As the title says, I’m looking for anime similar to the series Gate. The modern military and fantasy elements really appealed to me and I’d like to find more like it.
My Top Anime Ranked
Monster
Berserk 1997
Death Note
Attack on Titan
My Top Anime
My Top Comedy Anime
Just subscribed to netflix, anu recommendation on a good anime to binge watch, preferred 90s anime.
After watching dubbed anime for a few months now, I am switching to sub, after making it half way through bunny girl senpai, I have realized I like sub a lot more than dub, please suggest me some romance or comedy anime, or even rom-coms, that would be ideal for a newcomer to sub anime, also im okay with fan service and Ecchi, and one more thing I’m a big fan of anime where the couple or harem live in the same house
i found that i really enjoy seinen that’s written by women. josei recommendations will be welcomed as well
preferably manga, but anime’s are okay too
Like, it's a normal world but as the plot starts, the magic system happens, it's new and its users all have to learn
I have no idea what to watch rn but I feel like watching some Romance.
Mine in no particular order are :
Currently on my watchlist is
https://anilist.co/user/Daneboyscrew/
Most aren’t rated as I’m too lazy 🤣, but assume they’re around 6-8/10
I did post a few days so I do apologise for that.
Looking for anything that’s in the same vein of Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, JJK, Chainsaw man, Hells Paradise, Solo Leveling, Dororo, Kaiju no 8.
Thanks in advance.
Anytime someone posts "modern anime is shite" the usual response is that theres just a lot more anime to filter through with a lot more good anime. I reach out to you all to help me find those shining jewels.
Im looking for more mature anime that arent isekai, shounen, or power fantasies. I enjoy anime with a deep plot, interesting art style, and/or flushed out characters
Some modern shows that I've already watched and enjoy: AOT, Vinland Saga, Trigun Stampede, Golden Kamuy, Heavenly Delusion, Under Ninja.
Some of my favorite "classic" anime: Ergo Proxy, Cowboy Bebob, Paranoia Agent, Serial Experiments Lain, Tatami Galaxy, Mushishi, Evangelion, Monster.
(My top 5 of all time, no particular order. These anime have been my top 5 for the longest time.)
86
Your Lie in April
Dororo
Fate/Zero
FMAB
(Numbers 6-10, these are constantly changing but here are the ones I have right now)
Code Geass
Saiki K
Apothecary Diaries
Pluto
Gurren Lagann
Honorable Mentions: Tensei Slime, Classroom of the Elite, My Happy Marriage, Death Note, Parasyte, Evangelion, One Piece, Vinland Saga, Black Clover, Dr. Stone
Very diverse top 10 so I’d like to see what people come up with.
I'm looking for animes that have opening segments that completely subvert the expectations of what the show will actually be OR use the opening (or a brief lack of an opening song) to signify a shift in the story.
Three examples I can think of right now are Cautious Hero, Watamote, and Renai Flops.
So idk if this from a anime or manga/manhua but there this one guy in it not the mc who keeps helaing him self but he want to get strong but he dosnt because he keeps healing all the musles so he just stays weaka nd the guy is obsessed with strong buff men hes also a genius mage i believe and the guy is super skinny and looks bony ish not the mc
I want a isekai anime where the MC was super strong in his past life but kept all his powers in his new one instead of having to level up or something along those lines. Ive watched about 5 isekais and I like them so I am hoping theres more.
Basically I had come up with an anime series recently as the concept is that an everyday person is pretty normal at first, but then she starts to be able to do things such as being able to manipulate time itself.
The idea is that what starts off as pretty grounded soon reveals itself to be a sci fi anime series as characters can do all kinds of things such as again not only being able to manipulate time, but also open up portals to other dimensions that lead to alternate universes, and so I was wondering if there was an anime series that had used such a concept, but if not, then that’s fine.
If you could check my profile and recommend me something to watch or read (manga) these next few weeks. Prefer finished rn. Open to any suggestions, if its something big i prefer it in manga form usually please specify which versions you find the best if youve done both. Thanks for the help https://myanimelist.net/profile/theD00mGuy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTQu1kn-eVY I think this isn't an anime but instead just an ad or something. Are there any actual animes with the same feel as this?
I've seen 150 or so anime and have watched a lot of isekai and romance, recommend me something from any genre you think is underrated!
Looking for anime recommendations that doesn't have jump scares or horror elements but the plot still manages to send shiver down the spine. I think it is called Psychological Horror genre.
I don't know how to explain this properly as English is not my primary language.
Happy Sugar Life is one instance of such animes for me, the ending creeped me out.
I am looking for anime that makes me think and has plot twists. But things I don't want are unrealistic like character art, like too much chibi or colorful hair with weird ass costumes. Want characters who look like real life people and behave like real people.
Best anime to fit in this category I've watched are death note, steins gate, aot. I liked monster and shigurui as well.
I want a list of 25 anime that can do this. I don't want anime that are already popular for being the saddest anime. I want anime that are not popular and are underrated including the fact that it can make a person do something which can make you do unalive.
It starts out with a guy having weird visions from his eyes, he asked doctors about it but they had no answers.
Then it turns out that what he was seeing was actually real and turns out there is an evil rabbit guy killing people.
I want to continue watching but i forgot the name and haven't been able to find it again.
Update
I do remember watching the anime after seeing this video
But the anime i watched didn't exacly match up with it and i may have mixed it up. I did however search for an anime based on that video but now i find nothing when i try to search. Ill go over my history again, maybe it was just a dream..
I am pretty sure the killer supernatural rabbit (which was almost like a human with a rabbit suit) was in the anime i watched.
Just watched solo leveling and instantly loved it.
Best thing ive watched since aot.
Prefer this level of intensity to a series like shangri la.
Doesn't have to be action focused, just looking for something that ended and has a supernatural mystery aspect to the story without it being very long.
Most mysteries I've tried are way too long for their own good so they lose focus and eventually peeter out with a disappointing ending (looking at you Urasawa).
Recommend me and anime like toradora, thought it was pretty chill.
Manga or manhwa both are fine even Otome is okay just should be dark. I've a stomach of steel so don't worry and give your recs!
Ig for example:
One room of happiness
Sekai oni
I Love Your Cruddy..
I Reincarnated as the Little Sister of a Death Game Manga's Murder Mastermind and Failed
Lady devil
How To Get My Husband On My Side
My Fiance is in Love with My Little Sister
Nullitas ~The Counterfeit Bride~
LIMIT by Keiko
Kedamonotachi no Jikan
When I reincarnated in the horror world, there was a murderer's recommendation
The Male Lead is a Murderer
Happy Sugar Life
Villains Are Destined to Die
Head over heels
Resetting lady
Roxana
Solitary lady
A fairy tale for villains
Surviving Romance
If You Wish for My Despair
Joou Heika no Isekai Senryaku
The Time of the Terminally ill Extra this ones just sad ig not really
Pale horse
Red fox
Stigma effect
Dokuhime
One Step Forward to the Flower Path (only the starting chapters)
The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass
Maydare Tensei Monogatari: Kono Sekai de Ichiban Warui Majo
Tongari Boushi no Atelier
The shows I've taken the most liking to are MHA, Black Clover, Demon Slayer, Death Note and Jujutsu Kaisen and I was hoping for something similar to these or just any overall suggestions would be great and appreciated.
Is there any anime that is similar to Akame ga kill but with the difference that the main characters won't die or something with happy ending?
So basically anime where "bad guys" get what they deserve and the main character does not hesitate to kill. I found Overlord similar, but the atmosphere of Akama ge ga kill was more interesting for me.
Thank you for every recommendation.
