn't mean squat. It doesn't to me. It's our full body of work and where we finish at the end that will matter for IU and Woodson. It's really no different for football.
I went ahead and bought tickets for the game and figured I could wait on getting an Airbnb or hotel. Both are now either sold out or astronomical rates.
I understand I’m a dumbass, just not used to have to get a room well in advance for a football game.
Any ideas/suggestions outside of an Airbnb or hotel in the area (doesn’t have to be downtown or near the campus)?
Hoosier grad- recently moved up to Michigan. Driving over w/ gf for the game this weekend. I know it’s a long shot, but any organized Hoosier tailgates? Outside of that, I would welcome any other pregame suggestions.
Any tips, food recommendations, parking/tailgate recommendations, etc from anybody that’s been to East Lansing?
I have never seen that stadium packed like that, but, more importantly, I have never seen Bloomington like that.
Seriously, outside of maybe commencement weekend Kirkwood was packed after the game and the place was just buzzing.
We’ve entered a new world.
First time back since 2014, so much good change.
He had 3 kids under the age of 10 who were pretty bummed they didn’t get one.
The Huskies outgain the Hoosiers as they have done in every game this year but barely today 318-312. But IU wins the turnover battle 2-1 and importantly rushes for 188 yards to UW's 116 as they imposed their will in the run game the second half. Being able to run the football when you need to, and when the other team knows your trying to, is a sign of a great team. They may be the best coached team in the Big Ten. #cignetti #Hooosiers
