For those of you that are painting your minis, is anyone doing anything out of the ordinary with the bases? … If you’re doing anything with your bases feel free to share here!! Would love to see.
So finished a side mission. The app told me to draw a imperial side mission, I chose to do my own but where does the reward for the imperial mission go or do i note it somewhere? Can't find anything about it.
I'm planning to use this deck for one of my future campaigns (with by then veteran players). I had a question about limitless arsenal, does this work with characters like IG-88 and Weiss where you can choose the dice pool?
Furthermore this deck features personal Flagship, is it better to pick a villain like weiss or vader, or do you prefer to pick a villain you might want to deploy like captain terro, or say the emperor? Ie maximise the dice value vs having a more valuable villain.
Does anybody know how to upload a custom icon in the Character Designer app? I'm going crazy because this seems theoretically easy, like an upload button, but I cannot find it anywhere, not even in the wiki. Or at this stage we can only use the stock icons?
Basically I want Cal Kestis, Quinlan Vos and... myself - Wife gave me a heroforge version of myself I want to use it heh
Hi all! I'm getting Imperial Assault and the sheer amount of expansions and what they contain and do are confusing for someone who's never played before! I'm used to playing boardgames and quite often I'll mix in expansions with first playthroughs if it's what the community recommends and rarely have issues but I just can't tell so far with this game.
Eventually I will be picking up at least some of the expansions, I can already tell I'm going to like the game. But I want advice on if I should get any specific ones before playing for the first time that ehance the experience, or if I should wait and if so when's a good time to start mixing them in?
I'll be playing largely with a full group of rebels and me as the imperial - not so much co-op or skirmish, but I think to learn the game first I'll also play solo. Would appreciate the help and thanks in advance 🫡
Found a local deal on some of the skirmish maps. Are they worth adding? I usually play with the Legends of the Alliance App. Is there a way to use them with the app? Thanks!
Hi, just played Flight of the Freedom Fighter and had a ton of fun. I want to get into Imperial Commander and saw that it supports the ability to make your own campaigns. I was wondering if anybody had done so, or if there's a forum where I could check them out. Thanks!
Picked up this well maintained and organized set (listed below) on marketplace. $70! Never played before. Suggestions on where to start! I may be solo. But I’ll take pointers or suggestions on the best way to dive in.
I recently got into IA and am quickly realizing that some stuff is available in abundance while other seem virtually impossible to find.
Does anyone know which expansions are difficult to find at the moment (and therefore I should jump on them if I see them) and which ones are still pretty readily available?
For example, Thrawn seems to be difficult to find at the moment. Are there any others?
I hate how only imperial players are looking at the book and have to do most of the work for setting up. I think something like what I’m making not only ensures you have all the hard to see tokens and terminals in play but also lets the rebels help get things ready as they can get map tiles out. I intentionally left out any “surprises” (like unknown to rebel colors on terminals, etc) and units on the chart.
This is just a first trial version, but if anyone’s interested in a final product I can post it whenever I’m done. The core missions are 3 pages at the moment.
You are on your last leg, kinda. Then this fellow comes along. But I think Luke is in a sweetspot to make him go to mommy. Round 5/7
Fyi
Matts maps previously known as the legendary 'Armoured Cartographer' has made a new kickstarter for their final map pack focussed on the star wars miniatures board game, available in it are the 4 double sided brand new maps, and as an extra up to 5 double sided older maps all printed at incredible quality . In this offering Matt has also added an option to get the entire digital compendium of his entire works in PDF and/or JPEG.
These maps are all compatible with the SW miniinatures game from WOTC, the predecessor of IA, which uses the same grid and space outlining for cover etc. and I love playing IA on them, especially as access to new maps is difficult to come by, new maps really spice up skirmish play and can be used for thematic custom battles/campaigns. Take a look at the kickstarter and consider following MattsMaps on facebook for updates.

I posted with the Adaptive Difficulty turned on and this is what it dropped on me half way through the match. Casual 35+ threat deployment 🤣
Needless to say I did not win this battle
(The mission was Hoth: return to echo base which i think also pumped up their threat)

Still magical. Can't wait to get into JR/HotE without the need to try out the new heroes/class decks immediately. I forgot how powerful Military might can be with Show of Force and Sustained Fire.
I have just crafted a GPT dedicated to Imperial Assault (as for any GPT you need to have a ChatGPT Plus subscription to use it).
It is familiar with all the game’s rules and is here to aid you in playing. Here are some examples of what it can do for you:
Feel free to use it and share any feedback. I can enhance the model based on your input.
Would anyone be interested in a skirmish game on table top simulator
Obviously the skirmish maps for this game are out-of-print, so they are difficult to get.
I recently acquired an IA collection that came with everything EXCEPT the skirmish maps.
Does anyone have suggestions about how I can get the skirmish maps? I found the printable maps project, but I am not sure how best to print them. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am open to buying them if I can find some that are available.
I love this game, but am trying to cut down the setup time using these maps to cut down on the overall time to get out and play the game. I am open to printing myself or other DIY options. I am just curious about what others have done for skirmish (but perhaps others already have the official skirmish maps or just take the time to setup the puzzle maps each game).
Greetings,
I possess an extensive collection of SWIA boxes and hold a deep affection for this game. I appreciate its versatility in terms of gameplay. You can engage in:
Fan content is easily achievable (more campaigns, more cards…).
I am now curious if additional modes have been devised by the community. I am particularly interested in:
Presently, I am endeavoring to utilize an AI (ChatGPT) to create bespoke missions and have it handle the imperial units in lieu of the application. I believe it is entirely feasible.
Hello there,
I recently bought about half of the game from a friend and since then am hunting the rest of the expansions. Today I placed an order with Amazon US (I'm in Germany) and now all I'm missing are the Jawa Scavengers and Grand Admiral Thrawn. So if anyone by any chance is located in germany or the EU or anywhere else and willing to part with one or both of these expansions, I would be very happy! Or if you know a shop that is still Solling them.
Next problem I have: In my sealed copy of Jabba's Realm that I bought from a Shop in Germany the Rodian Character (don't know his name from the top of my head...) was missing. I will contact the shop, but I don't think that they have a spare copy. So if any of you has a solution for that?
I started playing the tutorial in the Legends of the Alliance App and the first mission of the "Flight of the Freedom Fighter" App-Campaign. I plan to play every Camping in LotA and in Imperial Commander 2 and film them. If german doesn't bother you, here is a link to my small little YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/@derbaronvs.theworld?si=MwiYv49ls4UKJ-4Q
Cheers and thanks for any help!
Hey all!
I'll be running this mission as the Imperial player next week, and I'll be honest here, the mission rules are pretty unclear to me. Below are my points of confusion stemming from the use of singular and plural in the mission/rules text.
It looks like at the start, the Imperial has two AT-AT's and the Rebels start with one. So at the end of Round one, the Rebels ONLY get to move their token 1 space and the Imperial can move and fire with both of theirs. Is this correct?
Then, when the Rebels take control of one of the AT-AT's, then it becomes 2 Rebel AT-AT'S v. 1 Imperial AT-AT if the 1st Rebel token isn't destroyed and potentially 2v1 if the Imperial player gets bad rolls? But....
2.) If the initial Rebel token is destroyed (potentially at the end of Round 3 with good Imperial roles) is that then game over for the Rebels and the Empire gets a win?
As an aside, it also seems that after the Rebels take control of the AT-AT, the Imperial player won't ever be able to generate enough threat/have enough action economy to wound the Rebels on the AT-AT interior map, so they have to hope for great rolls on the "Battle Ground" map and hope the extra 1 move the Rebels get a round doesn't allow it to out pace them and let them hide from LOS around the holes in the map...
Maybe I'm alone here, but I feel this was a poorly written mission as far as clarity goes. I want players on BOTH sides of the table to have fun, and it not be completely one-sided. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
