Multivew?
My wife and I went to watch our recording of Greys Anatomy on ABC tonight and we have an audio description that we can’t turn off! I’ve tried changing audio to the secondary and it doesn’t work. I checked the settings on my tv and the audio/video description setting is turned off. This is super annoying! Is there any way to fix this?? We use a Vizio soundbar as well
We’ve reset the TV (LG), powered off and on, TV location matches YTTV location and it’s showing 11:22 am when it’s 10:09 pm. We’re stumped.
The guide is showing stuff on at the AM time but the live shows are showing correctly.
Just started doing it today. Help.
One of the screens is just plain black. It's the same for both the 2 game and 3 game mulitiview option. Have tried it on Roku, Firestick & Google TV devices and they all have same issue.
So I signed up for YTTV last night and invited my family. It works fine for me, but when my wife, who accepted my invitation goes to log in, the system doesn’t recognize her being in my family. Once she logs in, it offers her a Free Trial and suggests she has to buy the base plan. I called support and they had to escalate. I then asked my daughter, who is currently not in the Home Area to try, and she is faced with the same thing. Wants her to buy a plan.
Anyone have these experiences?
ETA: just got it figured out. Even though I was already sharing things, there was one more share button in the process that initially didn’t make sense to hit, that I hit and solved it. 🤷♂️🤦♂️
It seemed to have been finally working for a few months. But with the latest update it seemed to take it away again. Is anyone else having this issue? It makes me think the background play was enabled on accident on their end and they “fixed” it.
Sup YouTubeTV,
When are we getting a "Live" button for the app (on a TV). I use a Roku, you can click live when you are watching on a web browser, but nothing I can find on the TV app. Not looking for a work around, IE going to last channel and back..
I'm asking Santa for a live button this year. Hope I'm not on the naughty list...
We switched to YouTube TV a couple of months ago and it's definitely better (and much cheaper) than Comcast was. However, the sound is very inconsistent. When we're watching regular, broadcast TV it's fine, but if we watch something we've recorded, it's usually so quiet we can barely hear it even turned way up, and, of course, the commercials come on blaring. We also have that issue when we watch a streaming service like Hulu.
We use a Roku ultra for streaming. Would a Roku soundbar help with this issue? Thank you.
I recently bought a 2024 Roku ultra and I'm a subscriber to YTTV. There is a setting called "autoplay on start" that no matter if I set it on or off, YTTV always starts streaming something as soon as I open the app. Anyone know how I can disable this setting and have it remembered?
At least on Android TV the progress bar is a light purple at the end. I saw this and had a heart attack that my OLED panel was failing. What a terrible design choice!
Does anyone else have this same issue. I “record” shows I like to watch and I see that they come on, but can never find them when ready to watch.
Trying to sign up and setup my parents for YTT, away from their home market. Is this allowed and are there any known issues (i.e. blocked local channels) until they log in from their home market in ~14 days?
For weeks now, my library will not load (2 Roku Ultras on 2 different tvs). As a test today I logged into YoutubeTV using Chrome on my laptop (which I don't normally do). According to my library there, I have ZERO recordings: https://imgur.com/a/DRJtHOj
I've been back and forth with customer service for weeks and the issue remains. Hoping that u/TeamYouTube will see this and help me get it sorted out.
I know this has been asked several times in the past and I've been able to hide the channels from my guide. Even though I've done this, shows from these channels are still being recommended and shown to me on the Top Picks section. Do I just need to keep playing whack-a-mole and pressing "not interested in this" every half our or so to make them leave me alone?
Pardon if this sounds bizarre, but for you WWE fans using YTTV, can you confirm no issues with DVRing Raw and Smackdown? I am a Sling user and for weeks they've had issues with their DVRs properly capturing certain live shows live WWE (but others too). There's a post over in the Sling subreddit. As usual Sling's customer service is pathetic and not helpful....but apparently there's a rumor on Twitter that the networks are asking services like Sling to stop their shows from being DVRable, that way they can boost the live rating? IDK.
Anyways, I canceled Sling and need somewhere to go to watch WWE. Hoping YTTV is the easy answer.
So recently, when watching basketball, whenever I pause the game a score window will pop up to the right. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? I’ve already hit the hide all scores button, but I want the score window to not show up at all.
My wife and I record Jeopardy and watch later. We missed some episodes such as Halloween October 31st. Is there a way to see if it will record? Is there a way to view episodes we missed?
Thank you
I’m still relatively new to youtube tv and I really only use it to watch my favorite tv shows. One of those is 911 and there’s supposed to be a new episode tonight but when I went to look at the schedule it doesn’t even have the new episode on there? And on the airing schedule for tonight it shows my local football game airing on abc instead. Is this an error or something else?
Has anybody received this error when trying to watch something that had been recorded the night before? "Playback error, the program you're trying to watch isn't currently part of your membership. To help us resolve the issue, please open your mobile YouTube TV app, go to settings > send feedback and report this ID:"
It's a show that I watch constantly after recording at night. The channel is part of my YouTube TV package. I've never used YouTube TV on a mobile app, this happened while trying to watch on a fire stick
Why is YouTube Tv still playing political ads? I’m in Maryland and have watched numerous ads this evening for our senate candidates. Please make it stop!
This seems to be occurring more and more but when watching eg Colbert on my TV, the recordings will frequently glitch out / pixelate where half the screen is glitched out. The audio also becomes distorted. This will occur in the same place in the recording when pausing and resuming.
I’ve also noticed some basketball games doing the same thing during a live stream, although luckily not as frequently.
This does not occur with any other streaming app or regular YT itself.
Outside of reinstalling the app and my router, I’m not sure what else I can do. This seems to be a feed problem rather than a localized issue. Thanks
Does anyone have league pass and know how it works with family sharing? Will my family members be able to stream simultaneously on another device? I see there’s only one “tier” of league pass available (no Premium like you’d have on NBA’s direct offering)
So has anyone seen this before where you attempt to watch back live election coverage from last night, and you receive a message, "xxxx has restricted access to this recording. Watch another airing of this version instead." (where "xxxx" is the network that has blocked access)?
I just noticed it today when I was trying to watch one of the networks back that I didn't watch live last night but decided to record. Anyone else notice this or seen this before in the past? I didn't realize networks could flag their content like that on YouTubeTV. Pretty sure I didn't have that issue in the past on DirecTV.

Update:
More info added below about the program if you desire that information
Note: the question is a "general" question about whether it is possible for programs to be blocked by the content provider and for what reasons this may be done.
Love the Zen, but the Halloween ones were still playing last night. Even Dia de los Muertos was Nov 2. Aren't they on a set schedule or someone forgot to pull them?
Anyone try recording that last night? It never showed up for me. Also all recordings on my local ABC (and maybe others didn’t look) were shifted back an our. (6am local news started recording at 7am) I reported the incorrect recordings; but how do you report non-existent ones?
I have a Samsung tv from 2017 or so. The app has always worked but all of a sudden on election night it doesn’t. All it gives me is a black screen after the initial “YouTube tv loading”…
WTH??? This is the one time I watch anything besides sports on tv and this is happening. Just amazing.
I get this message constantly while trying to stream on the living room TV and the bedroom TV simultaneously. No one else has access to my account and only 2 people live here. Google support has been unhelpful and could only come up with "log out and log back in" as a fix. Anyone else having this issue?
I am using chrome browser and on a wired connection. I can get to the live channel list with previews that work but when I try and open a channel I either get blank screen or a video unavailable message.
For some reason the current playback area does not match where I am and I am not on VPN. It should not matter though - I should get local channel viewing and national stations either way.
How do I fix the playback area issue and is there anything else I need to check?
I have no issues on my smart TV or fire sticks just when using browser
TIA
This has no voice track on Roku, PC or Firestick.....
There’s been a lot of discussion about how YouTube TV plans to handle its election night coverage. We’ve created this post to alleviate the countless posting that has started to happen; please read through this before posting your question.

Will YouTube TV be offering a news multiview? Will it be customizable?
There is already a pre-set news multiview, which can be accessed on the Home tab of the YouTube TV app. This multiview includes FOX News, CNN, BBC News, and MSNBC.
We have not heard any plans in regard to customization; at this point I would expect the answer to be no.
How can I get rid of all the political ads?
Trust me … we all want to. There is no way to control these. Just wait til November 6!
Does YouTube TV alter or change any coverage by news channels?
Absolutely not. YouTube TV does have access to embed ads into predetermined ad spots, just like cable and satellite providers do. But YouTube TV does not interfere with, change, or cut off coverage. It also does not make channels have streaming issues, like digital interference, sound cut-out, etc. If you experience these, these issues are likely at the station end.
What channels will be providing election coverage?
YouTube TV offers a wide variety of news channels that will be providing election coverage, including but not limited to:
Major channels such as ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and PBS will also be providing coverage, though their coverage often starts later than dedicated news channels, and might be interrupted by local coverage.
