Abiding by the first two is standard no matter where you post on this site, but in this community there is an expectation of practicing good reddiquette when you can. This includes your comments, submissions, and any other communication or activity on this subreddit. Also do not post NSFW content or illegal content.
Posts must discuss a topic. Put in the effort to write at least a few sentences talking about it. You can't just bring something up for others to discuss without discussing the topic first yourself. The exception is when you share content which is worthwhile in its own right, such as news, or art.
Examples which are NOT allowed, without additional discussion:
If you have a question which is asking for some information, instead of starting a discussion about a topic, don't post it here. Instead, please ask in the "Q&A and Ruling Megathread". It's the post pinned at the top of /r/Yugioh. We also have /r/Yugioh101. It is a subreddit for helping new and returning players. If you are a new player asking for advice, we recommend you post there instead.
You cannot ask about what items are worth. You cannot ask if cards are worth grading, or what grade they would get. You cannot buy, sell, or trade. It is okay to discuss the economy of the game. You can discuss price trends, etc. For checking prices, use sites like TCGplayer, Cardmarket, or ebay. For niche items, you might not be able to find prices on these sites, but we still don't allow posts for asking about them. For buying, selling, or trading, use /r/YGOMarketplace.
When posting your Deck List, you must make sure all card names are comfortably readable. We recommend using a site like YGOPRODECK to share the Deck List. You can use a screenshot of your Deck, but the image resolution must be good enough that the card names can be read. You cannot rely on people recognizing the cards from the images alone. Your post's title must make it clear which deck you're playing.
If you're posting your own art, your post much say that it's yours. For example: "Kaiba artwork I made". If you're posting someone else's art, or news, your post must include a link to the source. Make sure that any information you post is correct. Make sure that it is not presented in a misleading way.
90% of your activity on this subreddit must be unrelated to advertising your content. For example, if you want to post one of your YouTube videos, you should participate in the comments of other posts first. Engage in genuine discussions with people. If you think you have something important to advertise, message the mods first to ask if we can make exception.
The exact phrasing you use in card text is important. Look at recent cards with similar effects to yours. Read these to learn how card text is written: Problem Solving Card Text and Lantern's Custom Card Guide. Your title must make it clear that this is not a real card. Include a link to the source for artwork used.
Do not make posts which are just for showing off pictures of cards, or other items like boxes, packs, or action figures. Please use /r/YugiohShowcase instead.
We don't allow memes. You can post in /r/YugiohMemes instead.
We don't allow multiple posts about the same topic within a short space of time. If there has recently been another post about the same topic, you should comment in that one instead of making a new post.

You ever just think about how much money Konami could make if they sold gunpla kits of Zues, Utopia, any of the 1000 mechas monsters we have in the game by now. Also for people who don’t know what gunpla are, they are figure kits where you put together; it can be difficult but also very fun. What monster would you want a gunpla for?
Hey guys so I got bored and decided to try and make some effects for the original elemental heroes to see what retrains could look like. Here's what I came up with. They all have effects to search the normal polymerization because the deck is so heavily fusion based, and I made the effects the fusion monsters get based on the cards affiliated with the normal monsters ex. Spark blaster burst return clay charge
Elemental hero assault avian Lv3 1000 atk 1000 def Warrior wind effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero avian) If this card is normal or special summoned, add 1 polymerization normal spell from your deck or graveyard to your hand. If this card is used as fusion material the fusion monster gains the following effect: This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each The effects of this card can only be used once per turn
Elemental hero jolt Sparkman Level 4 1600 atk 1400 def Warrior light effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero Sparkman) If this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 polymerization from your deck or graveyard to your hand. A fusion monster that uses this card as material gains this effect: Up to twice per turn, you can target a monster your opponent controls and change its battle position. The effects of this card can only be used once per turn
Elemental hero rock hard clay man Level 4 800 atk 2000 def Warrior earth effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero clayman) If this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 polymerization from your deck or graveyard to your hand. A fusion monster that uses this card as material gains this effect: once per turn if this card is targeted for an attack you can destroy the attacking monster and then deal 800 points of damage to your opponents life points The effects of this card can only be used once per turn
Elemental hero blazing berstinatrix Level 3 1200 atk 800 def Warrior fire effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero berstinatrix) If this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 polymerization from your deck or graveyard to your hand. A fusion monster that uses this card as material gains this effect: when this card is successfully fusion summoned, return all spell and trap cards on the field to the hand(s).The effects of this card can only be used once per turn
Elemental hero hydro bubble man Level 4 800 atk 1200 def Warrior water effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero bubbleman) If this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 polymerization from your deck or graveyard to your hand. A fusion monster that uses this card as material gains this effect: When this card is successfully fusion summoned, you can banish 2 hero cards from your hand/gy draw two cards you cannot special summon for the rest of the turn except for elemental hero monsters The effects of this card can only be used once per turn
Elemental hero necroshadow Level 5 1600 atk 1800 def Warrior dark effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero necroshadow) If you control an elemental hero monster you can special summon this card from your hand. If this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 polymerization from your deck or graveyard to your hand. A fusion monster that uses this card as material gains this effect: If this card is fusion summoned add 1 elemental hero monster from your deck to your hand you cannot special summon for the rest of the turn except elemental hero monsters. The effects of this card can only be used once per turn
Elemental hero sharpest blade edge Level 7 2600 atk 1800 def Warrior earth effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero bladedge) If you control an elemental hero fusion monster you can special summon this card from your hand. If this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 polymerization from your deck or graveyard to your hand. A fusion monster that uses this card as material gains this effect: if this card attacks a defense position monster it can deal piercing damage to your opponent The effects of this card can only be used once per turn
Elemental her pure wild heart Level 4 1500 atk 1600 def Earth warrior effect monster (This cards name is always treated as elemental hero wild heart) If this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 polymerization from your deck or graveyard to your hand. A fusion monster that uses this card as material gains this effect: once per turn, When your opponent activates a spell/trap card that targets this card negate that effect and destroy that card The effects of this card can only be used once per turn

Here are examples of questions which belong in the comments of this thread:

It really is as the title says. What would be considered the strongest “pure” deck? For example, Tearlaments with the Ishizu cards was an absolutely disgusting deck, Danger! and Darkworlds go hand in hand of course, but what deck would be considered the strongest if one only looked at its archetype? No mixing, no generic/outside support, just on its own?
Addendum: If a deck cannot function without an outside card (ie: HEROs without Polymerization), then those are allowed. But that doesn’t allow things like Fusion Deployment or something like that.
So, I was dicking around in EdoPro in came across Xyz monsters that can use lower ranked monsters for their materials. So far, in terms of a clean build up one from the other, I have the following:
* Make Utopia
* Utopia into Utopia Ray
* Utopia Ray into Utopia the Lightning
* Utopia the Lightning into Full Armored Dark Lancer
Now here's the thing, that only gets me from Rank 4 to 7. But there's also the *tiniest* bridge to get over here to effectively make Utopia a one-card combo into a mega-materialed Xyz.
Because if FADL can be used as material for a Rank 8, 9, or 10 DARK, you get Number 84: Pain Gainer, which can then immediately be overlayed into Number 77: The Seven Sins.
This is a stupid thing to be doing, I know, but the Yu-Gi-Oh community could make cold fusion work if it was amusing, so I figured I'd ask.
I'm looking for a deck that focuses on creating link monsters and then playing off their link arrows for additional pendulum summons.
I've tried a few, but none that really click with me:
Since me and my friends are all YuGiOh nerds, I made custom cards for my best man (brother) and my groomsmen for my wedding. The cards are printed on steel and came from a shop on etsy. The artwork is drawn by me (based on Ritual Sanctuary) featuring myself, my wife, and our 2 dogs.
Just a silly little 2-card combo - nothing seriously competitive but nets a mean endboard. Friends and I were joking about ranking up Dingirsu into Varudras and it got me thinking about the best way to actually achieve that, so this was just a fun exercise. Thought I’d share the end result!
So in the original manga, Blue-Eyes White Dragon is an extremely rare card with only 4 copies existing. Also, at 3000 ATK it is also stronger than every other main deck monster besides the Gods. I do not count Fusions and Rituals, because, in the manga, they work more like transforming existing monsters, they are not physical cards. However, as far as I'm aware, there is 1 other monster stronger than Blue-Eyes.
Masked Beast Des Gardius
Used by Lumis and Umbra, this beast is not only stronger than Blue-Eyes, but it also has an effect. Now, in the TCG/OCG Des Gardius is not a monster you can Normal Summon, as it has a Special Summoning condition, but this condition is not on the card in the manga. Presumably, you should be able to Normal Summon it. Although, in the manga this card is summoned by a card effect, so we can't be sure how you are supposed to summon it typically.
It is kind of weird that a card used by 2 minor villains is technically the strongest non-God monster. Why isn't this card considered as legendary as Blue-Eyes in-universe? Also, Kaiba technically owns this card as he shows it in the 4-player duel in the Battle City finals in order to go first. Maybe he won it from Lumis and Umbra?
Another weird fact about Des Gardius: There is a female figure in bondage strapped to its chest.
So I took a break from the game around the time the gimmick puppet cards were announced. Now I'm playing MD and they will get added soon so I'm wondering why they were not OP in the TCG.
They were hyped up as the new tier 0 deck but they didn't seem to live up to the hype.
A perspective from a returning player if you will. I've been around the TCG block so I think I can make some reasonable comparisons. If you dont open a hand trap you can forget about playing this game. Your opponent will go through half his deck and set up 5 negates. I have no idea why Konami went with "the best way to play this game is to make sure your opponent can't play". What messed up design philosophy is this? Pretty much any other card game has a clear back and forth but here it is non-existent. If Konami wants to keep going this fine, they either make another more casual format like speed duel or bring rush other here or they might as well forget any growth. Who in their right mind would pick up this game in 2024?
Just looking for something under $90/€85/£70. I already have Voiceless so I'm not necessarily making a another meta deck. Just something playable at locals. I already have most cheap staples.
Decks I already own:
- Voiceless Voice
- Ninjas
- Vaylantz
- Vanquish Soul
With the new support for Magistus coming, I wanted to revamp my deck and was wondering if there’s any generically good spellcaster support that works well with Magistus, this can include spells, traps, main deck monsters, extra deck monsters whatever, the only caveat is it has to have some level of synergy with Magistus specifically(as of right now I’m not looking into the aleister engine because the new support seems to replace him, but I am open to everything else)
So we are officially in december, which means getting the dragonmaid cards and more news officially for ALIN. Do you think they'll announce new deck build packs or structure deck during the month, because jump festa will also have news to bring
