Cannabonsai Cross

So I’m gonna let this male on the right (Jessie’s Girl Runtz x Blue Dream) pollinate this Blueberry Muffin. And I’m gonna let it happen in my dining room. These are houseplants after all.

First time question.

I’ve tried Bonsai trees before, but I would like to try a cannabis bonsai. Since I can’t grow outside in the winter, I need a grow light. This is the only plant I’ll be growing at the moment, so I want something small for 1 or maybe 2 plants. Something like a desk lamp. Does anyone have any light recommendations? The last small clip on grow-light I got from Amazon was less than satisfactory.

Coco coir and perlite mix- anyone have good results with this?

50/50 or 70/30 mix. Do I need to do anything extra to give my plant the nutrients I need?

Help starting

When should you start the training and trimming process, while the plant is still small, or do you let it get some size on it before starting on chopping and bending?

Can you grow a cannabonsai outside?

Or will it grow too big?

Atlas, a male Cannabonsai

It’s ok to Cannabonsai a male. I just keep shaping and pruning. When I’m done, I’ll plant a female and use Atlas as a scaffold. 🌱

How do you make sure it’s small?

Do you trim it? Keep it in a small container? I’m very confused. Do you need to buy special seeds.

2 months autoflower

Should I just prune it down to the main 3 buds? That one on the left is bugging me too

Benders

Fresh pot and ready to grow. 🌱

Taking the time to harden a plant helps build a strong set up that can hold up anything and give you time to shape and play with your stems. Not to mention the healthy amount of clones you can get.

Last Class of 2024

So proud of what is possible through Cannabonsai. I got to close out the year with a bunch of veteran growers, some even award winning and teach them about our fledgling genre. It really is the key to normalization. The more benders we can get going on this the sooner we get to our first local Cannabonsai cups! 🌱

Happy to help anyone set the same example for your local communities. Feel free to DM!
