No distro/beast tools: We do not not support the use of tools such as UniBeast and Multibeast as well as distros such as iAtkos, Niresh, Olarila and such. The reason for this is that these tools do more damage than good as they neither teach you what you're doing and can also damage macOS itself with unneeded framework changes.
The Dortania guide provides ways to install macOS without a Mac device with macOS sourced from Apple directly.
No self-promotion: Please keep all paid services and advertisements off the subreddit. This community does not wish to be affiliated with such sources so all paid work and such should be kept private
No Mac or VM posts: Regardless of what methods were used for installing, we are a subreddit focused on PC hardware running macOS. Please keep macOS specific, virtual machines and Mac hardware posts to their respective subreddits.
Don't distribute EFIs: Do not share your EFI folders, instead point users to the subreddit's vanilla guides. If you would like to share your work, document the specific items required to build your Hackintosh that were not covered in the guide instead. Pre-baked EFI posts will be removed as they are not guaranteed to work and they spread a low-effort sentiment in the Hackintosh community.
Note: You can share your EFI in order to ask for help, but you cannot send EFIs to the requester as a way of helping.
No Youtube Videos: While we understand some users may be more visual learners, please understand that most(if not all) youtube guides either:
So we highly discourage uses of these videos, instead much preferring users follow the written guides in our FAQ and Sidebar. The main offenders of these types of videos are from TechNolli, Morgonaut, and TechTunerLife.
Alpha/Beta Software releases are unsupported: Because alpha/beta software is full of bugs, supporting beta software makes it difficult to troubleshoot issues. Please avoid posting about beta software help until it has reached GM.
Success posts of these softwares are welcomed with proper documentation and [IT BOOTS! (WIP)] flair. Help and question posts will be removed.

What is a Hackintosh?
A Hackintosh is a non-Apple computer that runs macOS.
macOS INSTALLERS NOTE: This sub is dedicated to legally obtained copies of macOS. Please do not ask, or post, about things like iAtkos, Niresh, or any other modified macOS installer that may have malicious code in it!
Pre-Built EFI NOTE: We provide minimal to no support for Pre-Built EFIs from GitHub, Hackintosher and such due to generally being heavily outdated, poorly made and users not knowing what their hackintoshes are doing. You may still ask for help but please be prepared to remake your EFI from scratch following the OpenCore Vanilla Guide
UniBeast and Multibeast NOTE: Unfortunately we do not support the use of beast tools due to being closed sourced, can modify MacOS files and users generally not know what these tools are doing(more info here). You will be requested to restart your installation following the OpenCore Vanilla guide to properly learn hackintoshing or face public humiliation and be stuck with your broken Hackintosh
Check out the brand-new FAQ! Don't ask before you read it fully, twice.
Make sure you post your Hackintosh's specifications when you ask questions. (Posting guidelines in the FAQ or further down the sidebar)

Hello. I am having trouble with macos Ventura on my Asus tuf gaming a 17. When I launched "install macos Ventura" it surprisingly booted into installer. After complete install it took me to opencore bootloader and I chosed macos installer. After that it randomly rebooted. It was hard to see what was writing but it was LOG EXIBTS START or LOG RESET RECOVERY or something like that. When I wanted to go back to reinstall macos this didn't work anymore leaving LOG EXIBTS START
I have a sandy bridge CPU with MacPro6,1 SMBIOS, which had Ivy Bridge. When I tried to use ssdtPRgen, it gave me 'board-id is not compatible with this CPU' message. Below it, it asks if I wish to continue. Will an incompatible board-id affect how the forced generated SSDT works?
Hi, so I made a usb for an Intel haswell pc, and when loading the installer, I get a memory panic with thread 0 crashed... I looked online and tried resetting the NVRAM and disabling Intel virtualization, but nothing worked... Help please 😅
I used a guide to install Big Sur and Monterey to my Optiplex 7010 [i7-3770 Intel HD 4000]. I am interested to upgrade to Ventura or maybe even Sonoma if its possible. I would firstly like to know if its possible, and if it is, do I have to just manually follow the dortania guide and do a fresh install or can I utilize my existing efi?
CPU: AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 5 PRO 5650GE
GPU: Integrated IGPU - (Likely RX Vega 10 or 7)
RAM: 8GB @ 3200MHz
Motherboard: OEM AMD® PRO 565 Chipset
Audio Codec: Realtek ALC3867 Audio Codec
Ethernet Card: Realtek RTL8111FPH-CG Gigabit Network Connection
NVME: Samsung OEM Pre-installed
I have successfully installed and booted macOS, but I am having trouble with the RTL8111 not being recognized. The Ethernet status in System Preferences fluctuates between "Not Connected" and "Cable Unplugged", and I cannot connect to the internet.
I have tested several older RealtekRTL8111 kexts, but none have successfully connected so far.
I have attached my EFI folder. Could anyone please help me?
The EFI was created following the OpenCore Install Guide.I have manually set a static IP address in case DHCP IP address acquisition fails.I experienced the same connection issues with older macOS versions like Big Sur.
I want to try using Mac OS for learning web development. Which one is a better option? I found both a 2015 Macbook Air and a T480 Thinkpad for a cheap price with both having an 8gb ram.
I heard the T480 is great at hakintoshing.
Hello! Does anyone know of reasons why copying the EFI contents from an old drive to a cloned drive would not result in a clover boot loader that my BIOS can see? I have been tearing my hair out
I have a really old Sierra hackintosh I’d like to keep running for archival purposes, and I’m trying to move the install from one disk to another so I can consolidate everything. The clone has worked fine, and clover can boot the new HD, but I can’t seem to get clover on the new disk’s EFI to be a valid boot option in the bios.
Most of the results for similar problems say that just copying the whole contents of the EFI from one disk to another should fix this. I have also tried using clover configurator to clone the EFI, as well as a straight dd command.
The machine has a main hd with Sierra and Clover, as well as what seems to be the only windows boot loader that works, with win10 on a second drive (which I have also cloned to a different disk using dd and failed to make it bootable). It seems like all my boot loaders are pretty borked, and it’s been so long since I set this up I have forgotten a lot of the jargon and specific knowledge for digging in deeper. Any help would be much appreciated!!
Hello! I have my offline Sequoia installer booting and looking promising but the only issue is my NVMe SSD (SK Hynix PC601) is not being detected. Not in disk utility or terminal. I do have "NVMeFix.kext" if that matters.
Does anybody have advice on what I could try? If you need any other hardware details or info please ask, I'm happy to oblige. Anything to help aid my situation
Thank you!

It took a lot of time and troubleshooting to get this working perfectly. I choose 13.6.4 because it doesn’t have any graphical glitches and everything I tried so far works perfectly (I tried everything from Big Sur to Sequoia)! I know I could have used my iGPU but I have multiple monitors so I wanted all of them to work. This was a hard project but I managed to get everything working.
My specs:
Intel Core i5 8400 GTX 1050 Ti 8GB DDR4 2666MHz HP H310 mobo (because It’s a prebuilt) Kingston A400 240GB SSD 2TB Seagate 7200rpm HDD
I used the opencore guide to make my EFI and OCLP to patch my 1050ti. I had some issues with OCLP but I managed to fix it. For wifi I had to buy a dongle (tl-wn722n to be exact) and used https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-OC-Big-Sur-Adapter this to make it work with ventura (it supports a bunch of adapters so it may help someone).
It turned out amazing and was totally worth it. Sorry for my bad English.
im sorry if this has been asked before but i made a virtual machine for mac os sequoia on vmware and icloud/imessage don't work.
is there a workaround for this?
Greetings, i wanna install mavericks on my thinkpad t61, and i wanna know if the igpu will work
I've been trying to get at least one of my network adapters to show as enabled. I've followed the Dortania Post setup steps and it refused to set either of them as built in even though my config reflects it. On a side note, only one of my usb ports actuall recognized stuff when things are plugged into the laptop. I've mapped my usbs with usbtoolbox inside windows (im dualbooting this laptop)
Can someone please help?
(EFI included)

I get this after hours of hackintoshiing and finally get it to work. Dell inspiron 5567. I get this screen about a minuteas after it boots up, can't exit out of it and does not leave much time to configure.
I have tried changing SBIOS by re-genning and checking system serial number, system uuid and ROM. I have also tried removing the four .cloudConfig* files in configurationProfiles/settings folder.
Upgraded to Sonoma from Big Sur. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m thinking of buying a wifi/bluetooth card for my laptop, having ethernet everywhere is kind of a hassle. I’m running sequoia on the hp probook 470 g5. I currently have the Realtek RTL8822BE, which has no support. I’d much rather a card that supports airdrop/handoff/continuity, but I don’t need it. The wifi could also be older, I just need at least 100mb/s. I would also be using 2nd gen AirPods Pro with it. Thank you.
When booting my PC I always get the following messages before boot picker appears:
OCS: No schema for SerialInit at 5 index, context <Debug !
OCS: No schema for Alloutivrameset at 0 Index, context «Security> !
OCS: No schema for AllowTogglesip at 2 Index, context «Security> !
OCS: No schema for LegacyEnable at 2 Index, context <NVRAM> !
apfs.fi: LocateProtocol (AppleLogging) succeeded
But if I turn off my PC from Windows, the next time I turn it on it will only display the first four and hang forever without showing fifth line (which is about apfs) and displaying boot picker.
This can be fixed by turning off the PC with the power button and turning it on again. It also does not happen when rebooting from Windows or using Manjaro Linux (both rebooting and shutting down).
I use OpenCore 0.9.5, Windows 10, Mac OS 13.6.9 and Manjaro. All OS are installed on different physical disks (nvme SSD for Mac and sata for other two).
Would it be possible to take the case of an eMac and stuff the internals of the Dell M782 inside? They seem to have the same screen size. Thanks in advance! https://crtdatabase.com/crts/dell/dell-m782
Can someone recommend a tutorial for hackintosh ( i have an acer netro 5 laptop with rayzen 5 4600H , GTX 1650 )

Hey guys,
I had recently posted a success post on this subreddit. I had not yet tested the Dell's docking station and monitor that I have. I tested it today and apparently, I can use the dell dock's usb ports (it shows up as a usb card) and the monitor connected via VGA to the dock which is then connected to my laptop does not work. It used to work before updating to Sonoma, which is kind of strange. Thanks in advance.
Here is my zipped EFI

Hey there!
I'm trying to install Sequoia on my new PC.
I9 14900K Asus Z790-E Gaming Wifi II 32GB 7200 DDR5 G.Skill Fenvi T-919 I226-V RX 6900 XT (XTXH Variant)
I tried the whole week installing and always getting stuck on the same error. Tried prebuilt SSDTs, manual SSDTs, various Asus Z790 EFIs that circulate online, always ends on the same error. Opencore Log last entry shows [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START], also searched the whole Opencore Troubleshooting section but can't find anything related. Error visible on attached photo, any help is appreciated!
INFO: not new to hackintosh, already did Intel NUCs and my old PC (8th gen Intel)
I'm running into an issue that seems related to graphics (at least that's what I think)
the Mac OS runs as normal with the basic applications but when loading videos for example, it just freezes and reboots out of the blue. I already tried updating kexts and it doesn't seem to have an effect.
my configuration:
CPU: AMD Athlon 200ge 3.2ghz
GPU: Vega 3 iGPU (using nootedred)
SMBIOS: iMacPro1,1
I'm very unexperienced with hackintosh and Mac OS in general so I couldn't find a log to help out but if anyone knows where it is located I'd appreciate.
Hello, I have been having some problems with Killer Bluetooth on my "new" Dell XPS 8930 running Sequoia with OpenCore.
i first used this guide to install Big Sur and then updated from Big Sur straight to Sequoia, however, while my Killer Bluetooth (I have a Killer Wireless 1535 card) worked in Big Sur, it now does not in Sequoia. I did get it to work for some time by adding some kext, but it worked for some time and then it stopped working, and I do not remember what exactly I did. I am a bit new to hackintoshing, but here are my specs:
Dell XPS 8930
Intel Core i7 8700 and using the UHD 630 iGPU
32GB DDR4
256GB Toshiba NVMe MacOS boot drive
Killer Wireless 1535
some Killer Ethernet I think, works fine so I do not really care
Here is my EFI, thanks
just got macOS working on a dell Inspiron 3670 i got everything working except Wi-Fi can someone help me with Wi-Fi
Hey guys, running Ventura on my i5-7400, RX 550 (Patched & Displayport to HDMI). On my 22 Inch Dell Monitor worked perfectly till I got a 29 Inch LG Ultrawide. It's stuck on 1080p with a pink tint over the screen. I've tried Edid Patch but that's 1080p and if I use better display it goes to 2560 but stuck in 16:9 still. Any solutions?
Sorry for the noob question, but I'm trying to make my first hackintosh using dortania's opencore guide, and when plugging the usb in the computer, it doesn't show up in the boot selection menu... I checked the usb, and I suspect it to do that because it doesn't have an EFI partition... So, how do I create one and how do I put files on it ? (I'm using Windows 11)
