CWR is hosting their monthly bike night (last one of the year) this Saturday. The will be donating a percentage of sales of raffle tickets and t-shirts to the family of of local biker Danielle who passed away a few weeks ago while being hit by a driver turning left in front of her. She was a friend of mine and helped teach me how to ride when I first started. She meant a lot to many other members of the local bike community here in Charleston. So any support for her and her family is really appreciated.
Is anybody here into motocamping? I decided to treat myself to a vacation motocamping along the blue ridge parkway over labor day weekend. I don't know shit about camping, and I especially don't know shit about motocamping, but god damn it I'm going to do it no matter how ignorant or unprepared I am.
I guess what I'm really asking is: Is there anybody here who is experienced in this hobby who is willing to take me under their wing for a safe local trial run to show me the ropes? Failing that, does anybody have any tips or advice for this trip?
Anybody have any experience with lanesplitting locally, or witnessed anyone doing it?
I've considered it, and have done a little weaving from one lane to the next, but I wonder how local cops and motorists will react.
Is there anyone who is planning on going to the CWR bike night this Saturday who would be interested in meeting up prior to heading out there and riding together? I'm on James Island but I would be up for meeting up anywhere this side of town or even downtown.
Does anyone know of a vintage motorcycle repair shop they can point me too? I recently purchased a 1972 Suzuki TC 125 J Prospector that will need some work done. Any leads will be appreciated. Thank you!
I feel like it would be interesting if we could get enough people together to do a reddit meetup. Could be interesting to see the different types of riders here on reddit and meet some people that we may not run into in our normal groups.
