Guidelines to posting:
Submission source: -Try and submit high-quality material/original sources (no promo channels) such as Soundcloud and Bandcamp. YT links are allowed but not preferred due to transcoding issues, poor album experiences, and inconsistent tags/collections/etc.
Original works are allowed. Use "Artist - Title" format. Mark own work with self-promo flair, for other posts/topics use flair too.
Try and help others discover new artists rather than posting genre standards such as Stars of the Lid, Tim Hecker, Aphex Twin, William Basinski, Brian Eno, Gas, etc. (New works from these artists are allowed.) Similarly most playlists will be removed unless the focus is on unique content and does not come from a spammy source.
ASMR and other non-music will likely be removed as there's plenty of other appropriate places for that.
Drone music and field recordings are welcome. For music that doesn't de-emphasize melody, rhythm, and form but incorporates ambient elements or is similar to ambient such as downtempo, lounge & chill-out, new age, neoclassical, chillstep, chillwave, ambient techno, ambient/chill house, illbient, atmospheric drum n' bass, ambient IDM or post rock, please visit their respective subreddits or try /r/ambientmusic and /r/ambientbeats, for more general ambient subs.

Gigantvm Regio, a project I started last year inspired by old legends from Patagonia and made a demo in a couple of days, its some sort of dark ambient/drone ambient with a lot of distortion, mysterious and heavy sounds
Hey everyone, sorry if this post doesn't fit here but it's made in good faith. I just wanted to jump in and say: I'm a guy training to be a journalist in the UK and I'm doing some market research into the possibility of creating a magazine about ambient music, partly as a University project, partly as a business venture that I'm hoping I'll be able to pursue within 6-8 months. if anyone's feeling charitable, I've linked a google doc which asks eleven quick questions about you, so that I can better understand demographics of people who listen to ambient. It shouldn't take you too long at all: I'll be forever grateful to whichever internet strangers decide to answer. Thanks! :))
I would appreciate everyone listening and giving me a feedback about what he feels while listening to this <3
Always had ambient music in mind for night time sleep music, but I've become more of a morning person, especially when it starts getting lighter on a morning and enjoying easing into my day with coffee, juice and some eggs.
What would you recommend to go with a bright early morning, catching a sunrise and generally having something bright and sunny playing, but still ambient.
I've discovered Poemme from the Stereoscenic label and will be playing her today
OK I'll start. TenHorned Beast because he captures the Conan the Barbarian vibe without being cheesy about it and he can be very hypnotic. Emme Ya because it genuinely sounds like he (they ?) are getting up to something dark and bloody that you don't want to stumble in on. And Black Mountain Transmitter and Vidushpura Kali because they actually frighten me.
A latest piece, released several days ago... One of my all time favorites.. And i am in music for over 20 years now ☀️
Hey y'all, I formatted this incorrectly early so here's a repost. Hope you like it and have a nice weekend!

These bros were so influential for me as a youth... what happened to them?
