Hello, people of Austin. I had few drinks too much and seem to have lost my car keys and phone. It is a nissan key fob with a white and orange texas lanyard and my phone is a black iphone older model with the home button. If you find it, please email me at ikasule@utexas.edu.
Thank you.
My roommate has access to our energy bills, so I can't call without an account number ugh.
Using the sign as his “air guitar” nearly sent me over the edge… 😂 I was stuck at a red light and cackling to myself. This man deserves a raise! Pure joy, really. He was having fun.
Zodoc provides a platform for this but I feel like it's a bit lacking. So if you have a favorite Dr or one that you didn't really like, name them and describe what to expect for your fellow austinites.
Primary Dr, Family Dr, obgyn, basically anyone you think people may come looking for.
Hello, I’m taking this girl to dinner and wanting to take her to a romantic spot after to ask her to be my girlfriend. I saw covert park closes at 10, is it strict on times or can I still go after 10? Or any recommendations to go to later on in the night. We both get off of work at 730 pm so can’t do any earlier.
Please stop posting threads trying to identify businesses that are "MAGA" or whatever.

I've been homeless for a while. I don't have a car and have been sleeping at work but someone reported me and I can't do that anymore. I want to move back to Louisiana to live with family until I can recover from my mental health issues (depression, anxiety) but I don't have a way to get there right now. I don't have a support system in Austin anymore and I'm going to be sleeping on the street tonight for the first time. It's a scary prospect. I don't know what I'm even looking for with this post. I'm just scared, I guess.
Does anyone know of a women's medical clinic that has primary care doctors, specialists for arthritis, bones and also a therapy clinic? If so where and do you know of a great female doctor who takes their time and also listens to your concerns? I know I'm asking for alot but one can hope!
For the past couple of months I’ve been hosting a handwork (embroidery, crochet, knitting) a day time meet up for the parents at my kids school. I was recently asked if I would be open to hosting a meet up in the evening so some teachers and parents who are unable to make the daytime meet ups. Being that I’m a general homebody after 5pm I don’t know of in casual cozy places in South Austin near sunset valley that would be a good place for our group.
Hi,
I'm looking for a place that has a photobooth so I can take some pictures with my husband and baby.
Anyone know of a restaurant of any place with a photobooth? Preferably in south Austin
Thanks!
I’m a guy who’s really interested in history and fantasy genres, and I’m looking for a book club for people in their 20s and 30s. Does anyone have any recommendations or know where I could find one? I’d really appreciate the help!
You understand that's hit and run, right? If myself or anyone on the bus had claimed injury that would have been a serious crime.
Southbound Pleasant Valley @ 5th Street, just a few seconds shy of 7:40PM. You were in a black car with what looked like temporary plates, and I was in the giant blue bus.
It was a simple mistake, no big deal and no damage to my bumper and I would have been able to get your information in just a few minutes. I wouldn't have been angry at all, just mildly annoyed for the delay but these things happen sometimes.
It's the driving away part that's seriously concerning, especially since there were witnesses on the street. I hope this isn't how you normally drive and I hope you stop to trade information if you hit someone else in the future.
Please make better choices in the future.
Where I can lookup online for a property in the City of Austin a PUE (Public Utitlity Easement)?
Just drove by the strip center on my way home and saw the cops taping up the Papa John’s. Anyone know what’s up?
Did not know the skyline was observable from Cedar Park but you learn something new everyday!
My bf was pretty sure there had been a rat running around and I have no idea why he got into the wheelbarrow for safety instead of under the patio but RIP 🪦 TO YOU SIR
I think i just signed up for the shittiest insurance in TX.. Sendero Health "IdealBronze" through healthcare . gov. I had to make a portal request for them to send me an insurance ID card 3 weeks after I made my first payment.
Now looking for a new PCP, as the one they automatically selected for me on my ID card has left medicine as of 2023?! When I search hospitals (just in case for my reference) NONE come up as in network. I'm hopeful I'll get a job with better insurance in the new year, but can anyone with Sendero ease my worries?
Hi Austin,
There is a crack on the front windshield of my car. Just wanted some recommendations on where I could get it fixed.
Description: The chip looks small but it has spawned a leg (about 6 inches).
Thank you.
Simply put, I'm tired of being a recluse and want to get out and do some stuff, namely Battletech since thats what I like, though World of Darkness and Dungeons and Dragons are up there too. Any suggestions?
It's apparently been there for years. But I finally noticed that the street to Q2 stadium (Austin FC's home) is "Bright Verde Way".
Why not go all in and just call it "Camino Verde Brillante"?
Posting here since I'm not sure what I can do about this, and I want to prevent others for falling for this trap. I had a procedure with Ascension Seton in January of this year, and received my bill a few weeks ago. The bill from Ascension Seton was $2,800, which was way higher than I was expecting. I decided to do my due diligence and compare to the claim on my insurance- my insurance's EOB reported a patient responsibility of $620, $2.2k less than what Ascension charged me.
I contacted both my insurance (Cigna) and Ascension Seton through their portal. Cigna responded almost immediately and reinforced that the $620 was the correct amount that I should pay out of pocket. Surprise surprise, Ascension Seton never responded. After a week I decided to call them, and to their credit (and the credit of the customer service representative), they immediately admitted the mistake and updated the amount due on my account.
After they updated the amount, I asked the CS rep what caused the initial issue, to which she said it was the result of a cyber security attack earlier this year (note that nothing in that report mentions over-billing). I then asked: if I hadn't compared Ascension's bill with my EOB (both of which are extremely confusing) and caught this issue, what would have happened? Would I have just been out the $3k? The rep replied that Ascension sent out an "apology letter" about the attack. In other words, yes, I would have overpaid by $2,200, and Ascension would have done nothing about it.
I am so frustrated and disgusted by the way Ascension handled this, and I hate that medical providers can get away with shit like this, especially since I know that most people trust their providers to bill them correctly and never would have double checked the amount. Does anyone know if there's anything I can do (other than posting here) to hopefully hold Ascension accountable for this, and prevent this from happening to others? Happy to report this to the right authorities if possible.
Similar report from someone in this subreddit a few weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Austin/comments/1gb5sl2/shady_billing_practices_at_ascension_seton_main/?rdt=63403
tl;dr: Ascension Seton overcharged me by $2,200, and they wouldn't have done anything about it if I hadn't caught it and reported it myself. Please always do your due diligence and compare your bills to your insurance claim, and follow up if it doesn't make sense to you.
