Convinced that he has superpowers, the canine co-star of a hit TV show has his reality shattered after he is unwittingly shipped across the United States. Longing to save his partner, he embarks on a cross-country trek with the help of Mittens - a stray New York cat - and Rhino - a Bolt superfan. However, reality slowly sets in, and Bolt must confront the fact that his previous life, and his partner's love, may all be a lie.
