I have a pretty low-end dishwasher, which works moderately well. It leaves a little bit of detergent residue, but nothing too bad. The main problem is it leaves weird sandy grit on some of the items on the top rack. So fair I’ve tried:
Cleaning the filter Cleaning the spray wands Running the water hotter Using more detergent Using less detergent Rinsing dishes first Only using really dirty dishes It only has two settings (normal & heavy) but I’ve tried both Increasing the rinse aid setting
I’m currently running a cycle with a whole bunch of vinegar and nothing but a single beautifully clean cup (I washed it by hand) to prove to myself I’m not imagining this. Any advice, other than what I’ve already tried, is appreciated!
I have recently been gifted a vintage ceramic Christmas tree. I gave it a good wash with dawn but there is a lingering odor. It’s maybe a mix of cigarettes and mothballs. I have it airing outside. I’m nervous to use vinegar so I wanted to see if anyone had tips for the odor.
It stinks so bad omg. Without denture cleaners I don’t have those, I’m 16 😂
I finally moved in with my boyfriend, so I’m finding things that need to be cleaned. His house is from the 70s and I’m not sure the acrylic panels in the kitchen have ever been removed. There’s a ton of flies and what I think is a huge moth in the light
My room literally just smells bad all the time, I have very good hygiene and always wear fresh clothes, I wash my bedding once a week and deep clean my carpets every 3 to 4 months, I also don't smoke in my room and it still smells terrible, anybody got any tips?
Over Thanksgiving , a plastic zip block bag fell into the oven and melted. Any tips on how to remove and clean that spot is greatly appreciated !
Update: I was able to simply pull off the majority of it but there is still a good amount stuck on there.
I
Hello there 🤗
I bought this table on marketplace and it's obviously in need of a good scrub, there's paint and random things on it!
Any suggestions to clean would be great, was hoping to avoid sanding it down.....
I was cooking in a pot for some curry and then as I was browning the meat this happened. Not sure what it is but anyone know how to clean? Thanks
Any tips for cleaning the top of the HVAC. I'm thinking CLR to remove the white residue
My housemate fell asleep with some food on the stove and nearly burned the place down. The entire unit was so full of smoke I could barely breathe putting out the fire.
Now the entire place reeks of what smells like burnt popcorn and it’s killing my allergies to the point I’m coughing so much I can’t breathe.
How do I clean this up? Do I need to hire a professional?
My toothbrush was starting to smell and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it I used vinegar etc
I finally figured it out
Take a cup of warm water Get denture cleaner (the little tablets)
Take the spin brush off and plop into cup Then tip the toothbrush upside down and leave in cup for a few hours, works like a charm Hope this helps!
I realize the title is odd but so is getting three bags of bath salts for Christmas in one year (I don't even use them).
Any suggestions how I could repurpose/recycle these? I don't want to just add to trash if there's a more obvious route.
Thank you!
Hello you can just call me Kay. I'm seventeen and I want to learn how to clean things properly. Now I want to be clear I of course know how to clean in the basic term. I do my own laundry, clean my sheets, sweep and mop, wipe of my counters. My room stays cluttered alot but I make sure to not leave out any plates, trash, or towels.
Still though I want to improve my cleaning habits and know how to actually keep a space clean, not getting overwhelmed when deep cleaning, and how to actually deep clean something.
What I'm basically asking is how do make sure a space is thoroughly cleaned in a deep clean. And how do clean things actually properly and not half assed? What products are good? How do you conquer a space that is very cluttered? What are good cleaning tequiniques?
Any advice is appreciated!
hey does anyone know how to clean the writing on the marc jacob's tote?? it is so dirty :(
This might seem like a dumb question, but somehow i cannot figure out how to clean the floor in a way that is not extremely tideous.
I usually use the vacuum cleaner and then mop. The issue is that I feel like the mop doesnt really pick up all the dirt. Some of the dirt seems to be stuck to the floor and I have to sit down and clean it by hand with a rag. Even if I apply a lot of pressure on the mop and go over the same area many times, there seems to be dirt left behind.
Am I doing this wrong? Hand-cleaning the floor takes up way too much time.
Howdy -
I live in a house with three dogs and a cat (the perks of formerly working in animal rescue)
Due to the pups going in/out, using screens during the fall, and overall obliviousness, my house has dust on dust on dust (and a few unintentional cobwebs).
Does anyone have any suggestions on tackling extremely dusty areas? The worst of it exists on my ceiling fans and my bay window blinds (they're wooden and a pain to take down). I'm trying to think of how to go about this without irritating my allergies (I do wear masks when I dust) / or just making the dust float elsewhere from it being disrupted.
Also,
Is there a dust spray folks enjoy for long term results? I have an almond based one but it usually keeps things clean for a week or two at a time.
Thanks for reading 😃/ here's my dog that looks like a fuzzy mop.
