I'm in the market for a new furniture setup and I need help on knowing where to look. I'm interested in a reclining loveseat and sofa and preferably the loveseat to have the center console with storage and cup holder. I'm in ohio and not sure where to go for decent furniture. I live near an ashley and a francis furniture. After some quick searches it seems ppl say the big box stores furniture is crappy quality.
Any tips on where I could look for something that wont break the bank? Francis lazy boy set was about $4,000 for a loveseat and sofa which seems pretty high for my taste.
Title. Price and free white glove delivery very tempting. I'm looking for leather sofas and this seems like a good one but I can't see it in-person and the height is fairly short (Overall: 124”W x 124”D x 34”H, Frame Height: 30”, Seat Height: 17")
Hi Everyone,
Thinking of buying a Benchmaster chair instead of Stressless. Anyone know if they are any good?
thanks for any feedback
I currently have a cheap $20 Walmart plastic folding table that I use as a desk but I desperately need an upgrade. Not necessarily looking for a specific recommendation, rather a general question. Is there a way to find furniture of exact (or close) dimensions? My room is already laid out very snugly and I care more about it fitting than what it looks like. I would take a desk or table, but I’d love to be able to find things through dimensions.
It's a nice chair but I'm not sure if I can justify it being $400, if anyone can find a dupe or a chair very similar for a quarter of the price I would greatly appreciate it!
I'm in Orange County, Can do instore or Online Purchase.
I'm looking for some slim shelves to put on my wall that will hold like a row of figures. I can't find anything smaller than 5" I would prefer Amazon or some online seller, thank you :)
I would like to stay around d $3k ideally for a leather sofa. Real leather, not vegan. The ones I see that match my budget are from Article but the reviews aren’t great here and I personally had a slightly negative experience with one of their chairs. Other places are like 7k. I admittedly don’t know many stores other than the better known ones like crate and barrel and west elm. What other maybe lesser known stores should I look into?
I searched and the matching posts are a few years old so I thought it was worth asking again.
I've seen some on Amazon but some of the reviews included pictures of stained or discolored hardwood floors after being used for a while. We have blonde maple floors so any darkening would be very visible. Anybody have recommendations that won't mess up a hardwood floor?
My G plan Astro (round) coffee table has developed a shallow crack which isn’t urgent to deal with but affects the aesthetic and I am now worried about its overall long term durability (despite surving 60+ years in the family unscathed it seems to have happened when my son put a plate down slightly too hard on it).
Can anyone recommend where to get replacement glass and should I be looking for some special type of glass eg ‘tempered’ etc? The table does get used every day so I don’t want this to keep happening.
Ideally online for health reasons and I can’t think of anything I’d like to use my time and limited energy less on than having to go on a mission for a piece of replacement glass. Based in England.
I purchased a sectional from Macy’s in 2007-2008. Macy’s Modern Concepts made by McCreary Modern, Baldwin Sectional. This is THE most used piece of furniture in my home; it’s been moved several times, has survived multiple dogs, is used daily by the family, & has survived multiple friends and family members sleeping on it. In other words, it’s been used and abused. I love that I can take apart the whole sectional and wash it (usually about every 6 months or for accidents). The bottom cushions are now much less firm and sink quite a bit and the fabric has worn so thin it’s started to fray or develop holes in some spots. I reached out to Macy’s and received a quote to replace all of the slipcovers and the bottom cushions which will be $3-4k. My question is, is a McCreary Modern couch worth salvaging or should I invest in a new couch?
I still want a slipcovered sectional that I can wash as needed and I’ve read through many of the informative discussions on here re:sectionals. I priced out a slipcovered Mantle sectional & it would run around $11k.
Right now I am looking for a some new furniture for my room but I’m limited on space. I have my tv sitting on top of my old desk for now but want to move to on top of my dresser and put a bookshelf in my room. I struggling to find a dresser that meets by measurement. I need one that is around 48”or longer in length and around 40” in height. I’m am looking for one in either dark brown or black with a budget of around $250.
Hi everyone,
I was hoping somebody may have a good suggestion for a similar design and dimension desk. Obviously I know solid wood is very expensive, so veneer or similar would be okay.
Canada/USA, online preferably, and sub 2000 CAD
I live in Germany and I am looking to purchase a height adjustable desk.
It should have a minimum length of 180cm but preferably 200-220cm. It would be great if the legs are black and the top is walnut (or also black). Nice add-ons would be a cable storage underneath the desk (so that cables are hidden) as well as a wireless include charger.
Strongly preferred to have the desk delivered, but also open to visit a store if there is no other option. I would like to keep the desk below 1,000 if possible around 500-700€.
I have so far checked IKEA, Amazon as well as some local stores but most of them had desks with 160cm with is too small.
As the title says, I’m debating between a sofa bed sectional for occasional guests, or having guests use an air mattress. We have a house that doesn’t have much space for guests, so I liked the idea of a sofa bed. I recently spent a weekend on a sofa bed from Article and it was terrible.. yet here I am, I find a sofa bed is more “legit” than an air mattress. I don’t really like most sofa bed options I see, except pottery barn but it’s pricey - but I am willing to invest as it will be a piece for 10+ years. The sales associate assured me their mattresses are superior and comfortable (haven’t gone in store yet to try). I’m contemplating getting a large cozy non-signed sectional and just have an air mattress for guests (5-10 nights per year). I think I would possibly regret getting a sofa bed sectional that isn’t as comfy as a regular sofa, for so few nights a year. I would love some opinions. I have seen mixed opinions on the matter.
Is there a name for a wingback chair with a visible wooden frame like this? I'm looking for similar chairs and get close with looking for Louis XVI chairs but they tend to have a gap in the arm frame rather than being fully upholstered. Would love armchair brand recommendations for under $1000!
Looking for a cabinet similar to this, but taller, around ~45-50 inches in height. Any suggestions on where to look?
I’ve been searching for a sofa for my living room, but most of the ones I see are either way too big or just don’t look comfortable. I want something simple, clean, and comfy that won’t take up too much space. I came across this modular sofa from RoveLab and really liked the look of it. It seems easy to move and works in smaller spaces, which is perfect for me. Has anyone here tried modular sofas before? Are they really better than regular ones? I’m also wondering if they stay comfy over time. Sharing a pic of the one I’m thinking about. Would love your advice before I decide!
Hi! Moving to a new apartment next month and looking to buy a new velvet (because I have cats) sectionals. After some research I'm choosing between the 2 below. Has anyone had experience with these sofas and can advise?
I will go to the store to check out Morabo and see if I like it.
I generally like firmer couches. I had Article Cena couch before - it was too low and small in general. Then my cats destroyed it (my bad - should've got velvet) and I replaced it with a cheap sofa from Amazon. It's quality is definitely not great but it's way more comfortable than Article sofa which was 5 times more expensive. So that made me wonder :)
I'm not a huge Ikea fan but overall I like it for convenience, reasonable prices and quality and clean and functional (most of the time) designs.
Hello,
I'm looking for a high-quality reclining sofa that provides excellent lower back support. I'm interested in the Elio and Gio models from Rooms & Board, but I'm concerned about their foam density (1.8) as I've read that a good foam density for sofas is around 2.5. Unfortunately, I can't try out any of their sectional sofas in person.
I'm also considering the Hydeline Erindale recliner sofa, which has a foam density of 2.5.
Can you offer any advice on which brand or specific model might be a better choice for me? Are there any other brands with good lower back support and higher foam density that I should consider?
Thank you!
I absolutely adore the comfort of American Leather sofas but the designs are not really my vibe. Trying to figure out who uses their mechanisms for their sofas. So far I’ve found:
Does anyone know of any others?
I really love the look of Louis style chairs, and I'm trying to find the best style of table to go with them.
Anyone have recommendations of places that sell high quality versions of these chairs and any accompanying tables?
I have been hoping to get a modular couch but I’m unsure what shape (L, U, or something else?) would look best for the living room? The couch I really want is a L shape but it’s 13ft x 7 ft which clearly won’t work. So my next option could be to get a sofa with chaise and maybe an ottoman?
I want to buy a couch for my new house. Its just me and my girlfriend.
I sat in a Sundays brand cloud couch the other day, it was so comfy! I fell in love.
Has anyone lived with a cloud couch for over a year? What is your opinion? Are you sick of it or still loving it?
Hello!! I'm looking for a small L couch, I cant find any small enough for my space. I hate having a couch with a chaise, we never use it. Please don't judge me I know it probably doesn't exist at this point LOL
I’m on a sofa hunt…I sat on a sofa by Rachael Ray and it was perfection. It was just too big for my space. So I went searching for more. There’s a website but you can’t click on, but it doesn’t do anything. All of the stores they say sells her stuff just don’t really have anything either. I know her furniture is crafted by Legacy Classic furniture. Anybody have info????
Looking for this style of wooden bed with headboard and under bed storage but is a little bit nicer. Saw this on amazon for ~800$. Expecting to buy something much more high quality and lasting in the 3-5k range. When I look at higher end furniture sites feels like nothing has this style of underbed storage.
