Is there a good bakery in/near Summerville that delivers? Want to send my boyfriend something for his birthday
Hi!
I’m moving to Summerville next month and have a choice between Home Telecom, Xfinity and AT&T.
The apartment complex said they have a rep for home telecom but Xfinity I think had better pricing for internet
I was thinking to do internet only and get YouTube TV or similar, but am open to getting a cable package as well. I mainly use the TV for watching sports
Any inputs are appreciated

Best CrossFit/functional strength training gym in the area?
Hello. My uncle recently moved to Summerville. He called me an hour ago and said he started having double visions with headaches. I live in NY so I have no idea about hospitals in SC. Can someone tell me which is the best hospital in Berkeley County?

Angelina Davenport wants a seat on the Berkeley County School Board, but here’s what she’s already done: backed a $6,000 taxpayer-funded book ban that accomplished nothing. This isn’t leadership—it’s waste.
Berkeley County deserves smarter priorities, not frivolous spending. Where else will she waste our money?
Angelina Davenport’s campaign is swimming in political endorsements—while running for a non-partisan school board seat. If this is what non-partisan leadership looks like, what’s her real priority? Education or advancing a political agenda?
Our kids deserve leadership that puts students first, not politicians. Is she building a future for students or just stacking alliances with local GOP power players?
Looking for opinions on apartments in Summerville. Parks at Nexton seems nice. Any recommendations? Moving from Ohio. Is the area generally safe?
Head on collision just occurs and traffics backing up
If anyone knows any good Halloween parties/events happening this weekend, hit me up; I wanna give my costume a test run 😁
Hi All,
Mods - please advise if this type of post is not allowed: Found this super friendly guy in the apartments near the Herbert Jessen Public boat landing. I think he probably belongs to a neighbor. He's got a collar and a bandana, and doesn't seem like he's been out in the elements for long. Leasing office is closed so I haven't got much help from them yet. He's being spoiled and well taken care of, but I can't keep him for long. Please help spread the word, or let me know if you are or may know the owner!
I have a job opportunity that would require me to move to Summerville or at least in the surrounding area. I’ve never lived this close to the coast before and I have to say that the hurricanes and the flooding are making me a bit hesitant. I have pets including a few reptiles so evacuation would be a bit difficult. So what do you think? Would it be worth moving here?
Angelina Davenport, candidate for the Berkeley County School District, has shared content online that aligns with the rhetoric of controversial leaders like Viktor Orbán, who is known for his anti-LGBTQ+ policies and stance against immigration. This raises questions about the values Davenport might bring to our local schools.
📢 Here’s an example of her social media activity: “Viktor Orban warns Ursula von der Leyen: ‘Hungary cannot be blackmailed! There is not enough money in the world to force us to accept mass migration and to put our children in the hands of LGBTQ activists. This is impossible!’ True leader who loves his people.”
Why does this matter? This post isn’t about political preferences—it’s about ensuring our public schools remain a space for inclusion, diversity, and educational opportunity for all students. If Davenport’s social media reflects her values, it’s fair to ask what policies she might support on the school board. Will she advocate for all students, or will she promote exclusionary practices based on personal or political ideologies?
This is not about family values—it’s about control. What happens when a public official brings exclusionary views to an environment where children of all backgrounds should feel safe and supported?
🔍 Why You Should Care: School board members shape policies that impact every student in our district. Public endorsements and reposts can indicate what issues a candidate considers most important. Voters deserve to know if a candidate’s views align with inclusion, opportunity, and acceptance or with division and exclusion.
⚠️ Protect our schools from policies rooted in fear and control. On Election Day, say NO to Angelina Davenport for Berkeley County School District.
New to the area, anyone want to meet up for a drink or two on me?
As voters, we must critically examine the candidates running for our school board. Angelina Davenport has presented herself as a family-values candidate, but her actions paint a different picture. Her history of divisive tweets, affiliations with extremist groups, and censorship of diverse ideas raise concerns about whether she’s fit to lead Berkeley County’s education system.
• Deleted Social Media Accounts, But Not Her Agenda: Davenport wiped her Twitter account clean, but the values she promoted remain unchanged. Among her reposts were racially charged narratives suggesting media bias in crime coverage—a harmful stance that stirs division rather than promotes understanding.
• Affiliation with Moms for Liberty: Although she stepped down from her leadership role, her affiliation with Moms for Liberty, an organization labeled extremist by the Southern Poverty Law Center, continues to cast doubt on her priorities. This is not about education; it’s about control and exclusion.
• Fear-Based Narratives Instead of Educational Focus: Davenport’s campaign lacks meaningful discussion about student achievement or educational policy. Instead, she focuses on narratives that pit communities against each other. Her actions suggest she is more concerned with imposing her personal agenda than fostering an inclusive environment for all students.
• Censorship in the Classroom: Davenport’s push to ban 93 books—including classics—raises red flags about the future of education in Berkeley County. What happens when we allow personal beliefs to dictate what students can and cannot learn?
This election isn’t just about choosing a school board member. It’s about choosing the direction of our children’s future. Let’s reject censorship, reject division, and vote for leadership that values progress and inclusion over fear and control.
I found a class ring belonging to Matthew. I’d like to return it to them. Thanks
We just purchased a home in Summerville Place and my husband hears a train at night ( I’m still in California) I have searched online but cannot find a specific route, it’s near Ladson Rd. Is this a daily train? We didn’t realize our sleep would be disrupted by a train.
Two of our local candidates seem to be caught in a bit of a paradox. One loves flaunting crude thoughts for attention, and the other wants to ban anything remotely like it from our schools, libraries, or public conversations.
Tom Fernandez wants everyone to think about his 🍆—his words, not ours. Meanwhile, Angelina Davenport is on a crusade to make sure nothing remotely suggestive ever reaches your kids. If both are riding the same wave of GOP support, someone needs to figure out where they actually stand.
Do they want control over what we see, read, and hear, or do they want us to ‘think about it’? It can’t be both. Their fan bases might be on different pages, but the underlying goal is the same: keep you from making up your own mind.
This flyer says it all: whether they flaunt it or ban it, it’s all about controlling the narrative. Let’s push for independent thought instead of falling for these extremes.
Does anyone know whats going on at Ladson and Palmetto. I was getting gas at that spinx and like it looked likeaybe a body or something? Im not sure what was happening.
There are growing concerns about how the Berkeley County Growth & Development Facebook group, run by Tom Fernandez, is being managed. Multiple community members have reported being silenced or removed after raising valid questions about his campaign and policies.
With over 89,000 members, the group serves as a significant public forum, but critics suggest that dissenting voices are being controlled to prevent open discussion. Should a platform this large—run by someone seeking public office—be used this way?
Let’s talk about the importance of transparent leadership and accountability in our county.
It looks like they broke ground awhile ago, but nothing has been done
Hey y’all,
Does anyone know of a rental company that offers specifically an all white jump castle?
Thanks!
