Wassup guys, I know this question has probably already been asked multiple times, i just don’t feel like looking for it😂. I’m about to start a rewatch of the show, and just wanted to ask if it’s better to watch in sub or dub? I wanna actually pay attention this time, so it would feel like it’s my first time watching it. Thank you in advance for the responses
Answer these questions (no wrong answers) 1.Tenth Titan shifter 2.Alternate ending 3.Different shifter(like Erwin being the colosal) 4.history before the titans 5.great titan war Wikimedia page 6.who dies first? 7.doesnt die? 8.other nation
My answers: 1.Cloning titan(can live more than 13 years can be inherited by non eldian also) 2.Erens friend don't stop him from rumbling 3.Mikasa as female titan 4.Marley being rome and eldia being the germanium 5.(too long) 6.Connie(he has no significant role) 7.Sasha/Hange 8.Dovoland(Russia)
My grandfather is 82 years old at the time of this post, he is chinese and has nothing to do all day. As Asians, it's more common for us to live under the same house, sometimes even extended family, as I live with him, I usually have alot of free time to spend with him. He loves action filled shows and personally he's like the old sensei in tv shows to me. He is kept up with current events, enjoys political drama and enjoys war films. Aot was perfect to introduce abit of Japanese anime to him, it started this year during my mid year school holidays, (the whole month of June), I had plenty of free time to binge anime and so did he, he doesn't do much besides hang out with friends and watch his classic chinese king fu films. The first I time I asked him, "do you wanna try an animated show?" he was skeptical but eventually went with the idea.
The first episode was alot for him to take in, he is usually seen watching king fu or chinese ww2 films, both very different from the mood of the first episode, he had to sit at his desk and ask me to draw out and re explain most of the things in the episode, like the walls, the names of our MC's and what titans are, I on multiple occasions had to remind him, "Can't say, spoilers!" which he'd get irritated cause he immediately loved it.
We finished season one with a bang, he had to take his time to see how the titan face was in the wall (time has done its toll), I explained to him what je just witnessed and he laughed, saying, " This show is unlike the films we watched, it goes far more in depth, and titans are interesting, how a human can whoop! turn into a titan, and how titans are like cannibalists!" we would spend time before and after each episode to analyse every last detail, he was just like that, no question could remain unanswered.
season 2, when he first watched it, he laughed at the beast titans appearance, he said it looked ugly and fat. (Lmao) he was perplexed by it talking, as he tried to figure out what titans are, he was so dedicated trying to figure out answers in his head, that most times after the episode, he would be thinking for so long he'd fall asleep. Cut to the big reveal, he was in awe, and looked at me pointing his finger at the tv with his eyes popped saying, "reiner and what's his name are titans?" I smiled at him telling him to enjoy the moment, a few episodes later when eren activated the coordinate, he had even more questions, soon finishing season 2 with another bang.
season 3 part 1 he got more focused as the dialogue episodes started increasing, however he enjoyed the political regimes and the coup by erwin and pixis, he agreed to the idea how everyone is a slave to something, he said he was a slave to his wife.(LMAO) like the previous seasons, he'd get more questions but have alot of them answered, unlike other people who enjoys aot, he didn't pay attention to characters as much, as he loved the plot more than anything.
season 3 part 2 we clocked in half of these episodes in the same day, he noted how erens fighting style is very coordinated and well choreographed for animation, him stating how realistic it was, he'd know, his young days were full of gangs and fights. What he was most particular in however was Erwins charge, he suggested an idea I wouldn't even think of, he noted that erwin could've charged from multiple angles, he noted how the town was huge and had 3 points of attack, each corner and the front, he said that erwins speech wouldn't matter as much when he charged to death but instead when he was speaking to the recruits head on, he said charging at multiple angles would've saved more soldiers and how he noted levi could've booked a horse behind zeke without him noticing with the scouts covering more ground. Apart from that, he loved Erwins character and charisma, which was rare considering what I said previously. That scene when Eren Kruger tells Grisha about mikasa and armin, my grandfather was shocked at first, he actually got really close, he said he thought the attack titan had time related powers, he said it was the most probable reason.
s4 he wasn't too shocked about the idea that there were still survivors outside the walls, after all he put more deep thinking in AOT than how to find Google on his phone, he enjoyed this season far more because of how it started to resemble what he loved most, he commented on Marleys military strategies, including their trench warfare from s4 ep1, artillery, armoured vehicles (the train) and the use of more modern equipment with titans, like how zeke air bombed that base with titans. Erens reveal, he didn't notice at first but when it went to episode 5s post credit, he was again shocked by Erens reveal, he stated how if he was there, most likely the scouts were too, (he's good at this) each battle struck awe and excitement in him, and when it got to Gabi, he was most interested in her character, he enjoyed taking real life examples and putting then with fiction to understand them better, Gabi was a victim of political brain washing, and things got even better, our talks got longer and sometimes even during dinner.
I'll skip some more detail as this post is getting too long already lmao.
erens betrayel, the second uprising against the leader of paradis was again, expected, he noticed Erens behavior being like an emotional moody teenager and saw it coming. The jeagerists sparked abit more intrigue in him, fast forward to the euthinization plan, he could somewhat relate however saying war is ever so inevitable, zekes plan is only temporary. cut to the rumbling, the battle of heaven and earth was honestly his favourite moment, he enjoyed how odm gear was similar to spiderman and the battle scenes were action full, he wasn't phased much on Erens death but in the end he took away this summary.
And I quote, "Attack on Titan is a once-in-a-lifetime show, you can never get anything like it from what I've seen, I like the portrayals in the final season with the girl (gabi) being a victim to a corrupt government and how she eventually became a better person by seeing through the lies, the euthinizing plan and the rumbling are both heavily debatable options for the shows settings which make you think who's right or wrong, if that even is the case. In wars there's no bad guy, just miscommunication or ideologies which the person who believes in them truly devoted themselves to it. Attack on Titan demonstrates it perfectly, and the shadows of today's world, in the end it is a 10 out of 10, it takes alot of thinking to process it, and all the characters were enjoyable, it was really a true masterpiece."
Thanks for reading through this story of our lives, all because of Attack on Titan, to end it of I'd like to give a fun fact, my aunt who likes western shows much more than anime or Chinese king fu movies said how she was disgusting and that aot sucks in her opinion, (she only watched s1) oh and did I mention this was a family gathering at a fine dining chinese restaurant? My grandfather practically defended AOT like it was his life on the line, it was hilarious, thanks for reading through do much lmao.

I have watched every episode save for the last two specials. I have been reading that the 2025 movie will be those specials combined with additional scenes. Should I wait to watch in theaters? February just seems so far away 😩 but if it would be worth it, I can wait.
I’ve been pondering this ever since Marley was revealed: what if it were true? What if all that was left within the Walls was the last bastion of humanity? What if there was nothing left of human life beyond the Walls? Would Eldia make it? This also suggests there was no breach in the walls of Shiganshina.
In this scenario, there would be no external threats from Marley or other human civilizations beyond the Walls. (Other then pure titans and abnormals obviously) Additionally, the Colossal Titan’s attack on Shiganshina, which led to the breach of Wall Maria, would not have occurred.
With humanity confined entirely within the Walls and no external human threats or interactions, how do you think Eldia’s society and future would unfold?
The way Willy Tybur says in the English dub, "willingly parting with my false glory" pisses me off. It just makes my brain itch.
On the other hand, I love how Matt Mercer delivers Levi's line, >!"The beast is in the FIELD!"!< in the final episode.
Analyzing Eren's psychology in detail from Season 4 onward is largely ambiguous because Isayama rarely hints at what Eren saw after kissing Historia's hand. What exactly did he see? Certainly, it was a collection of fragmented memories. Given these individual pieces to form clues about the larger picture, how did Eren envision the big picture that led to his subsequent actions?
I want to point out that Eren genuinely suspected that the Ackerman clan members were bound by the "tendency to protect their host" (as translated by Netflix), the tendency to submit to a master of their own choosing—Mikasa towards Eren. This is why he met with Zeke to ask about it, and even during his final conversation with Mikasa in the Paths, he was worried that she would be bound for life by her master—him—symbolized by the scarf, which led him to persuade Mikasa to take it off.
This suspicion might stem from him being spoiled about the ending where Mikasa has a connection with Ymir Fritz—the true slave bound to her master, King Fritz—along with his confusion about why Mikasa cared for him so much. The "protective instinct of the Ackerman clan"—turning Mikasa into a slave like Ymir—was Eren's way of rationalizing his questions about Mikasa.
If that's the case, then EreMika has an additional parallel where both of them strive to truly understand each other's real selves in a reality that has never been immutable. However, Mikasa is influenced by her initial feelings/impressions when Eren played the hero saving her in the past, while Eren is affected by fragmented memories of her choices in the future.
Ultimately, after expressing his desire for "Mikasa to throw away the scarf to live a free life," he sees Mikasa choosing "to live a free life"—by decapitating Eren for her own ideals—while still wearing the scarf around her neck. At least, I think Eren has come to see the true choice of the one he loves and worries less for her now.
I was reading the manga 16 of aot and during Rod's speech I had a question: Why does it necessarily need someone with "royal blood when all Eldians are descendants of Ymir? I know that during the Eldian empire there were other people besides the king and Ymir, so obviously there would also be people from the empire who don't have Ymir's blood. But this implies that not all Eldians could transform into titans, as not everyone would necessarily have Ymir's blood. So, why would Eren, even though he is a descendant of Ymir, need royal blood to activate the founder?
The Curse of Ymir? Even when he was pushing zero to become a warrior? Grisha doesn’t seem to connect this when Eren Kruger turns ill and has to have it explained to him.
*this was probably answered before but idk how to word it to find it.
i can’t remember the exact quote but in the end when armin faced the marleyns who still wanted to kill eldians he said he was the one that killed eren. was it not mikasa ? like ofc armin helped but mikasa was the one that killed eren and helped free ymir, so why did he say that ?
Mine is “Hey Annie, I hope you have a valid locomotive operators license cause you about to get a train run on you” 🤣😭
I’m just confused if this is new content or if it’s just the same thing we’ve already seen in the series w/ maybe some new bonus stuff in the post credit scenes?
AOT Comparison: TV vs Blu-Ray vs Last Attack Movie
That is like the 3rd time Erwin's design got "fixed". Why would they need all this fixing if their work was so peak? Why would they go all their way to draw Erwin wrong twice?
Honest question.
