I am tightening security on a site and I want to add the content security policy that blocks other sites from iframing my site. Before I do that I want to find all the sites that are iframing my site to make sure I am not blocking a legit iframe.

is there a way to use google web master tools to find those sites?

Has anyone had issues with alternate page with proper canonical tag before? I am working with a business who's site is on Shopify and they use this app called Multi Vendor Marketplace that calls upon pages when visitors click on item on products page. Does anyone know if that could be causing this issue and why validating it won't work? Also the main links for the site have a redirect and also have a hard time indexing.

I'm trying to index a category page which was noindexed. The site uses domain.com/category/post/ style url strcture. Previously category (part of custom post style) had slug with underscore in it and I changed it to hyphen. So, category_one/post/ became category-one/post/ after this change. I set canonical to new url in rankmath. I set it to index and I submitted in GSC. But, google is not indexing it.

The error is:
Page is not indexed: Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user.

The url under 'User-declared canonical' is the new url i.e. category-one/post/. It's the exact url I want and same as set in rankmath. I'm not able to see what url google has chosen for canonical as page is not indexed. But, for google-selected canonical, it's written 'Same as user-declared canonical'. Doesn't it mean that google has chosen same canonical as user which is /category-one/post/. If that's true then why google isn't indexing the page? I though cache might have old url and might be conflicting with the new one, so I cleared the cache at every place possible.

Any idea what might be the reason and what I do about it?

As a first step, I am trying to create a module in which I can measure the web vitals of my company's websites on the intranet.

I came across multiple options such as the lighthouse, Pagespeed Insights, etc but I am confused about whether these tools will work with my company's secured and internal websites which are not accessible to everyone.

Any sort of guidance on this will be useful and appreciated.

Got an email from the Google Search Console highlighting a couple of issues with my site. For example it says "text is too small to read". It gives an example url on my site, presumably where it found the issue, but it annoys me that it never highlights WHICH text. I gotta guess.

But what's really confusing and caused me to post here, is that I clicked on the "test live page" button to have the mobility test tool take a look, and.... it says everything is fine.

What causes this discrepancy? Also, is there any way to better identify specifically what parts of the page the GSC is complaining about so I can fix it? I mean, I can spend days tweaking what the things might be!

Hey guys, so I'm doing some SEO and site work for some friends in quite a concentrated, but competitive industry in our region.

I'm using Webmaster Tools, many of the pages were not indexed, I finally got Google to Index 19 pages (up from only 3) in the past week, so the impressions shot up (as you can see), but the clicks remain the same as before the pages were indexed, went down almost 10 positions, too — is the competition causing this so I start to rank down? I optimized the pages really nicely, got green checks for SEO on all of them. SEMrush said the keywords I'm trying to rank for were easy.

One of the guys who competes with us, but also works with us says the guy at the top launched attacks on his site so he was getting a lot of spam links pointing back to his site so they would affect his ranking on Google, apparently he's got 4 super adept Russian tech guys working on the site's back end and they try to undermine competitors.

Hi everyone. Just a quick question. I added a website added to the google search console about 4 days ago, I checked the crawl stats an noticed that it is showing a DNS error. And the url that is showing the error for ends with my website homepage/ads.txt. As far as what I researched that ads.txt file is needed for publisher that are serving ads. My website is just a one page website with information on how to get a loan I am not serving any ads on it.is the ads.txt dns error something I should ignore or will it affect the crawling of my website?

I am working on SEO of a blog. I can see few 'coverage' errors inside Google Search Console. I am not able to understand what I should do with them.

1. First error is 'redirect error'. The URL structure is 'domain_name.com/posts/post_name' and I've redirected '/post/' singular to '/posts/' plural. Yet, it is showing redirect error for some URLs. When I copy those URLs with error and paste in browser window, I'm able to reach redirected page. I also tested those URLs through redirect tool. They are working perfectly fine. I don't know why it is showing an error.
2. Second error is for trailing '/'. The error is 'redirect error'. If target post page is without trailing slash then google is showing error. But similar to above, the redirect is working fine. Redirect tool shows no error and I am manually able to reach the destination and my .htaccess code is adding trailing '/' automatically to every URL if it's absent.
3. Another error is 'server error (5xx)'. I am using newsletter plugin and it requires a dedicated page with 'domain_name.com/newsletter/'. I've blocked it in robots.txt using "Disallow: /newsletter/ ". Google search console is giving error for this. What can I do about this? How can tell google to not pursue this URL and remove the server error?

Please help me understand the issues. Why these errors are there? I can understand third error but what's wrong with the first two? How much can these errors hurt my SEO? How should I remove them?

I want to inform you that I have been doing SEO from Last few Years. I am having issues in my client website. The website URL is https://www.optimumindia.in. The website was indexed last year but from Dec 2021 it’s not showing in Google. 

I got clicks last year but from December my website is not showing on Google. I also resubmitted the sitemap and inspected my Home page and other web pages but it showed the URL is on Google. I have been doing this for the past 4 month, but still my website is not indexed. Its showing only:  URL can be indexed.

In the Coverage section, it is showing that links are indexed. But if we check on Google the website is not indexed.

Please help me to solve this issue.

Links are showing submitted in sitemap, then not, and it just continues to flip-flop.

Healthy natural site. 18 months old. I tried deleting and recreating the sitemap, then removing and resubmitting but the issue persists. Using SEO framework. 6 other sites on the same server with the same theme and plugins. Only happening here.

Hi, i am setting a new google ads account for my client. I use Google tag manager, google analytics and google ads to track the paid traffic directed to the website. Now, my problem is that when i configure the conversion tag in google ads, going into the "installation mode" of every tag, the "google Tag manager" option is hidden. I dont know why and i have researched on the web without finding any news.

Do you know what can be?

(I have a created a new container to test the stuff below as the original one is too complex with many tags for various campaigns/analytics)So I have 3 tags

1. a simple tag that is of type 'custom HTML" and it just runs this javascript =>alert ("jl-alert triggered");
2. a GA4 tag
3. a UA tag

The 3 tags above uses a trigger that fires using a "DOM ready" event.

preview results/observations:

1. In tag assistant, it seems none of my tags were supposedly triggered (see screenshot link below)
2. I got the JS alert on the website preview.
3. for my GA4 tag, I can see this line (https://www.google-analytics.com/g/collect?v=2&tid=G-GA4-ID-HERE) when viewing browser developer tools => network tab
4. My UA tag never showed up like in no.3. I am assuming that a similar call will be made but using my UA ID.
5. I tried with and without "include debug signal in the URL". It does not make a difference.
6. I tried disabling the GA4 tag. And while I cannot see no.3 in browser developer tools => network tab, I still cannot see the UA.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

Hey! I started my blog about two months ago and my first three posts were indexed within a span of a week. But after that I've posted about 30 post and none of them have been indexed.

Moreover if I inspect those one of those three post that were indexed earlier, it says URL is not on google. But I can easily find it on google.

So i wanted to add my domain as a TXT record on my web host cpanel and the name of the entry as per the google help page should be '@' but on my bluehost cpanel there already is an an entry with 'v=spf1 a mx include:websitewelcome.com ~all'.

Can i use some other name for this record instead of "@" ? Or is there a way to add multiple records to the "@" name?

How do i get around this ?

I'm trying to figure out exactly what time in the day does Google Search Console updates and refreshes its data? I know GSC updates data 2 days later from any date range you look at, but does anyone know what time it updates 2 days later? Is it dependant on the user's timezone or a set time every day?
