Beautifully designed.
Rules for r/Illustration
1. Follow Reddiquette
Remember the human. Avoid personal attacks and harassment. If you have an issue with someone's post or comment, report it and let the mod team handle it if action is needed.
2. Critiques must be constructive
Critiques which are just negative and offer no constructive feedback drag the artist down, and they drag the community down. We build each other up here.
3. No anti-NSFW commentary
Please don't comment negatively about NSFW subject matter based on the subject matter alone, and don't be a creep about NSFW illustrations. This is not a NSFW subreddit and lewd comments are not welcome here.
4. Credit must be given
Do not post other artists' work as your own. Non-OC posts must credit the artist. If you are looking for artist info, try r/CreditToTheArtist.
5. No self-promotion or work offers/requests
Sharing links or handles in a comment is fine, but if the primary focus of a post is self-promotion or work offers/requests, it will be removed.
6. No AI-generated images
AI-generated images are not allowed here and will result in an immediate ban.
If you report a post as AI, please contact us via Mod Mail with a link to the post, explaining the reasons behind your report. Do not argue or make accusations in the comments section under a post.
7. Posts must be relevant. NO PORN.
Post only illustrations (drawings done in pencil, watercolor, digital, and the like). No hard core porn, bestiality, etc. Tasteful nudes are allowed, but must have the proper NSFW designation.
8. Mod discretion
Moderators reserve the right to make decisions in the best interests of the sub and its users.

I've always liked to draw, but i always felt like I didn't have the talent to create my own images. I would always draw from reference, copying something already existing, and that made me feel sort of... irrelevant.
About a month ago, one of my regulars at my bar gifted me a brand new Xiaomi tablet. At first I had no idea what I would use ur for. Then it hit me. I'll try. I'll try drawing. But this time I'll try creating something new. I would not be wasting any resources like paper and pencils if I, again, decided I couldn't do it, so why not.
I purchased a drawing app cheap enough for what I believed would be a dead end, and started to sketch away.
This was the final result.
I'm quite proud of it, I think it looks great. But I can't help but feel like maybe this is an absolute disaster of an illustration and I only think it's good because I made it...
It was never supposed to be a perfect drawing with perfectly straight line and correct angles or shadows that made sense. I've always liked the "crooked", imperfect, sketchy looking kind of art. So that's what I went for.

I just love Sargent’s art, love that man
I’m interested in creating a series, but the artist is too busy at the moment. She worked off a photo of my dog that had a blurry hind and added the lizard rear 😂
A little 6x6 ink and marker illustration on mixed media paper.
