I never touched this in the settings and every time I set back to default it just goes back to OC
Hello,
For about 6 months, I’ve had the issue of very low FPS and severe FPS drops in Fortnite. Sometimes, I'm only playing at 20 FPS, and on average, around 60 FPS. My PC has an AMD Radeon 6750 XT and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and about a year ago, I was getting a solid 400 FPS in Fortnite. Now, I’m not even reaching 70 FPS. I've tried everything I could think of: all the "fix FPS problems in Fortnite" solutions, watched tons of YouTube videos, and optimized settings in BIOS and AMD settings, but nothing has helped. To be honest, I’m at a loss, and I don’t know anyone who’s extremely knowledgeable about this stuff. Or is my PC really that bad that I can only get 40 FPS? Even though it still costs around 1.3k
I have ryzen 7 8700f cpu and I want to buy biostar 650MP-E Pro Micro Atx Am5 Motherboard does anyone know if this specific Motherboard would be compatible with my cpu
I swapped CPUs and now my PC won't turn on. I changed PSU and cleared CMOS but it still won't power on. When I plug in the power cord I see the fan lights turn on for a second but no power to the PC. I'm thinking that the Motherboard is faulty.
I have this combo, a CPU 5700X3D and a GPU RX7600, and I play at 1080p, as I understand at that resolution this combo is more than enough to play in ultra +60fps in general.
But I have noticed that in certain games what are the particles look weird, like fuzzy, dirty, it is not something solid, and it is not a transparency effect that looks good, for example, in the game Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is where I have noticed more problems:
There is a flickering sensation, it's like a black bar that occupies 5% of the monitor that goes from bottom to top of the screen, when it reaches the top it comes back and starts. It happens only when I don't move the character, even if there are other elements moving on screen. (About this point I think I have found the cause, and is that I have to activate the vertical synchronization, with that gives the feeling that the flicker disappears [but with v-sync activated it is not possible to play +60fps at that quality for example]).
Sometimes there are some jumps that cause fps drops, the screen stays still for a microsecond and then moves again. Either when turning the camera or when moving around the world.
Particle textures, especially sand and rain, look weird, and this is not only something with sand, but sometimes with things in the distance, or hair, it looks like grainy.
It's something weird because in other games I have not even had to activate v-sync and it looks spectacular, but I've seen videos on Youtube of this game on PC and the particles do not look like that. I have 32 gb of ram and a monitor of 24" not gaming that goes to 75 hz compatible with FreeSync, and otherwise I usually leave the configuration that puts AMD Raden in “Quality” (I tried play with this configurations but, nothing).
But those sudden jumps and micro freezes, my understanding is that this graphics and CPU can handle it, there should be no such micro freezes.
It's possible that is the monitor who is causing all of this?, Because I considered it, but that doesn't have anything related with the micro freezes. I think.
I'm a new AMD builder and struggled a bit with drivers on my new build. Had to go through a bunch of drivers to get Bluetooth and WiFi working. The graphics card driver crashed and I had to reinstall. Everything is working now, but I'm paranoid.
I see Adrenaline says everything is up to date, but it was saying everything was fine before too so I'm left here not trusting my build.

Well, recently Ive bought a Sapphire RX 580 8gb and, as I said before, sometimes works as I turn my computer on and sometimes neither of its fans are running and also there is no video signal, so it is completely turned off. My doubt here is why does it happen? And my specs are: 850w PSU, Asus A520 m-k, Ryzen 5 5600g and 32gb Ram. Could someone please help me? And has anyone ever experienced the same issue?
I ordered a tray cpu ryzen 9 9950x and saw a slight damage on pcb as shown in pics is it damaged ? What to do ?
After reverting back driver versions earlier this month since CS2 stopped working with the new driver update, every few days AMD installs version 24.10.27.01 with no option to update it further (as seen in picture). This is annoying because it happens whilst I am using my PC, and there is no option for radeon relive anymore so I cant clip anything. I have turned on "prevent downloads of drivers from windows update" with DDU but it still keeps happening after reinstalling the old update. Is there a way to stop this? thanks
I'm having difficulties reproducing the results for MSFS 2020 found in these videos:
https://youtu.be/dC85ZG2NguQ?si=gN-H-tST4DdMZThv
https://youtu.be/0bHqVFjzdS8?si=en4gxC3YaNINdUIY
Both of these examples are showing at least 80fps over New York but I'm struggling to maintain over 60fps.
System Specs: Gigabyte X670 Gaming AX, 9800X3D, 4090, 64gb ram 6000Mhz Expo enabled
I did a BIOS update for the X670 motherboard. I've installed the motherboard chipset drivers, the chipset drivers from AMD specifically for the X670, updated drivers from Nvidia, and a repair install of Windows 11 (so I didn't have to reinstall all my files). Using the Ultra preset, DLSS Quality at 1080p to match their settings in the examples above. I'm coming from a 7800X3D so I'm using the same motherboard. Using MSI afterburner, then Nvidia Overlay, and finally Steam FPS overlay just to confirm the results.
What am I missing? I feel like there is something crucial that's keeping this from achieving its potential. I've researched every possible solution and have come to a deadend. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Description of Original Problem: I've noticed that the AMD External Events Client Module makes my cpu idle at 15C higher when it runs in the background. Hitting end task on it causes my cpu temp to drop from anywhere between 65-70C to a low 48-51C (roughly -15C). From what I've been able to find from older threads, it deals with free-sync, and turning it off disables free-sync. Is this still the case? I'm wondering if it's okay to end task on it?
Troubleshooting: I've tried hitting "end task" on it whenever I boot my PC and it seems to resolve the problem, but it's not a permanent fix as I'm not sure if it starts back up in the background or not later on.
Howdy everyone,
I’ve tried multiple settings for my ram speed to go above 3600mhz with xmp and everytime I would need to reset the cmos battery on the motherboard to get it to boot. It is completely stable at 3600mhz but if I shoot higher I can’t get it to boot. Does anyone have some concrete recommendations before I give it another whirl?

These are my specs and before you ask why I have so much RAM, I got this whole PC on craigslist for $1000.
I'm getting this weird single frame artifact in space marines2 that happens randomly
Is it. Sign of my gpu dying or is it a game / driver issue?
Hey, just upgraded to this rig from r5 3600 + gtx 1080 and it feels awesome overall. It literally crushes everything I throw at it. However, Im having 2 small but annoying issues:
1- My usb connected devices (mice, keyboard and headphones) somewhat loses power randomly, they are usually not turning off but lagging and only rarely turns off. Really annoying but I have no idea why.
2- When playing gta 5 screen glitches randomly for a few miliseconds when a notification or something pops up, or a blue reversed image of the screen shows up again but usually for a few miliseconds rarely stays on the screen. Also, it lags very hard sometimes even far worse than my old rig.
I would be really thankful if anyone knows what may cause these issues.

Can I run RADEON 7900XTX with Ryzen 7 7800x3d, 32GB DDR 5, MSI MPG B650 Edge Wifi Vengeance and power supply with 850w?
At the moment I have a RTX 3060TI and i want to upgrade.
I am contemplating whether I should get a RX 7800XT or a 7900 GRE.
In regards to futureproofing, would it be a better choice to spend €100 more to get a 7900 GRE or save it and get the 7800 instead?
The 7800XT will cost me €500 and the 7900 GRE between €585 and €600.
So as the title says, I’m rocking an old AMD R9 390x graphics card. AMD hasn’t made updated drivers for this card in years and I’m planning on upgrading to a whole new PC soon. In the meantime, I’m trying to run CS2 which doesn’t run great on these old drivers. I’ve seen some stuff online about NimeZ third party drivers but not sure what version to use or how to install it. If anyone could provide advice on what to install / which would be best, I’d appreciate it. Thank you!
Hey everyone,
So I recently upgraded to an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT Challenger 16GB OC, and since then, I’ve been experiencing random PC crashes during gaming. This has been happening for the last two weeks or so, especially when I'm playing at max settings on my 1440p monitor with a capped frame rate (usually either 60 or 120 Hz depending on the game).
Most of my gaming is single-player, story-driven titles, but I also hop into multiplayer FPS games occasionally. I like to run everything at the highest settings for 1440p, or at least as high as my system can handle smoothly. Lately Ive been playing Black Myth Wukong. The maximum time I can play this is at an hour before it completely restarts my PC. Before this has been happening with Red dead redemption 2 but now the system crashes has completely went away after I changed the unit with a new one ( changed the GPU to the same model and manufacturer) Cyberpunk2077 is running very smoothly and I havent experienced any crashes from this game. It's a hit or miss kind of problem for the games i Play and its really frustrating to pinpoint the exact problem.
For some background:
- I upgraded from an NVIDIA RTX 2070.
- Completely reinstalled Windows 10 and used DDU to remove any old drivers.
- Installed the latest AMD drivers and Adrenaline software.
- Running a dual-monitor setup: my primary is a 1440p 27” at 180 Hz, and the secondary is a 1080p 28” at 165 Hz.
My Specs are:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5700X
Graphics Card: ASRock Steel Legend RX 7800 XT
Power Supply Unit (PSU): MSI MAG A850GL PCIe 5
Motherboard: MSI B450 A PRO MAX
RAM: 4 x 8GB G.Skill Trident Z (32GB total), 3200MHz
Storage:
1TB M.2 SSD (Kingston)
250GB NVMe SSD (Samsung)
1TB HDD (SeaGate)
2TB External HDD (SeaGate)
Cooling:
Case: DarkFlash DS900
6 x 120mm Rakk Maris Astro fans
2 x 140mm Arctic Pro fans
CPU Air Cooler: ID-Cooling FROZN A410
Display Setup
Primary Monitor: 1440p resolution via DisplayPort @ 180hz
Secondary Monitor: 1080p resolution via DisplayPort @ 165hz
I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps but can’t seem to pin down what’s causing the issue. Has anyone else run into something similar with the RX 7800 XT or have any advice on further steps I could try?
I’ve upgraded my gf’s pc to ryzen 5 3600 and rx580 (we be broke xddd) I bought biostar b550MT MB and just for cpu check I ran valorant. Few minutes into the game stock cooler sounded like a jet engine and pc crashed. I tripled checked cooler mounting, disabled PBO, but I noticed in bios that on idle, cpu ran at around 1.4V which I don’t think is normal and temp is arpund 55-60 I have never used amd before so I’m kinda worried about the voltage
Hey guys, I had previously on my pc a Ryzen 5 3600 with RX 5700 XT. I just upgraded my motherboard and the CPU to Ryzen 7 5700X3D, everything else remained the same.
Now the thing is that the RX 5700 XT with my old build had an idle temperature of 39-42 degrees maybe while watching youtube. With my new build the GPU reaches 49-52 degrees in idle and even 62-70 while playing CS2, compared to my old build on CS2 I had only 52 degrees. The new CPU 5700X3D has low temperatures at around 36-39 degrees at idle so its not an issue.
A friend told me the gpu temp might be affected of a gpu bottleneck caus my old build had a weak cpu and now with the new cpu my GPU can reach its full potential.
Do you guys have any other opinions on why i have higher temp on the same GPU but with different CPU?
I'm putting together a handful of systems for my kids and one of the machines is a HP with B350 mobo running Pinacle1.0.0, even though it's the latest version (august 2022 I think) with a 2200G.
I've got a spare 5600G and 5600x, is there any way to push the newer agesa microcode into the older bios?
If I can't update the bios the max currently supported chip is a 2700x PRO. Does it have to be the PRO version or can I grab any version?
This is a very important query, the kids get sad if their Roblox doesn't run at a steady 60fps.
Ta.

Swapped from a R7 7700x to a R9 7950X and now I hear a buzzing noise when the CPU is under load. Could this be a VRM issue or any ideas?
the u300 chip 1-3pin is shorted togeter
my gpu will black screen when I try to game on it, sometimes static screen, also when I switch the bios to the normal mode, the device manager shows code 43 so I cannot install a driver,
is this a repair trace? the 3 pin are connected together, what will happen if I separate the 3 pins?
Edit :- 7900x cost $20-25 dollar
Beforehand, my rx6600 would idle at around 2-4 W. For some reason a few weeks ago, I noticed it idling at around 20W. Now I've found the reason for it.
I've created several custom resolutions from the AMD adrenaline software (126Hz, 127Hz, 128Hz, 129Hz, 130Hz), all at 1080p. When I'm using a refresh rate 128Hz or below, my pc would draw 4W. However, the moment I swap to 129Hz or anything higher, like 144Hz which is my monitor refresh rate, the power draw spikes to 19-20W. I've updated my drivers, updated my windows, so not sure why this is happening. My friends said its something to do with freesync being on, but I've always kept it on beforehand when the 6600 was acting normally.
I'm not a professional at computers, but I also notice the VRAM jumping from around 0-50MHz to 1740MHz after upping the refresh rate. Maybe this has something to do with it?
Does anyone know how to fix this, so that I can continue using 144Hz, but at the normal 4W?
