I've been looking for a scope mount for my Mk XIX. I have the older-style .50 caliber barrel that only has two slots, and hardly anything fits the barrel. I found pictures of this one via Google but no information, other than it may be made by B-Square. Does anyone know any more details?
Hi,
Looking to send it on a SS XIX in .50AE for $2200 on GunBroker, but thought I ask before I do, any deals out there?
I’m looking into getting a desert eagle but i’m conflicted between getting an older model because of appearances but i do like the barrel switching on the newer models so i can use .357/.44/50AE i’m just looking for maybe little facts to push me one way or another?
Anyone have a White matte distressed D.E ?
Has anyone used Speer Gold Dot .50 AE ammo? I have only used Hornaday but might have the option to purchase some Speer.
Hey everyone,
I was researching the availability of Desert Eagles for purchase and for custom order and—no surprise to anyone here—they're hard to find and even harder to custom order, with a lead time of 12-16 months.
Does anyone have any insight into what the production bottleneck is?
If I were Justin Moon (CEO of Kahr Arms, owner of Magnum Research), I'd be doing my darnedest to eliminate production bottlenecks given all the "out of stock" SKUs and the insane lead time.
Not only that, but you must tie up $2,800+ for 12-16 months while they figure out how to produce your firearm. Someone here had their money tied up for over 3 years. And if you cancel they charge you a 10% restocking fee which is nuts given how much demand there is for this gun.
I just don't get it; I'd manage the whole thing differently, and wonder if anyone here has insights into the business. Thanks.
Just picked up a black mark xix, really wanted burnt bronze. Should I have it duracoated? my local gun shop duracoats only and the reviews are all over the place.
I really want to pay under 2k for a stainless silver one in 50ae..
This is a concept design I made for a modified Desert Eagle .50AE, I nicknamed the Desert Beagle. Never owned one, but am a big fan of this handgun with the go big or go home image, even aside from what Hollywood did with it. I'm a big guy with big hands but it's still not very practical for concealed carry, but I started to visualize how you might do it. I worked this up and showed it to some folks that know about gunsmithing, expecting to be laughed at but they said this could definitely be done. It would be super loud, would have a heck of a kick and a huge muzzle flash, and forget about range and accuracy, but I wouldn't be taking it to the range, this would be for CCW and home defense. I figure when trouble arrives and I pull this little monster out of my baggy gym pants, they'll know they effed up. And for an intruder, the shock & awe of it going off in the house or yard at night is enough to scare them off for life.
I'd like to ask some people that have the know-how -- so, can it be done? And if you could do it, would you?
