Beautiful songs for dark minds.

"Here at the edge of this world. Here I gaze at a pantheon of oak, a citadel of stone. If this grand panorama before me is what you call God, then God is not dead."

Atmospheric album recommendations without vocals

Hi all, I'm new to the genre and I'm looking for Atmospheric Black Metal album recommendations without any vocals. I love ambient and dynamic drums.

My favorite album so far is Sannhet - Known Flood.

Thanks a lot in advance!

In Umbra - Heksebrenner

A song I made with u/CrossboneSkulled It may not be fully atmospheric, but the rest of my music is atmospheric so it still counts

Svrm releases for sale?

anybody have any Svrm releases they’d want to sell? I’m obsessed with this band. I’ve got their newest release on vinyl, a copy of their first demo on cassette, the 7” with the skeletons gardening another one I can’t remember right now.

Hi all! Im starting an atmospheric ambient black metal project and im looking for VST Synths or Presets to make sounds similar to Lustre, Severoth, Dreams of nature, Basarabian Hills, Nebula Orionis, Elderwind, Eldamar, etc...

I have been using the DAW Studio One for a long time and i have everything else to compose but i need synthesizer sounds that fit the genre

Any recommendations? Thanks!

List of atmospheric/melancholic sections in black metal songs

Since I’m feeling sad as shit with nothing to do atm, decided to make a list of my favourite atmospheric/melancholic sections in some of the bm songs I listen to…

A lot of these sections have really nice build-ups and are, a lot of the time, factors which caused me to absolutely love these songs, if not at first listen then after either a couple of streams or however long it took for the track/s to grow on me. Most of these are post black bands, though there are a few exceptions. Reckon it’ll be a good way to give some attention to these artists (made this list using songs which are on spotify btw. Definitely recommend listening to these there but I’ll provide the links anyway).

If you like any of these, definitely check out their other stuff as well - you’ll end up finding some similar songs and atmosphere’s, you may even prefer those more!
