The Forests Reddit
Forests - a large area dominated by trees. Hundreds of more precise definitions of forest are used throughout the world, incorporating factors such as tree density, tree height, land use, legal standing and ecological function. According to the widely used Food and Agriculture Organization definition, forests covered four billion hectares (15 million square miles) or approximately 30 percent of the world's land area in 2006.
Forests are the dominant terrestrial ecosystem of Earth, and are distributed across the globe. Forests account for 75% of the gross primary productivity of the Earth's biosphere, and contain 80% of the Earth's plant biomass.
Forests at different latitudes and elevations form distinctly different ecozones: boreal forests near the poles, tropical forests near the equator and temperate forests at mid-latitudes. Higher elevation areas tend to support forests similar to those at higher latitudes, and amount of precipitation also affects forest composition.
Human society and forests influence each other in both positive and negative ways.[8] Forests provide ecosystem services to humans and serve as tourist attractions. Forests can also affect people's health. Human activities, including harvesting forest resources, can negatively affect forest ecosystems. Wikipedia: forest

I’ve gotten into shelter building recently (i’m 15) and I’ve honestly never tried doing a log cabin, does anyone know how to do foundations and roofs and stuff like that? Planning to go in the next few days and getting a basic foundation or something
Why can’t you live in a log cabin in the woods, if you buy the land.
I dont know how else to explain it but is it normal to just find a pile of what looks like gray fur in large amounts on trails? Also it looks like wold hair but there is no wolves in that area so im very confused and i’ve never seen anything like it before

I really like nature, animals and forests and I think I always have. Ive never visited or explored a forest before but I’d really like to one day. A lot of times when I’m outside and I come across a forest I feel a strong urge to just run into it and just look around but I never do. One time I asked my Mother if I could go to a forest and look around and she laughed at me and told me I quote on quote sounded white and she thought it was funny for some reason. Anyway I don’t know what I’m supposed to do about this not gonna lie.
I just did find this short snippet of a little soundcheck and improv session from our garden in 2021 … it’s more about the birds and not that much about the recording or playing .. I think I need to do a real recording session outdoors this year!
You can loop this video and have some nice bird sounds in your ears for your errands, the city or just your bubble …
