High Rise Invasion, Smart Phone isekai, Skeleton Knight isekai, that animal high scool furry stuff were fun as heck.
Any suggestions you feel like theyre underrated
I have made a spreadsheet to keep track of comics shows novels I’ve read and I can’t find this one I’m sure I should have read so I might have mislabeled it. Can’t remember a whole lot of it but there is a scene where I think the Mc got some achievements (helped the a princess) and met the king her father. I don’t know what the deal is with the queen (princess’s mother/stepmother?) but she offers the mc a key to her bedroom in front of everyone at the gathering, he declines and later they all (minus king) leave to go on a journey. I think it’s the end of an arc.
I apologize if this is vague but I read way too much stories + am horrible with names so being able to keep track is really helpful but I’m prone to mistakes. I used to use websites but they were too restrictive I liked anime planet but hated their pulldown menus and lack of alternate names listed.
Basically the idea is that a show starts off silly at first with characters shouting silly phrases like “monkey cheese” but then as it goes on, it slowly begins to take on a somber tone.
I just enjoy anime series with tone shifts as done right, it can be fun to see a show change its atmosphere as what was once utterly silly suddenly becomes unsettling in a good way.
We all know the "Oh no, there was a misunderstanding and now the MCs want talk to each other for an entire season, when the whole situation could be solved with one conversation" trope.
But what anime has actually used a misunderstanding well for it's plot?
Hi everyone, I’m here looking for some good anime to watch. I just finished Pandora Hearts (I had heard the manga was good and figured the same for the anime), went into it blind because I really wanted to experience it for myself. I was really disappointed with how it ended and I learned that it was completely different from the manga. I’m going to end up reading Pandora Hearts unfortunately (or fortunately, I just would have loved to watch the whole story), but I now really want a palette cleanser lol.
Specifically anime with satisfying and good endings. A happy ending would be a bonus, as Pandora Hearts left me a bit depressed 😭 some of my favorite anime:
Naruto, Madoka Magica, Fruits Basket, Free!, Toradora, Clannad, Hunter x Hunter, Mob Psycho 100, Toilet Bound Hanako-kun, Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Evangelion, Noragami
Anything similar to these would be great too. I really love stories that hit both emotional beats and comedic ones, though both in one aren’t necessary. I also love complex deep characters, good development, appealing art styles. Stories that may explore the trauma of characters is also a plus for me. It’s a huge bonus if somehow action is mixed in with all of this. Thanks so much!
Hey yall,
I really need some help. I’m having a hard time finding anime’s my girlfriend likes. Can you analyze the ones she enjoys vs the ones she didn’t and suggest me anime that she would potentially like based on the list below?
I’m having a hard time cause her likes seem to be all over the place. For example, she really enjoyed Samurai champloo, but did not enjoy Cowboy bebop. I think her biggest thing is that she needs to have a strong connection to the characters and a story that captures her attention quickly.
She enjoyed:
She did not enjoy:
Attack on Titan
Cowboy Bebop
Frieren
One Punch Man
Jujutsu Kaisen ( she likes the movie but not the anime, I think she likes the characters of the film more)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ( we enjoyed the first half but I feel like the story started dragging halfway through and we ended up dropping it)
Thank you so much!
Hi! This is my first post so sorry if it is formatted incorrectly!
I just recently got into anime- how exciting!
I’m looking for suggestions after I finished Kuroko’s Basketball! I really loved the characters and storyline.
I’ve also watched The Disastrous Life of Saiki K and Castlevania Nocturne and I did enjoy both of those!
I think I’m trying to find something with high stakes and little to no romance.
Thanks!
Hi, I want to watch an anime that is slowburn romcom? I want the mc not to be so dumb like rent a girlfriend. I want a plot that have satisfying development in the process. TIA!
Guys suggest me some Animes that are so edgy that they almost become cheesy with the long dialogues full of profanity and character names like The Invincible Blood Breaker or something. I've watched Castlevania and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. Devilman: Crybaby and The Fist of North Star somewhat fit this trope aswell
Or basically 90s comicbooks like Spawn and Bloodstrike that popularized this trope
My favorite genre is romance. I like Isekai and action anime too but by far romance is my favorite.
That being said I've practically inhaled every romance anime I've come across and have no clue what to watch now.
I'm a sucker for actual development. Stuff like Horimiya, Amagami SS, Lv 2 Cheat Isekai, Golden Time, 3D Kanojo Real Girl and such. I REALLY like it when things actually happen and it's not just teasing.
So please recommend me everything you can, I'd appreciate if they're finished too but it isn't necessary.
Thank you!
I completely ran out of anime to watch. So I decided to start rewatching. But I don't remember what was good since I might have watched it a few years ago. So just suggest me high quality anime you like of any genre except tragedy anime, it can be well known! Also I like trashy Isekai that are actually good if you know what I mean, so if you know of any please tell me. Thank you :)
Looking for some anime with action/fights and tense situations that would keep at the edge of my seat.
Also has to have ecchi situations or fanservice. And maybe comedy bits.
If possible I'd like the artstyle to be like these two.
I know there is a mountain of this genre, so ill try to narrow it down. something like battle in 5 seconds, where there are strategy and tactics from both the allies and enemies. and both parties have to figure out the others ability. a big focus on the abilities and their dynamics too. and it shouldn't have a fuel power system (like nen, spirit energy, whatever).
jojo and others like it doesn't fit this criteria since most of the casts abilities doesn't really make for a dynamic fight with the enemy. i.e, avdol just has fire, polnareff has a sword, jotaro punches people for the majority of part 3. though it does do some interesting ability combinations from time to time.
bonus points if they dont include the stupid glow effect whenever someone activates an ability. I like chainsaw man more for that reason..
extra bonus points for grounded abilities (condition based)
Looking for an anime where MC gets betrayed by his friends and seeks revenge. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I can't find any more of these fantasy battle shounens by myself now.😭 Please help a girl out and let me know if there are any other animes or mangas like these. I repeat that YOU CAN RECOMMEND MANGAS TOO.
🍥The ones similar to what i'm asking for (that i've seen or know of):
Naruto
Bleach
One Piece
Demon Slayer
Kaiju No. 8
Black Clover
Jujutsu Kaisen
Fairy Tail
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
My Hero Academia
Hell's Paradise
Attack on Titan
📚Mangas without adaptations like that (that i've read):
Gachiakuta
Daemons of the Shadow Realm
🔵The other battle shounens i've watched (some, dropped):
Sabikui Bisco
World Trigger (watched a few eps)
Bungo Stray Dogs
Hunter x Hunter
Seraph of the End
Blue Exorcist
🔴The ones i'm not sure are battle shounens that i've watched:
The Promised Neverland
Dr. Stone
Mob Psycho 100
Tokyo Revengers (not fantasy, that's why it's here)
Windbreaker (same as Tokyo Revengers)
Noragami
Gintama (only watched a few episodes)
Magi (didn't finish ep 1 bc the fanservice just made me uncomfortable)
Chainsaw Man (this one feels like it should have +18 to me lol, idk if it counts as shounen. Made me uncomfortable so i dropped it.)
Fire Force (the dialogue and writing are too juvenile, even more so than Blue Exorcist and that one was really juvenile too.)
Gurren Lagann (watched a couple of eps and don't know if i should continue)
Yu Yu Hakusho (watched a few eps)
💁🏻♀️The things i like the most about them in general are the relationships between characters, and how they have so many cool characters with cool powers (ig AoT doesn't have different powers but it's still great). So you could recommend something that isn't shounen that has this criteria, or feels like the first ones i wrote. Like One Punch Man.
I am planning to watch one isekai anime, haven't watched any isekai till now what's the best isekai to start Suggest me any I prefer if it is completed. Anyway I want to watch best isekai even if it is completed or not. And also can anyone tell me if no game no life is worthh wattching Thank you!!
i love isekai, except that i hate 90% of all isekai because most of them use the concept of "travelling/incarnating to another world" as an excuse to give the MC Cheat power or that he is more mature than those around him because he is a 40 years old in younger body or something (incarnation), thus giving him an insane advantage in this world and make the story very lame in the beginning (which to me is the most important part of a serious story), I want to watch/read something that takes the concept seriously and focuses more on either:
- the MC actually want to go back to their original world.
- expands on what happened to the people who actually loved and cared for MC in the original world.
- in case of incarnation, a story where the MC questions his new body, like "what happened to the original owner/soul of this body? is this really my body or did i steal it from someone?"
I just finished it and oh my god it was so good, I am looking for more anime to watch, but everything I looked at is boring/not my taste. I like mystery style anime with a side of romance!
And yes, I have watched Bungo stray dogs and link click.
It would also be cool if there wasn’t any female fan service or really any predominant female characters
I’m really into sword fighting, demons/yokai, tragic backstories, and main characters that look weak but are actually strong
I feel like I’ve watched everything that fits into those categories so…
Any suggestions?
I saw an Instagram reel where in a magic school, a teacher was saying something like 'electric spirits, lend me you're power, something about electricity. He then said that depending on how to segment the incantation, it gets different alterations.
Please recommend me some anime like Fairy Tail but without all the long drawn out battles. Listen I love Fairy Tail.. I do, but it's hard to power through it when there are soo many episode arcs of fight after fight after fight etc etc It's just not my cup of tea.
I love the characters and their backstories. I love how friendship is the most important thing to them. I love how eccentric and crazy they all are and I love how Makarov is like a family head who cares for and protects all his children. But the battles are too much and it's taking me forever to finish it. (I just reached the 7 year jump but all the battles on the island are so long and ridiculous that I had to take a break and put it on the back burner.. just a simmer lol a long simmer)
Anyway I love the slice of life or filler episodes more than anything.. the events or when they just goof off and have fun, but I also love the drama that makes me cry
I've already seen Fruits Basket and ReLife. That's kinda the vibe I'm going for here. Big cast of characters who are all important with their own storylines and something I can ship. I also really enjoyed Kiznaiver and Tokyo Revengers but that does have some battles (not long drawn out ones tho lol)
Anyway I appreciate any suggestions
I've been craving some engaging anime relationships lately, and remember how disappointed I was in most anime romance, so I was looking for anime that have fun and engaging romance. Open to all genres, all artstyles, just lay it on me with your favourite anime romances. (Please, I beg of you, I cannot for the life of me find very good engaging romances)
I’m looking for a anime like Blue lock where there are high stakes, I’m not looking specifically for a sport anime, just an anime with high stakes that will keep me on my toes. I have already watched kakegurui.
It's been a while since i last watched an anime and actually enjoyed it, recently ....i've been trying to find something that isn't annoying or downright insufferable to watch. so please suggest something that'll help me with that. i'll list some things/ traits i enjoy and some that i don't like.
things i don't like:- immature, overly introvert, awkward emotional exaggeration. Overly sexualizing children and that includes "supposed to be 3000 years old witch" who obviously looks and behaves like a child, just another cast of high school kids. Not a fan full cast of kids in general but that's not a deal breaker if the writing is good.
Anime I've tried recently but did not like :-
Mushoku tensei -- It didn't stick with me even in the first few episodes but given how much everyone praises it..i gave it a fair shot. i saw 1st season and few episodes of S2 but i can't sit thru it anymore
dandadan :- 3 episodes....not my cup of tea
HxH :- 24 episodes....was recommended by one of my close friend. not hating on it but just.....can't get excited. I'm guessing it gets good later on but.....after seeing enough naruto and the skypiea arc in one piece.....i just don't wanna sit thru something i'm not enjoying to get to the good part
anime i did like :-
one punch man :- saitama is pretty much the perfect character in my eyes. i liked it so much i even started reading the manga 10/10
apothecary diaries :- surprisingly good
after the rain :- love it ( loving yamada lv999 was another good one)
promised neverland :- amazing
I'm okay with pretty much any genre as long as characters aren't insufferable. i guess i prefer more stoic characters now that i think about it.
i apologize for the long post. i tried to conveyed my preferences as clear as i possible
Just finished episode 17. I get it and am enjoying some moments … But somehow it doesn’t quite grab me and make me excited to watch the next episode yet. Something about the sometimes wacky tone, the story/stakes and how some of the bad guys give the feel of G.I. Joe villains. I don’t mean to disrespect… I know that for a lot of people, including one of my best anime buds, it’s some people’s all-time favorite. I’d like to be more excited about it - I guess I’m just looking for some encouragement to keep going and not to bail. Or maybe it’s just not the style that resonates with me. Who knows? Anyway starting Ep 18 … now …
Prefer finished manga, but unfinished is fine. Anime is also fine. Mainly looking for something with comedy.
Thanks in advance!
I just loved how it explored the characters' feelings and how lighthearted it was.
Title kinda says it all, I have a big exam coming up and extra motivation would be helpful. anime I have watched so far that has motivated me to study more is kaguya sama: love is war, because some of the main characters are academic weapons.
I'm open to any genre.
