Specs:
Have never had idle temps over 30-40C (going off of memory). This is at idle load.
Have tried opening up the case and cleaning up any dust I could find, but there was basically none, as the dust filters on the H9 Flow are S-tier (cleaned them all just in case).
Absolutely no idea why my idle temps are crazy high ... but it has me worried ... any assistance as to next steps would be much appreciated.
I recently upgraded from a GTX 1080 to an RX 7800 XT, but I’m facing an issue. About 15 minutes after starting my PC, the GPU fans ramp up to max speed, and the system shuts down. When I restart, I’m unable to reinstall the drivers until I reboot again. I’ve already used DDU multiple times to clean and reinstall the drivers, but the problem persists. Has anyone experienced something similar or know what might be causing this?
Is this a good combination? My motherboard can only support up to a i7-13700k
Is it even worth it to switch from a 7950x3d to a 9950x3d when it's released?
So I have just built this gaming pc on 17th and I'm having an issue that makes my gaming experience almost unplayable. So I wanted to play some cs2 but in the first round after like 30 seconds i started to have some stuttering. But it only happened when I moved my mouse,. It also happened at a specific point. So when I was spectating it wasnt happening at all. And it only started when I started to get close to the other teams spawn.
My specs are the following:
ryzen 5 5600x
rx 7700 xt
32 gb of 3600mhz ram 2 sticks tuf b550 plus motherboard
corsair rm 650 650w PSU
samsung 980 1 tb
I really want to solve this problem so any help is useful. I already tried to reinstall the driver but it didnt work. I also disabled fTPM in the bios but it did nothing. I am on win 11 btw
I also tried THE FINALS had the same issues as with cs2
So I just build my first amd pc. I’m not familiar with amd so I need help with
Pc spec Msi mpg b650 edge wifi 7800x3d Gigabyte 9700xt Vengeance Cl30 6000mhz ram 2TB nvme ssd 1000w psu
any 5600xt users that find a fix to this issue??
i bought one refurbed for a cheap price, was working fine for 1 day.
and the green screen of death kept happening
don't belive the card is faulty . more like amd drivers being trash
installed drivers only it didnt work
Title. (More pics in comments) The qr code to the amd website says it’s legit and the serial numbers matchup, but I dont know much more about the matter. Thanks for any help!
Title. I just finished setting up my pc 4 days ago and it's working completely fine, except for the fact that I started to notice some microstuttering when I cap the frame rate (chill OR rivatuner). It's not that bad intensity wise (stutters for fractions of a second) but are starting to get pretty frequent so I'm really annoyed. I'll link a video of an example of the problem in Warframe: the game runs smoothly majority of the time, at and average of 270 fps at max settings, but with some really bad frametimes randomly, both uncapped and capped at 120 FPS. Occurs in every other game except The Witcher 3 for some reason. Yesterday I've gone through a rabbit hole looking for a solution, some changes seem to have helped a bit, but the problem still persists. Here is my full hardware and the list of tweaks:
Windows 11 Home
Asrock B650M PG Riptide
Ryzen 5 7500F
Radeon 7900 GRE
2x16gb 6000Mhz Kingston RAM
850W PSU (80+ gold)
Tweaks: BIOS up to date (no change), Reinstalled drivers and deleted Adrenaline (actually helped a little bit), GamebarPresenceWriter renamed (no change), ULPS off (no change), CPU and GPU overclock/undervolt (better performance but stuttering remains), XMP profile on/off/stock settings (no change), MPO disabled (no change) Freesync ON/OFF (no change), Windows Optimization (no change)

Anyone got a solution? I'm pretty upset , don't feel that I should be experiencing these types of problems w/ a considerably expensive piece of hardware (especially in my country lol)
Hey yall you may have seen me making posts trying to fix my unstable 7800xt. So I think I found my solution in where I just cap the max frequency to 90%. I guess I am fine with this but couple questions. How much performance, if any am I losing?
Should I still return the card or is this just what this gpu is (Asrock Challenger 2 Fan 7800xt, cannot run without gpu crashes on default settings.)
Is this a normal 7800xt experience?
Thanks yall.
Which of the following specs is most optimal 64GB RAM kit for a creator requiring 1:1?

Normally I have basically 0 issues with amd and its drivers unless it's user error. However with this month's driver update, I have no problems running any games, even with some gpu tweaks. My big issue is with adrenaline, it takes sometimes over a minute to open, and on top of that, it is constantly freezing on me and I have to use task manager to close it, just it to take forever to open just to freeze eventually again. Over the past few days since I updated it has froze on me MINIMUM 5+ times a day. I go to click on it, it freezes, I open up a game, it freezes, I look at it on my taskbar the wrong way, it freezes.
This is just such a weird issue, but I'm making this post as a way of hopefully getting this seen by amd's driver team, and also to ask if anyone else here is having this issue of adrenaline being unkind on these new drivers.
Hello!
Rtx4080s
What should I do after changing to gaming bios on gpu card. System is not running after swiching. Silent mode is okay. Should i install some drivers?
It turns out that the WD Black SN770 2TB had a problem with Windows 11 24H2 related to firmware, which was partly presenting itself as issues similar to dodgy RAM. I've updated to the latest WD firmware, so fingers crossed that has fixed it. Put the old RAM back in and so far so good!
Around the time of the BSOD I had the following in Event Viewer which also supports this theory:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort1
Hello,
I've recently been having a few stability issues with my PC - I thought I'd fixed it by changing the RAM, but after having another BSOD, I'm not that convinced that the RAM was the main cause. Before I go aimlessly changing components or buying a new platform, I wanted to ask for help first.
The original build was in early 2019, but I upgraded the GPU in 2021, and then the CPU, SSD and RAM in 2022.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Description of Original Problem: I seem to occasionally get random blue screens of death, mainly either when the system is idle or if there is a spike in load. The system was near-unusable until I swapped the RAM, making me think the RAM was defective, but I have since had a BSOD with the new RAM (when trying to open the Windows Photos application). The BSODs are unreadable on my monitor so I can't see the code, and no data is saved in Event Viewer.
Troubleshooting:
Hi guys, really hoping you can help me. brand new XFX 7900 XTX here (7800x3d also) and I've been playing Path of Exile 2. The game plays fantastically, absolutely zero issues. But when I tab out to do trades and stuff, all my other apps like Chrome and Discord get these freezes every 10-30 seconds where i'm scrolling and half the page gets frozen while the other half keeps scrolling, then after 5 seconds it all reverts to normal. I found it weird that this isn't just chrome and also happens to discord/any other app. I also found it strange that it doesn't seem to happen when I close PoE2. I wondered if it's something regarding my GPU's settings. I'm a complete novice with the voltage & over/underclocking stuff and just leave everything at factory settings, so I haven't tried changing that yet & would need some guidance on it. Basically while tabbed out of my game everything's crazy slow and freezing all the time. My ryzen 5 3600 and DDR4 Ram felt 3 times as responsive at desktop things as this so something's gotta be wrong
Any idea what I could do to fix this? Could this be related to Vsync or Free sync? Currently have Adrenalin software uninstalled so I wondered if I lost Free sync.

Description of Original Problem: PC would crash and upon rebooting my white VGA LED on the motherboard would light up. Using the iGPU I'm able to diagnose the problem and notice that my Sapphire 7900 XTX is no longer being recognized under Device Manager. Rebooting PC doesn't fix the problem as the GPU is no longer discoverable within Windows.
Troubleshooting: Only way I'm able to remedy the problem is removing the GPU and reslotting into the motherboard. Unplugging power cables and reseating. DDU drivers and clean install. This doesn’t work everytime but after a couple cycles it usually picks back up in device manager.
Had this happen again last night have a 4hr long session playing Cyberpunk. Card was running fun. Closed the game to desktop and the PC immediately shutdown. Restarting the PC the card is no longer in device manager.
I’ve started an RMA with Sapphire, but could this be an issue somewhere else and not GPU hardware related?
I opened to check, the stains are on the chip itself
Hi everyone,
I’m using an XFX RX 5600 XT THICC III ULTRA 6GB, and I’ve been having a frustrating issue. Most of the time, everything works fine, but in some games, I experience very low FPS in the main menus or during the first 5-10 minutes of gameplay. The performance gradually improves over time, but it’s quite annoying when it happens.
I also noticed that my CPU usage seems higher than I expected (I’m not an expert, but it looks off to me). Could this be related? I’d love to know if anyone has experienced something similar or has suggestions to fix it.
System Specs:
As I mentioned, this issue only happens in a few games. Most games run smoothly, but one of the problematic games is Overwatch 2. Here are some in-game screenshots showing the issue:
Running a B650-E TUF and 7800 X3D. After putting together the system everything ran fine, but I was getting a bit of coil whine or some other noise.
I read that Precision Boost Overdrive or Core Performance Boosting, for overclocking, could be a possible culprit. I disabled these settings on BIOS and now my computer is unable to open applications.
The system will boot, and I can get to desktop, but nothing opens when clicked, not even Windows Security Settings with ctrl+alt+delete.
I changed the settings back manually, tried resetting the BIOS to default settings, and restarting the computer, but I have been unable to resolve the issue.
I've had 32gb of ddr4 ram (4-dimms each 8 gb 3600mhz) but i realized that they were running at 3200mhz. I tried playing with xmp but i'm not really experienced with anything to do with overclocking. I was wondering if there's a fix to this cause i would love to run my memory at full speed, for more information i'm also running a ryzen 7 5700g ( i know its not great for dedicated gpu but it was cheap at the time) anda RX 6600 all running on a Tuff b550 plus mother board.
The r7 9800x3d it will be at a « good » price in how long do you have an idea? Because currently in France, it is impossible to find it below €600/650
Mom looking to buy a cpu for my little brother, but where she is buying from doesn’t have an x3d available.
Currently between the 7900x, 9900x, and 9950x.
Goal is to output as much FPS as possible.
I'm experiencing an issue with my AMD Adrenalin software, and I could really use some help. The software itself is not fully crashing, but it fails to open or becomes unresponsive until I manually stop RadeonSoftware.exe and AMDRSServ.exe in Task Manager. After doing so, the software restarts, but the problem continues to happen.
I've already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
Stopping all unnecessary programs running in background
Running the software as admin
Reinstalling AMD drivers multiple times
Reinstalling Windows
However, the issue persists. Just to clarify, no graphics driver crashes are happening — it's only the software itself that's not responding, which is really frustrating since I want to use FMF for some single-player games.
For reference, I have a PowerColor 7900 GRE GPU.
Rest specs : B550 Aorus Elite, Ryzen 7 5800x, 32GB ram
Has anyone faced a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone, my PC is running into some frustrating issues. Games are freezing a few seconds after launching, and Helldivers 2 barely runs (4 FPS if it even loads). I’ve tried everything I can think of but haven’t made any progress. This all started when I was playing Helldivers 2, the game kept crashing during mission start. I closed the game and updated my drivers now any game I open (Fortnite, COD, Marvel Rivals) all freeze and close after launch.
Here’s my build: • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D • GPU: XFX Speedster MERC319 RX 7800 XT • RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 (32GB) • Storage: Samsung 990 EVO 1TB SSD (brand new) • Motherboard: Gigabyte Ultra Durable X670 Gaming X • PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-1000, 1000W, 80+ Gold • Cooling: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE Steps I’ve tried so far: • Updated to the latest AMD drivers. • Used DDU to do a clean install of the GPU drivers. • Factory reset AMD Adrenalin settings. • Verified game files in Steam. • Ran SFC and DISM to check for corrupted Windows files. • Monitored temps—everything is cool (CPU: ~38°C, GPU: ~35°C).
Still, the same issues persist. Would resetting Windows help, or is there something else I can try? Any advice is much appreciated!
Switching to am5 from am4,what are some good motherboard suggestions?been hearing bad things about asus mobos and to avoid them.

Background Applications: DISCORD, CHROME
Description of Original Problem: Sometimes, my chrome (or any browser) or discord tear both vertically and horizontally. Like it can't load and display stuffs on screen for me. For example: when I open a new tab on chrome, some parts of the screen stuck and display the old tab, some part left displaying the right one (recent one) like it's tearing apart and not belong to eachother. But during the glitch happening, the only way to fix it is ALT + TAB out and back in the app then it will get back to normal. I don't think it's hardware issues since my stuffs are pretty new. Bonus: I just recently restarted windows.
Troubleshooting: I have no idea what to do yet...
Those should look like this (I edited):
Which brand is better? I know ASRock has been great with mobos over the last few years, but haven't heard anything about their GPUs. The ASRock is about $55 cheaper than the XFX.
