It's official. As my finger was pressing purchase for that gpu and rm1000x, my soul sinked straight to the bottom of the barrel. It's done, the 1080 ti has to be retired ❤️ Next year I will upgrade the rest of the system. Currently running asus rog strix x570-f gaming, mere 16gb of g.skill trident Z which I will sell and replace with 32gb of a cheaper 3600mhz ddr4 asap, I'm running ryzen 7 3700x. Evo 980 pro x2 and anither random ssd for porn. I think it will work for now 🎉
i'm a bit curious as to what kind of temperatures people are getting with this card? it's been some time since i've been on an air-cooled graphics card again after being with aio cooled cards for a while and i was wondering if my temperatures are normal. i have a taichi air-cooled 7900 xtx and my junction temperature is getting to 110 c when i do productivity tasks such as ai or rendering. playing games sometimes gets near that temperature as well but not often. as for my cpu, i have a dark rock pro 5 on my 5950x and the case it's in is a lian li air mini with seven fans in it. i saw a thread here of some people talking about their temperatures with a 7900xt but i was wondering how comparable to the xtx that is. some say they get around 95 c and i'm getting 110.
looking to upgrade from my msi gtx 1070 to a xfx rx 7900 gre.no where on the manufactuers site does it mention the fan bearing type.just wondering if they use double ball bearings like they do for their other cards.
The psu I bought had missing cables but didn't worry about because the necessary cables I got were enough for my 3070. Fast forward I upgraded, just bought a 7900xtx. Here's where rhe problem arises, I have only 2 pcie pig tail cables that are 6+2. I provided a picture to clear any confusion but I only have two one that's currently connected in the pc and the one in the picture. Will having just two cables connected to 3 8 pins on the gpu cause any issues?
Edit: forgot post picture damn...
Someone posted this earlier, but did not see it till after it was sold out. I feel like over Black Friday or Christmas it will come done some.
Long story short, I took my Sapphire Nitro 7900 XTX back because it was crashing a lot and bought a PS5 Pro and an Xbox Series X Galaxy Edition. I was so spoiled playing everything at 4K 120hz that going back to consoles leaves more to be desired. The PS5 Pro as it stands right now isn't even better than the base model and Phil Spencer decided to show up on Bloomberg today to let everyone know that there will no longer be any "redlining" when it comes to future Xbox exclusives, meaning they will now appear on the PS5, so what's the point of owning an Xbox anyway? So now I'm going to return them both and buy another GPU.
Here's the kicker, there are ZERO Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTXs in my state, but there is the Taichi. Is this a good card or should I just stick with a Sapphire or another brand?
I am undecided on which to keep and budget is not a issue. Any thoughts?I am new to pc building and want a good gpu for the foresable future? I do not really care for dlss and rt, but I saw I can get a refurbished gigabyte windforce v24080 super for $899 at newegg or keep a new sapphire pulse 7900xtx for $849 from amazon?
Looking to upgrade my gpu I have a rx 6600. I was wondering what would be a good option to get. I was looking at the 7600xt bad I been seeing bad reviews on it. I see ppl say get the 6750xt but it’s 12gb vram and the 7600xt is 16gb. My budget is $300 - $350 I’m going to wait til Black Friday to see if I can grab something maybe better than both at a good price. Any other gpu’s I should consider AMD preferred
since we speculate thats its coming out early next year, plus with the upcoming tariffs and already obnoxious msrp on release for these things, would it even be worth it to wait or just get the 7700xt on black friday? for context, i dont have any pc or gaming rig. so far, the cpu is coming in but thats it. and, of all things, should i even buy the gpu on black Friday or some of the other parts?
So, STALKER 2 wil be releasing on Nov 20th, and NVIDIA already has released a Game Ready driver for it, but AMD has not yet.
Does AMD usually release Game Ready drivers, or anticipate themselves to release a driver that supports a new anticipated game?
I'm here to tell you this. If your are going to drop a 7800 or 7900 class GPU in your aging AM4 build? It will handle it. Even at 4k. PLEASE get a modern 1000w PSU. You'll also be able to use your new PSU when you, and if, you decided to go AM5. Trust me here.
Title says it all, I've recently gotten into Ultrawide 1440p. Very recently I've decided to finally upgrade my whole setup and the last thing really is the GPU. Currently running a 5600x3d with a 2070 Founders, I've been seeing a lot of discussions debating yes or no between differences between which model wether it be a 6xxx or 7xxx. I'd like to finally make the switch but if I could get something that'd make sense or be economically smart.
I recently upgraded to a 750W PSU and I am interested in upgrading to the 8800XT when released, will this be enough or should I exchange for a 850W PSU?
Hey guys,
So I was considering buying a 7800xt during the Black Friday sales but while looking I saw the 6800xt on sale for $369.99. Compared to the 7800xt which would be $489.99. I saw some other posts saying that I should just go for the 7800xt as it’s newer despite the performance being just slightly better.
If I were to go for a 6800xt, I was planning on getting a CPU upgrade as I’m running a Ryzen 7 3700x. I know I might be bottlenecking either GPUs with the 3700x despite some other posts saying that it’s fine. I’m not 100% sure what CPU I’m gonna go for, I’m considering the 5700x3d but I’m still looking. (Looking for some suggestions)
I have a 1440p monitor, and while I would like a game to look nice. I would prefer frames over visual quality. Some games I plan on playing were Apex, Monhun Wilds, Modded Minecraft, and other single player games.
Only one left but not sure if I should do it. Any thoughts before I decide by the end of the day?
Hello guys, a couple weeks ago I replaced my GeForce GTX 1050 with an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT which was a significant upgrade. At the time I had an 550w psu (I wasn't planning to overclock so I figured it would be ok). After using ddu to remove all Nvidia drivers I hooked up the new gpu and downloaded the drivers from the site. Right away I would start to lose HDMI signal when playing some games (mirror's edge, lies of p) on high graphics which i should be able to run easily. I can't even play ff7 for more then 10 seconds. This even happens when doing a stress test with adrenalin which is what you see in the video. Unfortunately upgrading to a 650w psu didn't solve the problem so I am a little lost right now. Although turning down the graphics resolves the issue, that kinda defeats the purpose of getting a new gpu so hopefully someone here can help me. Thank you in advance an if you have any questions pls tell me! Thank you!
I have a problem with my new gigabyte RX 7600 XT. When the fans turn on they are blowing at full fan speed.
I have installed the latest AMD drivers. In gigabyte control center the curve is 100% at 80 degrees, but the temp is nowhere near that point (see end of video). I even reinstalled the amd driver again.
Anybody knows this kind of problem and now how to fix it?
OS: windows 11
CPU: AMD 7600
Mem: 32 GB
I can’t say it’s a amd issue but I heard more people have issues with the game than nvidia gpus, with that being said I have a 7800xt paired with a 7600x and 32 gb of ram I can play cod and most games at max settings 1440 p no issues but with Fortnite I have to run it in medium to clear 100 fps, also when I start matches I drop under 10 fps, note drivers are up to date and it is only Fortnite as cod I get 160 fps max settings
What would have more fps and better feel in competitive settings 1080p black ops 6 a pc with i7 7700k and rx 6900 xt or a pc with ryzen 7 5700x3d and gtx 1080 ti?
How's it going Team Red?
Yesterday I upgraded to a sapphire pulse 7900xt and have been obsessed about weather it performs up to the level it supposed to. I ran a 3dmark test and had the following results:
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/120437507
Was wondering if everything looks normal there? Since my overall score is below average. I run it as well as the cpu at stock settings.
Any input is welcome and thank you in advance for talking the time to help me.
Running a 7600xt and a 5600x. Haven’t had issues since building first pc until I ran BO6, just curious because this only happens in the movie scenes, during gameplay it’s working perfectly fine. Would just like to know what this is called and how to fix it, thanks in advance
I just downloaded EA FC 25 today and i'm maxing out 47 fps. I tried messing around with the amd settings but nothings working. I downloaded the drivers today thru the amd app aswll. wat do i do mannn, btw - im not that well versed with pcs
