How do we get rid of this bump?

Hey everyone, our rug was in storage for about 3 months and since getting it back it’s had this kink in it. We have attempted to lift the couch and shift the rug, thinking it might be a placement issue but we think the rug itself has warped. Does anyone have any idea how we can get rid of this?

Thank you all

Looking to create a mid-century style office. Blank canvas, would anyone be able to help me with layout and furnishing ideas?

Hey all,

As the title says, I am looking to turn my room into a mid-century style office. I'd like a nice big desk, thinking maybe a nice sofa and coffee table set up, and then maybe a sideboard somewhere.

It's a pretty blank canvas but if anyone was able to throw out some layout ideas and thoughts on desks, office chair, sofas, sideboards, plants, lamps, lampshades, artwork/photography and general furnishings that would look good, it would be hugely appreciated! Thank you! :)

OK to have different window curtain color vs patio door curtain color?

I have a very open concept kitchen/living room with six windows and one patio door. I'm fearful that everything the same color will be too much. Would it look odd if I made the patio curtain a different color than the windows? For reference, I'm considering white curtains for the windows in a room with light beige paint. Thanks!

Rent trailer We rent a trailer so I can’t exactly paint. But the brown is dimming. I need some advice on how to brighten it up a bit. It could be because I’m pregnant and nesting. Also ignore the ugly couches. I have couch covers that are in the wash. Ignore the mess also.. TIA!

Renter friendly (ie. no nails/drilling) way to hang things on a textured wall

I want to create a gallery wall without having to drill/make a bunch of holes, however the wall is textured (pretty sure it's a textured wallpaper).

Has anyone found a way to do this?

All advice says to just make holes and fill them after. The wall I want to use already has some like that from a previous tenant (and I'm sure my landlord would be okay with a few holes, as they don't mind me attaching bookcases to the wall), but I want to be able to reposition things as I add to it, so making lots of holes just doesn't make sense.

Any ideas appreciated!

We’ve had this setup for two years now, but I know it could be so much better. Any recommendations would be great! (More info in body).

This is our downstairs living room, which extends into our kitchen, further back behind the centered sofa. It’s awkwardly narrow, and we did our best to get some furniture situated as soon as we moved in.

The room feels poorly laid out, and I’m hoping to get some inspiration from som of you to help update this space.

A few things to note:

  • The tv is on the far wall, with standing book shelves on either side. We like the placement of the tv, as it allows us, and others, to also watch while in the kitchen.

  • We love having two full size couches, as we enjoy occasionally sleeping downstairs, but replacing one with a loveseat, or two chairs, wouldn’t be the end of the world (at least not to me).

  • The window sits about 12” off the floor.

  • Although not in the diagram, we do have a rug for this room.

  • One of our biggest issues is having places for guests to put their drinks while using the sofa against the wall, as access to the coffee table isn’t practical for anyone who isn’t sitting on the corner closest to the table.

  • Directly behind the centered sofa is a sofa table with three stools that sit underneath.

Thank you for reading!

Looking for *quiet* waterless nebulizer oil diffuser for home

Hello. I've ordered and am returning two different waterless diffusers to Amazon, and I'm still trying to find one that is quiet (er).

The AromaPlan diffuser performs great and has a great app, but it is unusably loud. The AroMini BT Is pretty quiet, but similar to other reviews, it stopped working after less than one day.

I can spend up to $400 US on something that performs well, has Bluetooth, and is reasonably QUIET. I've been wanting to order via Amazon because returns are much easier than direct from manufacturer. But at this point if there is a product with solid user endorsements, I could take that gamble.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Area rug recommendations

Hello! We are building a 4 season porch and will be needing to purchase an area rug for the space. Where have you had luck purchasing a quality area rug, preferably one that is a bit on the softer side. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

How should I cover these windows in my doorway?

I love my doorway but I don't like that my dogs go nuts barking whenever they see any animal/person/car etc 🤣. What should I use to cover these? I want them to still look pretty.

Rug help!!

We have a cream farmhouse large couch — looking transition living room style to a boho modern look without replacing the couch. Wondering how to best pick a rug for this? The room is way too white currently. Any recommendations would be helpful!
