What is that soundtrack that plays? It sounds so cool and I need it bad.

I know he said he was doing it all just to protect them and to see that scene and whatnot, but I don't get it. Was he insane? Did he just go on a rampage for no reason? Also, how did he interact with Grisha in the past? How did Grisha even see Eren and Zeke?

I couldn't help but notice that the big dipper was upright in the southern sky at 60° during season 1 episode 4 in the winter/spring position. Based on the upside-down world map, south would be north, but if the magnetic poles flipped, then maybe this is why the AOT universe is set upside-down. This would make sense why the climate is what it is, and why the northern star would be in the southern sky. Maybe.

Just finished AOT (it was great) and idk about anyone else, but I was… confused on a few things. Is there a lot that’s just left up for debate or has the writer of the story confirmed any types of theories?

Also, could someone reference me to a yt video or a post that explains the majority of the story ACCURATELY?

I’m mostly wondering about Eren’s morality, whether he had complete free Will or was basically a puppet to Ymir, how this time paradox worked exactly, etc.

The web is awash with anime recommenations for AOT fans, yet what about live-action series?

Personally, I think the modern rebooted Battlestar Galactica (a.k.a. BSG) is a great fit for AOT fans as has a very similar premise and plot-development:

• starts off with a seemingly impossible 'good guys vs monsters' conflict.
• becomes a deep dense drama about politics, philosophy, spirituality and mythology.
• has regular thrilling action sequences.
• main cast are military types who have to learn how to fight these mysterious foes.
• plot & characters develop in unforeseen ways!
• like AOT, has intelligent thoughtful dialogue with memorable characters and fine soundtrack.
• like AOT, it feels like one long story rather than a collection of episodes. Like AOT, it doesn't outstay its welcome (75 eps).
• it's a bit more sci-fi than fantasy, but like AOT the fantastic-elements complements the drama perfectly rather than overwhelms it.

Unlike AOT, it's a bit more accessible to find official streams or buy the DVD/Blurays :)

If you're interested, then avoid spoilers online! Mark any BSG Youtube-recommendations as "not interested" until you finish the series. And don't read user reviews of specific eps otherwise you may get inadvertantly spoiled (like i did when some idiot blurted out the ending of the second AOT Special in a user review for the first Special....ouch!).

And start not at Season 1, Episode 1...but at the so-called Mini-Series 3-hour Pilot (split in two 90min eps), which serves as the crucial setup for the main series:

Just finished watching AOT, heart is in pieces and head hurts, but atleast I can join this community now since I don't have any spoilers to avoid ☹️

First time watching, about to finish Season 2. I like the world and the story, and am intrigued about the Titans and all the lore behind that, but does Eren ever... Stop? He's constantly yelling, angry, reckless, woe-is-me, etc. I really find it off-putting. The rest of the characters seem fine, but...yeah.
