I think that obscure sphinx are the most underrated band of all time everyone should give their song nothing left a listen. Also a new album is on the east very soon For some reason 3/5 songs in their top on Spotify are interludes😭
One to add to the jolly festive season soundtrack of your dreams. Happy December.
Hey folks, we’re Amerta—a five-piece post-metal band from Jakarta, Indonesia. While post-metal is our main vibe, we love experimenting with sounds, diving into the progressive, and even sprinkling in some doom and sludge metal here and there. Basically, we like to keep things heavy and unpredictable.
Ghost Cult Mag had some kind words about our debut album Nodus Tollens (peep the review: https://ghostcultmag.com/album-review-amerta-nodus-tollens-self-released/), but we’re dying to know what you think! Give it a spin here: https://amerta.bandcamp.com/album/nodus-tollens.
Also, if there are any booking agents, labels, or fellow musicians lurking here who’d be down to collab, hit us up!
Local band just released their debut album this past month. Thought I’d leave it here for your hatred or enjoyment
My attempt at combining djent and post-metal
One of the heaviest songs ever made
I was listening to dredg - lechium off their album leitmotif, and it seems it could pass for something post-metal. A little bit of atmosphere, a little bit of screaming, and percussion driving it the whole way through.
So, was wondering, what are some songs or works from any other genre that could fit into this one, at least from some angle?
Can't wait to see these guys again this year, from a small room above a bar to this.
the first song i heard from them was grinning mouths from the soundtrack of ex drummer. was impressed so i checked the song on YouTube then other songs. it was a love from first "sight". the begining and the end, false light, threshold of transformation, holy tears, not in rivers but in drops, in fiction, pliable foe, hym, carry, wrists of kings, grey divide, low tide are few of thieir best work for me and a must listen for fans of this genre
Which bands would you rank in your top four? For me, it's Neurosis, Isis, Cult of Luna, and Rosetta, in no particular order.
Edit: thanks for the recommendations!
