Hey Guys,
A long while back we had an affiliate program installed which created links like domain/?ref=affiliateid
Fairly new to Google Analytics and wondering how we might view all variations and associated traffic data with these ?ref links so that we may better 301 them to a newer affiliate tracking solution and see relevant data still being referred to us from the old system?
Thank you in advance!

Considering upgrading but unclear exactly how much it cost. Getting different quotes from different resellers. Any guidance on what's "standard"? This it the best video I've found, but it doesn't spell it out plainly--seems like it depends?

Hi all, I setup ga4 but I can't track conversations, I saw YT videos of how to set it up and follow that still If a conversation happen in website I am unable to see it in ga4.
Hi,I have a requirement where I have to create 2 tags in GTM. Based on these 2 tags the customer can check the performance/action happening on the website by him and one tag for admin who can also track the information for all the customers on the website. How we can do that??
I know they don't collect demographic data like age/location/gender for under 18s, but are users who visit your website under that age still counted in view/user count?
And when I'm looking at the top search terms that brought people to my site, will this be excluding those that came from under 18s?
Sub looks pretty inactive but it’s worth a shot.
Looking to get a list of top users to understand who uses GA the most and how often they use it. Would be using this list to conduct user interviews and understand how to better improve our dashboards.
It’s been a minute since I’ve used analytics so forgive me if this is a really basic question.
If I want to see what pages on my website was visited BEFORE a specific page, how do I do this?
When I try to find tutorials for it online it all seems to be for GA4 not 360. Is this not possible in 360?
Hello. I added some functions to track my buttons on the website
$.analytics.trackButtonClick = (click_text) => {
$.analytics.dataLayer.push({
event: 'button',
click_text: click_text
}); };
where click_text is a key I pass in. eg.
<a id="btn-1" class="button--secondary" href="....." onclick="$.analytics.trackButtonClick('button_produkte_mehrerfahren');">
.....
</a>or
<div class="product-content" onclick="$.analytics.trackButtonClick('button_produkte_mehrerfahren');location.href=.....;">
</div>
When I have the chrome "google analytics debugger" extension ON I can see the events on the debug view, however the "click_text" passed is the actual text on the button and not the key I'm passing through.
sometimes it even registers 2 clicks for some reason?
now the biggest issue is... if I don't have the debugger ON, I see 0 events passing through. why could that be?
With ga360 we get another year of Universal Analytics. Is anyone seeing degradation in performance or accuracy with their UA data?
One of my clients is debating making a GA4 360 purchase and one of their primary use cases is the BigQuery export.
I read somewhere that the BQ export from 360 is flat tables whereas the free version is nested. We don't have anyone with the time/expertise needed to unnest the tables and make them usable, so it would be a big benefit if this is actually the case.
Can anyone confirm if this is true?
Does anyone know where in GA4 you can see the exact url that brought someone to site. In universal analytics realtime it would show you the URL parameter so I could see what ads were doing best.
Now in GA4 I can’t find this?
TIA
Trying to read my analytics which I did not set up.
and I see this page as having a bunch of traffic, link goes to the home page.

Does this have something to do with blocking the client's local IP's? So it can be disregarded?
Hello,
We joined GA360 for the plethora of features, but were also hoping to “upgrade” one of our GA Universal properties to GA360. Is this still possible? I know there’s a huge push to GA4 and we have a property set up for it. However, one of our older micro-sites, is getting an complete overhaul, but won’t be finished until EOY. We are unable to update to GA4 due to the current schedule.
Is it possible to upgrade a GA Universal property to 360? It currently show it grayed out.
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.
Hi!
Can someone please tell me how does the Article completes are measured? I mean, does 1 article complete means the user reached the footer? Is it stablished by every site or is it a standard measure?
After activating Google signals in GA4, I have noticed a sudden drop in tracking, all events, users and sessions. I still have UA active, without Google Signals, and that site has been tracking fine.
It's a very high-traffic site so thresholding is not an issue. No other changes in GTM.
What could be the cause of this?
Hi,
For the last few months we have had trouble with our google analytics (we are using GA4), and believe that it is not tracking our visitors correctly.
The reason for this is that our organic visitors have dropped by over 50% over the last months, even though our search console and keywords show that there have been no significant changes on that end, and this traffic practically dropped overnight. We are aware that Search Console doesn't track the exact same as Analytics, however, the discrepancy here is too significant and sudden, and something doesn't add up.
We first identified this challenge in November and have been investigating it since then, and in January we had problems with our cookie banner that we thought might be linked however we are still unclear if this could be the problem.
We have spent months looking into this with our web developers, as well as using the Google help chat and we are no clearer on what the issue is, but believe there is still a problem and need to work out first whether this is the case, and secondly how we can resolve if so.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue and could shed some light on what might be the problem here? Any help would be much appreciated as we are struggling to solve this ourselves.
Thank you in advance!
Hi, is there a Content Drilldown on Google Analytics 4? If there is one, may I know how I can access it? Thanks in advance! : )
I'm trying to create an automated Google Sheet report of my GA4 property data that will update hourly. All of that's in order, but it turns out GA4 isn't showing any data for today. It only shows yesterday and zeroes for today. Surely GA4 isn't going to solely update daily. What am I missing?
Hi to all :)
I setup many GA4 and i still see the same issue on direct session, in particulary I see an unexpected increase of direct session compare ga4 and univ, here you can see the traffic comparison https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NZVB5LlUl-rJgwvqrcLSzY0xKGTMGeDd/view?usp=share_link ,
for you is it a ga4 bug? did I make a mistake on the ga4 setup?
Hi folks!
I really don't know what to do with this "direct traffic" category in the GA reporting.
Recently I launched a campaign and shared my ads with links with UTMs across different sources. At the end what do I get? Yes, solid direct traffic and almost zero information per source/medium.
Question 1:
Do you know how to mark down your links in order to have detailed insights on the campaign results?
Question 2:
How to analyze "direct traffic" now?
Thank's for your help in advance
Hi everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. I added GA4 to a client's website and activated the cross-domain tracking. Now when we open the subdomain, it appears to be a very strange and long code that is creating a bit of confusion for the website users. Is there a way of removing that?
Is it possible to modify historical user parameters in GA4? All of the event information is correct except for a single extremely important parameter. I’d like to append the historical parameters to be correct.
I’ve corrected our tracking codes going forward already. I only need help with the historical data
trying to learn ga4 and every word in the tutorials are greek to me. they assume everyone is an IT or network admin. i have an etsy shop and will go live on a standalone website soon and have been using ga for years (although i’m quite certain i haven’t used a fraction of the available features).
are there any tutorials that are geared towards an average user and not someone with a tech degree?
