I took my daughter to do her G1 test to the one on Dougall yesterday and wow. I know that people talk about bad experiences with the employees in Driving centers but I still was so shocked at how they treated people. I was sitting waiting for my daughter and it was really so hard to listen to. They refused an African man with a heavy accent and were so incredibly rude to him it brought tears to my eyes. I warned my daughter before hand that they may be not the friendliest and she was still upset. I genuinely just don’t understand what the reasoning is behind it…they were rude to EVERYONE

I was driving to McDonald's this morning at 230am on Guy Street/Central Ave...there was a Coyote running down Guy Street! It crossed over and onto a front lawn on Central, looked to be headed towards the park?. I tried to take a picture but I was driving...

I assume this is normal and that the train tracks are used as pathways for them to hunt, but to actually see one just running around was kinda nuts. Also, forewarning for people out walking their dogs this morning!

Hey all. I have inherited an absolutely beautiful wooden table (reportedly owned by the Eaton family!). We stripped and sanded the top, but legs still need to be done (and it'll be a doozy).

It also needs to be... Raised. Too low for most chairs unless you like your thighs being crushed lol.

Are there any places in Windsor or the general Essex area that would do this?

I contacted everyone suggested and here is the outcome......

Authentic Exteriors contacted me back first and came out to take measurements, slick outfit, nice guy, but the most expensive.....by ALOT.

AlphaFlow showed up, took measurements but never followed up with a quote.

DS60 contacted me back, asked for my address then sent me a quote without having anyone actually come on site. Not sure if they used satellite images or what, but the quote was high and I wanted to make a couple small changes, their quote was to replace everything exactly as it was, not cool.

Lastly, A-Z Seamless Gutters. Came out to take measurements, quoted me on the spot, great price. He got hired and just finished this afternoon. Did a nice job.

Everyone else that was suggested never responded.

But, I just want to say thank you to everyone for your help, you're awesome. I'll do my best to pay it forward.

Bell have raised my price AGAIN and I'm getting sick of that shit, MNSi are like $30 cheaper and claim to never increase prices.

1. Is that true? Can anyone using them confirm if they really don't ever increase prices?

2. How is the service, generally? Reliable? Good speeds?

Anybody know what they are digging for on riverside drive by pillette ish. There like 3-4 houses where they are digging a few feet deep and panning the dirt.

A Swiss friend is visiting Ontario/Michigan mid-January and I'm joining him from Montreal. We're both aviation geek so we got quite intrigued by the air service in winter from Windsor to Peele Island. Looking at the schedule, it looks like there's a flight on Sundays that get us to Peele Island at 10:40am and comes back at 3:10pm. That leaves us ~4 hours on Peele Island.

I understand it's really a summer destination and a lot of establishments are only open seasonally. However, just wondering is there ANYTHING (Any Inns, pubs, restaurants) that's open in the winter at all? We're both quite fit and used to winter outdoors so our plans is basically to walk around the island so a place to grab lunch would be nice. Anything you'd recommend to do in January?

I did look at some old posts but just curious if anyone has suggestions for restaurants that are good with groups (15-25) for a birthday party. Private room not required but may be nice.

Restaurant also needs to be accessible- so close parking, no stairs, etc.

I feel like Halloween is fading out slowly? When I was younger, everyone and their moms would trick or treat, every house was open nearly. After covid, it's like Halloween is a hit or miss and... mostly it's a miss.

People didn't start coming until 6pm, and basically stopped at 7-8pm, such a low amount of kids too and I live in a pretty populated area which was so surprising.

When me and my friend went trick or treating, so many houses were closed too.

Apparently it's even worse in some other areas, with one of my other friends only having 3 kids visit her the entire night.

I've seen people online say that something called, 'Trunk or treat' is causing this but I'm not sure. I'm so confused what's going on.

Its making me anxious watching Halloween rapidly fade away, since it's one of those amazing feel good holidays.

I'm around the East-end Banwell area and for the past few years numbers in my neighborhood have been dwindling on Halloween. I think I had around 40 kids at my door. I still have a large box of candy leftover (more for me I guess lol)

Halloween used to be bustling in my area now it's just sad.

Yesterday a weed man representative came to my door and asked for would I be interested in his services. I gave him my info and I signed on an iPad. The signed box said

By doing some research I see a lot of negative reviews on them. CBC marketplace has a video on them. Scammers… Am I screwed ? Will they use my initial for something else ?? Will they send a bill to my house ?

I was wondering if anyone recently had used at home euthanasia for their pet? I was reading about Dr. Bailey for this area. Any idea of how long it takes for an appointment to be fulfilled (i.e., same day, next day)? What are the cost estimates? This would be for a small/medium dog. Many thanks in advance.

Edit: Many thanks for all the comments! She is coming on Monday. Which maybe isn't so bad. Gives me one more weekend with my sweet girl. This def is say more difficult than I ever imagined, that's for sure.

I just found out that my appointment at clear imaging has been canceled due to the ongoing strike. I'm pregnant and I was really looking forward to my anatomy scan, besides ESR clinic is there any other options out there for me.
