I’ve been searching for a new couch for a long time and finally narrowed it down to two options, very different options: the RH cloud couch and a lovesac sactional. I’m kind of limited in space so need the length of the couch to be under 100”.
I like to really lounge when I sit, watch tv and read. Like I want a very comfortable couch for that, and the most comfortable I could find was the RH cloud couch. Probably the most comfortable couch I’ve ever sat on. However due to space limitations, I can only get the 90” two corner sectional pieces pushed together. This would give me about 6’ of space to lay across, and I’m 6’1”. If I got an ottoman I think I could lay flat, as long as the pieces of the couch don’t shift apart. I was looking at the washed Belgian flax linen fabric, which is one of their cheaper options. The fabric swatch is soft, but definitely not as good as their performance fabrics ($2k more, can’t justify that).
On the other hand, I liked the lovesac sactional when I sat on it in the store a lot. It would be a little longer so I could lay across it, and the lovesoft cushions were very nice in the store. However, I’ve heard that they aren’t as comfortable at first and need to be broken in. Some people say it’s just never comfortable.
Overall, I just want a couch I can ROT in all day and be super comfortable. I don’t like to sit straight up in a couch, I like to slouch and lay down with my feet out, so I’d def get an ottoman either way I go. I also like the idea of the modular couches. I’ve tried so many at so many different stores, but these are the only ones I like (very picky here).
My main questions are:
Overall, with the cloud I know I’m guaranteed the comfort I want. With the lovesac I like the fabric better and the length better, but not so sure about the comfort. Thanks in advance for any advice! Any recommendations for other modular couches ~100” or less in length would be great!
Hi! I’m looking for couch recommendations similar to the Sebastian Sectional from Living Spaces.
I’m looking for something that chaise on the left hand side and under $1500.
I found a similar couch at Costco but it was extremely firm and not very comfortable.
Please let me know if you guys have any recommendations! Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone, I’ve been eyeing this Pottery Barn bench (link below) for my entryway. I love the wood tone, the style, and the overall quality look of it. The problem is, it’s just a bit too wide for my space. I need something closer to 42 inches wide, but still with a similar aesthetic and build quality. Does anyone know where I might find something like this from a reputable brand or maker? I am based out of Los Angeles for context.
Here’s the bench I’m talking about: Pottery Barn Bench
I’m honestly curious why Pottery Barn doesn’t offer a smaller version—it would be perfect! In the meantime, any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi! I’ve been searching for the perfect arm chair/reading chair/chair and a half/lounge chair for a home office. I want something that feels like falling into a cloud and is big enough that it accommodates all sorts of sitting positions. I want it to look timeless. No recliners, no Eames lounge style chairs, and I’m leaning toward steering clear of mid-century modern styles altogether. I’d love to keep the budget under $1000. Just want a good classic arm chair that is still affordable. Feels like so many people have something like this but I’m having trouble finding anything that seems like it’d be good quality.
Hi all, I am looking at purchasing the Room and Board Linger sectional in Sumner Ivory fabric -- most of the reviews are good, however there are a couple dozen reviews online that mention it stains horribly, even just with water. People posted pictures of giant water rings present on the couch. This is definitely worrying me -- has anyone experienced this? Or would you recommend another fabric?
Hi! I am looking for an L-shaped sectional, anywhere between 98x98" and 108x108" for our smaller apartment space. I'd like it in white, ivory, or a light cream, in a performance fabric (really do not want staining!!). I would prefer something cushier and softer. $8k is at the very top of what I'd like to spend, but throw out any phenomenal ideas if you have them!
Was looking at the Room and Board Linger 103x103" sectional in Sumner Ivory, but seen some questionable reviews about their fabric staining.
I want to buy a table from Transformer Table, but their reviews aren’t great. Some mention soft wood, others mention poor experiences with support on defective/damaged items and returns.
I may buy a Transformer Table anyway, as no other brand makes a round extendable table that works with my space. However, curious if there are 3rd party protection plans / insurance that I could buy to cover the purchase in case something goes wrong and I’m not receiving support from the company itself?
I’m concerned that protection/ability to dispute on my credit card itself may expire prior to the incident occurring, should something happen.
Literally this basic Article dining chair is perfect for what I'm looking for, and I've seen dozens of similar chairs on other mid-century sites. EXCEPT they are all 31 inches tall. Am I crazy for wanting a chair that goes up to my shoulder blades? Is it possible to find something in this style with a higher back?
If it helps, I am specifically looking for a mid-century piece in walnut, with an upholstered seat (upholstered back is optional, could go either way), higher back at least 33 inches. And trying to spend under $250 per chair. This one from Article is $200 for reference. https://www.article.com/product/23496/ecole-dining-chair-walnut-and-seascape-blue
Thanks in advance!
Looking for a gold desk, with atleast one drawer and the top of it could be white or marble, something that looks luxurious..
Here is the inspo;
This is $1,600 AUD - looking at under $150 AUD.
I would really appreicate any help!
Hi. I am writing to request some help as my online searches have proved fruitless. I am looking for a desktop surface that I can put on an existing stand; however, the width needed appears to be an issue. I need either a 36.5" x 133" desk surface or two (2) 36.5" x 66.5" desk surfaces that I can place next to each other. Ideally, it would be once piece so that my daughters can all have a space with no seams for their gaming setups. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
RULE 4
I REALLY love this small sectional from Article (Leigh 92" Modular Sectional)
https://www.article.com/product/26100/leigh-92-modular-sectional-green-wool-boucle
but 3049 + Tax is insane
has anyone come across similar style/ size for much less??
Thanks in advance!
I am looking for a hall tree which has doors for both the coat and shoe compartments. The one in picture has doors only for coat compartment but shoe compartment below does not have doors.
The only place I have found is custom ones from Etsy which $5kish and there is no way I am paying that.
The one in picture is from Wayfair for $600. Do you know anyone else sells what I am looking for? If not I could buy the one in picture and me put some kind of door or a basket? Any suggestions for how to do that?
Title. Price and free white glove delivery very tempting. I'm looking for leather sofas and this seems like a good one but I can't see it in-person and the height is fairly short (Overall: 124”W x 124”D x 34”H, Frame Height: 30”, Seat Height: 17")
Hi Everyone,
Thinking of buying a Benchmaster chair instead of Stressless. Anyone know if they are any good?
thanks for any feedback
I currently have a cheap $20 Walmart plastic folding table that I use as a desk but I desperately need an upgrade. Not necessarily looking for a specific recommendation, rather a general question. Is there a way to find furniture of exact (or close) dimensions? My room is already laid out very snugly and I care more about it fitting than what it looks like. I would take a desk or table, but I’d love to be able to find things through dimensions.
It's a nice chair but I'm not sure if I can justify it being $400, if anyone can find a dupe or a chair very similar for a quarter of the price I would greatly appreciate it!
I'm in Orange County, Can do instore or Online Purchase.
I'm looking for some slim shelves to put on my wall that will hold like a row of figures. I can't find anything smaller than 5" I would prefer Amazon or some online seller, thank you :)
I would like to stay around d $3k ideally for a leather sofa. Real leather, not vegan. The ones I see that match my budget are from Article but the reviews aren’t great here and I personally had a slightly negative experience with one of their chairs. Other places are like 7k. I admittedly don’t know many stores other than the better known ones like crate and barrel and west elm. What other maybe lesser known stores should I look into?
I searched and the matching posts are a few years old so I thought it was worth asking again.
I've seen some on Amazon but some of the reviews included pictures of stained or discolored hardwood floors after being used for a while. We have blonde maple floors so any darkening would be very visible. Anybody have recommendations that won't mess up a hardwood floor?
Hi everyone,
I was hoping somebody may have a good suggestion for a similar design and dimension desk. Obviously I know solid wood is very expensive, so veneer or similar would be okay.
Canada/USA, online preferably, and sub 2000 CAD
First time homeowner, looking to furnish my tiny living room. I’m looking for a 90x90ish L-shaped sectional sofa that’s made by a reputable company for under $7,000. In the Southeast close to Charlotte/Atlanta/Greenville SC, but also not opposed to buying online. Ideally I’d like something that has upholstered bumpers rather than exposed legs (I think this is the correct terminology). I’ve looked at Article, Castlery, and Cozey, but all seem to have not-so-great reviews here on Reddit. Any leads appreciated!
Hey folks, I'm stuck between a rock and a shady online store and need your help. Location is central NC, but happy to drive several hours.
I need a 2 or 3 seat sectional/sofa with a chaise. Primary use is watching TV, reading, or napping, ie lounging rather than sitting. Budget is under $5k, but tell me if the thing I'm looking for definitely exists at a higher price as I can wait and save. No strict size limits as I have not seen any 3-seater that wouldn't fit in the space.
Not picky about style. I tend to prefer furniture that is less fussy and built solid. To give you an example, I love my old This End Up bedframe which has all the class and grace of a shipping pallet but has been through multiple moves this year with no issue. Ideally I would be able to get a dust mop under the couch without moving it, but honestly this is negotiable.
Here's the hard thing: I have three old cats who puke on things and claw things and shed aggressively. I need a couch they can't destroy. They will ignore cushions but target like a laser any upholstery that is fixed over a rigid frame - like the back and arms of a couch. Any fabric on this piece, I must be able to remove, wash, and replace. I've lived for 15 years with an old IKEA fold out with removable cushions but its day has come.
I've looked in a couple of local chain furniture stores and saw zero furniture with non-upholstered arms. So I went online and the only thing I can find there is the Bondi from Inside Weather at $3600. It seems a little pricey for the construction quality and they seem a little less than reliable, and I wish I could find an alternative.
Does anyone know an online or NC brick-and-mortar store that sells a couch where 100% of the cushions/fabric are detachable?
Thanks for your help!
I am frustrated! I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for in the modular sectional world. I need a high seat couch (same height as a kitchen chair, preferably) that is firm (I have a really bad back and squishy couches make it worse). I prefer that it have a console option for charging and cupholders, and a recliner or two would be ideal. I prefer storage seats. I also would love if the cushions had Velcro or something else to keep them from sliding off (specifically the ottomans). Any ideas?!?!
I almost pulled the trigger on the Macy's Radley couch (fabric or leather) - and really liked the in-store leather model, but kept reading terrible reviews on the back cushions and how flat they get so quickly.
I don't expect it to buy it for life, but would like at least 7-10 good years out of it. It's only me and my young son and I'm not a smoker and we don't have any pets. I have company like my parents and friends over a decent amount. Had a leather dual recliner sofa/loveseat, but the loveseat got taken in the divorce. Sofa has held up well, but want more seating and can't find matching loveseat due to discontinued. I could also just buy 2 chairs, but am considering a sectional.
What stores do y'all recommend for good quality, but under 4K? I like that the Radley has a full sized seat in the angled seat.
I have a super narrow doorway/staircase to my apartment. How is the assembly/delivery on these things? Is it modular to the point i can get it up and down a staircase a human barely fits in or are they all big conjoined pieces? What firmness did you go with and how has it held up? Any issues with the frames?
I currently have both a Joybird and a Interior define. They are fine, but I've definitely had more comfortable couches. Wants something deep, enveloping, ie overwhelmingly comfortable for the media room.
NYC
Up to $15k
Interior define's James 3 piece L shaped (about 80 inches both X//Y) is the right size, and a fine style. Crate & Barrel Avondale also a fine style.
Married, 2 cats and one small child in a NYC duplex.
I'm really looking to optimize for comfort/lounging. Style, bland/generic is fine.
Thx all!
