so i’ve been looking for a loft bed and so far i think max and lily has some good designs. but checking their reviews they’re very mixed. overall i suppose i mostly care about sturdiness above all else but quality and clear instructions are important to me as well. if anyone has bought a loft bed from them (or any furniture) what was your experience?
Info: Midwest USA, budget $1500 but ideally hoping to stay around $1000, 3 seater with reversible chaise, needs all cushions to be removable so I can wash and enough space under the couch to vacuum, looked at IKEA, Wayfair and other sites, no preference online or in store, preferably a cream color, no grays.
I’ve been having trouble finding something that’s in my budget and has all removable cushions AND enough space between the floor and the couch to vacuum under. I’m in a very small condo, would have loved a larger sectional but I’ll settle for a standard three seater with chaise. Anyone have a unicorn out there they’d recommend? TIA
Hi! i have matte furniture which is starting to tear a little bit from the joints possibly because of humidity. i have heard wax is good to protect the furniture but since its matte i don't know if its safe or some particular type of wax i should be using.
Simply what i want is to clean the furniture and something to use on it to protect ot from tearing.
Any help would be appreciated.
I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for a shallow depth dresser! I’ve looked around most of the online retailers but having a hard time finding something on the shallow end.

Anyone have a diy option or a non for a foot pad to replace the rollers? (Wood floor, it ends up being a skateboard) . R&B said they had nothing. Internet search failed me . The rollers are mounted with 4 screws on a plate, so a single middle screw type foot isn’t going to work out of the box. Hail Mary here.
I have been eyeing the dining room chairs from Woven but unable to find any reviews anywhere.
If anyone has gotten their chairs , or knows sites that have reviews, I would be thrilled with any info.
HI! Looking to replace our piece of shit joybird sectional with a real sectional that will give us more than 5 years of life.
We are a family of 4 with pets, so need something that can stand up to 2 teenage boys and 2 large dogs. Any suggestions? Budget is around 10k max.
Thanks!
p.s excuse the clutter
I've been trying to decide between a sofa + ottoman or a reclining couch, and finally decided what I really need is a reclining sofa with extra-wide cushions (i.e., sofa is still around 80" wide but just two cushions instead of three, that way the footrest is big enough to accommodate two people). Has to be a manual recliner--I don't want to pay extra for a power reclining system that I can't trust to last.
My issue with reclining couches is that the metal bars between the cushions usually make laying across the couch a pretty uncomfortable ordeal.
The problem is the only couches I've found like this have been Ashley Furniture couches and while the price is fantastic, I know the quality, durability, and comfort will leave a lot to be desired.
Location: Located in Arkansas, USA
Budget: $1,000-2,000. I know I won't get a couch that will last a decade in great condition at this price point, but I want to maximize what I can get with my current budget with comfort & appearance.
Size: Standard sofa. 70-85"
Style: I honestly won't be picky here. Leather or cloth is fine, and I know options will likely be limited on style since it's a reclining sofa. As I said above, would like one with two wide cushions. Must be manual.
Where I have exhausted my own search: Wayfair, local furniture showrooms, common chain store websites.
Online or in store?: Online is fine, but I imagine if someone has a sofa in mind that's showroom-only, I can get one of the local stores to order it.
This sectional is by Parker Living which is a subset of Parker House. I’m in love with it but it’s only $3,000ish on Wayfair and I’m nervous it might be bad. Any insight?

Anyone have any opinions/experiences on the thomasville or sereen brands?
I'm in Portland, and need to find a bookshelf for a lot of trade and omnibus comics, like a lot a lot of comics.
I've been to two thrift stores, and will check Target and Ikea tomorrow, but figured I'd look to see if there was any recommendations.
I don't plan too much, I don't need anything fancy or flashy, just 100 or so
I need it 2-4 feet across, and foot high shelves, more boxes is better, being able to stack on top of each other is great like I said I plan to check more shops tomorrow but figured I'd see if there's any specific recommendation be it from Target, Ikea, Amazon, or wherever online.
Thanks for any recommendations, I can't wait to get my collection off the ground.
Looking for feedback on this sectional if anyone owns it and can speak to how it's held up beyond the first couple months.
It was really comfortable in store but I've heard so much negative about Ashley, I'm skeptical.

Here’s the review I wish I had had before buying this couch. I spent literal months looking for a modular sectional and wanted to spend a few months with it before making a review.
First up, my requirements. Our living room is on the second floor, and because of how the stairs are situated, our only option was a modular couch. I also wanted something that had removable seat covers that could go in the wash because we have lots of animals and often have young children staying with us. As you can imagine, that limited things quite a bit. I also didn’t want to spend more than 4k…and even that price point was painful.
After lots of looking, I ended up choosing the Cozey Ciello. I couldn’t a ton of thorough reviews, and the few that I did find, the only negatives were that the fabric pilled (and the company had replaced the covers for the person who wrote that review) and that you could feel the places where the different sets based connected and laying down wasn’t always super comfortable. I tried to solve the laying down problem by having a configuration that included the chaise, so the extra long cushions covered where the pieces connected. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work.
Let’s start with the good. It fit up our stairs with no issues. Putting it together was super easy. I could have done it with no help, but instead I watched my wife do it, and acted like a cheerleader. It fit the space exactly how I wanted. Unfortunately, my positives end there.
The bad. I hate this couch every time I sit on it. Because of the way the Ciello cushions are designed, it never ever ever looks neat. You could fluff the cushions a thousand times a day, and it doesn’t make a difference. The covers always look rumpled. Also, if you are an old like me, and have back issues, there will never be enough support in the cushions to make your back and sad joints not hurt. You may end up more sore after sitting on it.
The nice washable covers… Oh they come off, but the zippers on two cushions broke immediately. The fabric does pill some, but it’s the least of my complaints.
You can definitely feel the divisions between seat bases, even with the long cushion of the chaise. It takes a lot of maneuvering to get comfortable enough to fall asleep, if you’re not a teenager who has the ability to pass out anywhere.
I got deep seats…don’t do that if you’re not over six feet tall. You will never be comfortable again and will need to stack pillows behind you to get comfortable. This isn’t a couch flaw, it’s a me warning to anyone who thinks they need the extra space of the deep seat. My six foot tall wife thinks they’re too deep.
In short: if you’re a person with even the slightest back or joint issues, if you like couch napping without having to rearrange your entire life to get cozy (no pun), if you don’t like sewing zippers and if you want a couch that looks neat at least once a month, skip the Ciello. I am sad about this damn thing every time I sit on it because at the price point, I can’t afford to replace it anytime soon. I’m thinking of buying replacement cushions that are firmer and ditching these awful ones as soon as I can afford it. Until then, I’ll be glaring at this stupid beast every time I see it.
Budget prefer under $300 (ik ik wood costs a lot and ik ik I’ve seen posts look at estate sales I’m not in a position rn to be going to go look so much since I can’t drive I have to rely on others so I’m hoping others can help me out on sites they trust and have had luck on the furniture lasting pretty long for not that expensive. Please don’t say wayfair.
-under $300
-in store ok. I’m in located in Portland Oregon. I am short on space and storage so it would really help if the bed came with storage! I’m looking on craigslist and OfferUp myself. people’s prices are high and the quality’s very good nor willing to negotiate.
I'm in the market for a new sofa for an apartment, and am willing to spend $3-5K on it, but don't want to waste money. I'm looking at a size around 8-9 feet, modern design, on the softer said but not too soft either.
I've looked at stores near me and like the following couches:
- Restoration Hardware Maxwell
- Arhaus Kipton
- Pottery Barn PB Comfort
- Crate and Barrel Aris
I also looked online, and found places like Mantle Furniture, Stickley Furniture, and others from North Carolina. I was wondering, what are the benefits of buying from one of these online places? How do I know which online brand to go with? Are these sofas that much better than the ones at retailers?
Thanks!
Hey guys! Any recommendations for a quality modular couch? I don’t really want to spend more than $2,000 but might consider more if it’s that good.
Currently I’m looking at this Livingspaces couch that has great reviews and looks comfy. Please let me know with your recommendations or advice thanks!
Im looking for a small table for a 3d printer. The one we have now has a little wobble in it that's messing up prints. I need a sturdy or heavy table to handle the movement of the printer and the weight of it ( don't have an exact on how much it weighs but is is decently heavy). Not 100% sure where to look for furniture as I have not bought much before. The table we have now is a 20x20 square end table and it just fits on it. Depth wise i need 20in minimum I can go a little bigger than that but not by much. Width wise I can go up to 30 inches but again must be 20in minimum. Height I dont have a preference for the one we have now is short but a regular table height would be fine also.
Hi all, we're moving across the country for a job and are downsizing to an apartment again! We wanted to get a cozy sofa that also doubles as a sleeper for guests. Requirements:
We'll be adding an additional topper on the mattress and a structured base to make it more comfortable for guests.
I'm deciding between the Joybird Wilder in one of their performance/pet friendly fabrics, or the Poly & Bark Milo sofa in the green color. Does anyone know much about these? We sat on the joybird one in store and liked it. The Poly and Bark has no reviews, which gives me a bit of pause, but the price and return policy are great.
hello! i wonder if anyone knows where to get Haller looking storage units that’s more affordable?
We have some space in our home office and we want something that's comfortable to lounge in. We have been looking at beanbags, accent chairs with ottomans and recliner chairs. I'm not sure which among these would be comfortable for, say, reading for a while or relaxing after sitting in an office chair all day. What kind of furniture would you suggest that we look for? I would want something soft in which I can lean back at least a little.
YOUR LOCATION Bay Area, California
YOUR BUDGET < $500
THE SIZE WANTED The space is around 4 ft by 4 ft approximately
THE STYLE Open to anything comfortable
WHERE YOU HAVE EXHAUSTED YOUR OWN SEARCH Looked at Amazon, Target and Facebook Marketplace. There are some decent options, but I can't tell if they are comfortable and solid from the pictures/posts.
IF YOU WANT ONLINE OR AN ACTUAL STORE Preferably online
Not looking for this exact thing because it does not exist. What type / style of furniture would be similar? Just need a big pillow chair to sink into and read. All my brain can think of is bean bag lol.
Hi all, I would love to get your suggestions/recs on what type/colour dining chairs would look good with this dark/arabica walnut dining table. TIA!
I'm looking for a couch (maybe sectional would work too) that is very firm. I find that in softer couches, my back starts to hurt. For reference, I sleep on a platform bed with a couple of Japanese futon mattresses because anything else is uncomfortable.
I currently have a couch from Costco (Thomasville Dillard Sofa with Reversible Chaise), which has become very soft over the one year of ownership.
Going into the stores to check is also not very enlightening -- I'm looking for longer term reviews and experiences and hopefully the above description gives some sense of my expectations of a firm couch.
YOUR LOCATION: US east coast YOUR BUDGET: up to $1.5K THE SIZE WANTED: couch or sectional. 3-4 seater. THE STYLE: preferably modern WHERE YOU HAVE EXHAUSTED YOUR OWN SEARCH: bought a Costco couch( details above) IF YOU WANT ONLINE OR AN ACTUAL STORE: ideally online with delivery and set up.
Thank you!
I have no clue if this kind of chair even exists, but I’m looking for a cross between a lazy boy that’s good for lounging, and an office chair that I can use for work. Does anyone know of anything like this?
Hello,
So I've been on the hunt for a king size bed frame for a few months, and recently found exactly what I wanted.
I wanted a simple, modern, clean and "airy" design, for bed made of wood, with a good height (not too low), and under bed storage/drawers that still allow space underneath for my robot vacuum. Priced at less than 2k.
I found the "Aversa 3-sided storage bed" from Raymour and Flanigan, and was about to pull the trigger, only to realize that they don't ship to Canada (I live in BC)...I have no other option to get it delivered home. I'm very disappointed!
I came here as I was wondering if there's an option for me to find something identical in Canada.
I am about to purchased a white sectional from a brand called Room And Board.
Made out of 100% polypropylene bouncé.
Anyone have long term experience with the maintenance of a white fabric couch?
This couch is rated as “family/dog friendly”.
My near future includes dogs and children.
