Hi, My HTC HD 2 is often out of sync with time. Is there any CAB app, which can update the time through wifi? Thank you
Hello, I recently got my hands on an HTC touch diamond 2 and it runs Windows Mobile 6.1, is there a way to update it to Windows Mobile 6.5 because I can’t find the update utility anywhere. Thanks
Hey everyone,
Recently been wanting a Windows Mobile device (old kind, like an HP iPad or something, not Windows Phone) but finding one that works seems a bit difficult (mostly cuz I worry about battery life on something that's 20 years old)
What would y'all recommend? Just buy one off eBay and hope it works? Is it possible to buy a new replacement battery (as in, recently manufactured)
Thanks

Good evening everyone!
After searching around for quite some time I came across one that actually works. Elecont Weather still has their webpage up and from what I saw they have apps for moder android and IOS, and I guess they decided to keep their Windows Mobile app connected too.
In theory you need a key to use/activate it, but it has been on my HTC HD2 for more than a week now without activation and so far no issues. But that activation service might be down since whenever I tried to click on buying a key on the website, I got directed to a website which doesnt seem to do anything. This is the link to their website with the option to download the .cab: http://elecont.com/weather-for-pocket-pc.aspx
I also uploaded the .cab to my 4shared so its archived, although its fair to think that if the site goes down, most likely the service follows: https://www.4shared.com/s/f1J9hqRjIge
I bought an HTC kaiser/TyTn II phone for Windows Mobile 6.0 and I can't find games or applications for this phone anywhere, is it possible to install additional software at all?
Asphalt 4 Elite Racing was in the games folder, but for some reason it is on the root of the start menu now. Is there any way to stop that on windows mobile 6.5 and move start menu icons into folders manually?
Good evening everyone!
I am curious if anyone has or knows about any working weather apps for this operating system? I tried most that I could find on mobyware.org, but none seem to work. I had especially high hopes for the two that said they use accuweather. Any insight would be appreciated!
Thank you for your time :)
Picked this up the other day and can get it running on mint mobile on edge. Wondering if there is a way to update it to 6.1 and if that would give me any better options for email/web browsing.
Also if anyone has links to working software of any kind that would be awesome.
Good day all!
I have spent the past 2 months or so goofing around with my new HTC HD2 running Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, and during my quest of trying to get it as up to date as I can I accumulated a bunch of installer (.cab and .jar) files which I searched the internet and archived links for. Some of you may have them already, but some may not and I wish to make their life easier. I uploaded the files to 4share so they are archived on there.
This is a collection of a couple of browsers, not all of them work. None of them (except one?) are fully functional on the modern web, but I think thats something that us enthusiasts come to term with after a while, the price of meddling with outdated technology. I post the links in a most functional to not functional order.
Opera Mini 8
This one was a pain in the ass to get a hold of. Even though you can download it from the official opera site still (if I remember correctly), it was more of finding the last Opera Mini that works on Windows Mobile.Since this was not made specifically for WM it is a java executable. Now I have two WM devices, an Omnia SGH-i900 and the HTC HD2, both come with a Java runtime app by default. I didnt test this on the Omnia, but the HD 2's built in Java app simply couldnt install this, that is why I also provide the installation file for Java FX, which was Java's official WM runtime.

This is the zip file as it was downloaded from the archived Java website. The cab is in the bin subfolder, it might take one or two tries to install (I think for me it did on the third). Afterwards it is fully functional and can be used for any .jar or .jad file. Quick rundown is after you specify to open a jar/jad file with Java FX, it will open all of them with Java FX and it will install them for you. Then to run the app you have to open Java FX and it will be listed there next to all Java apps installed. Here is the .jar file for Opera Mini 8

On my device the browser runs fast and without issues, most websites wont be optimized, especially new ones for viewing in here, but it is quite usable. The only thing I can complain about is that the top and bottom bar are visually glitched and displeasing to look at (may this be the least of our problems), and I dont know if there is a workoround for this or not, but whenever you tap on something to input text it opens a separate textbox to type the text in (pressing enter here literally inserts a new line), that you have to okay out of for the text to show up where you meant to type it. This is intended this way. The problem comes when the site does not have a separate "search" or "okay" button next to the input field, but instead expects you to hit enter after you type to start an action. If this is the case, I have found no way to start said action as tapping on the input field opens the text box, and in there pressing enter insterts a new line and nothing more.
Opera Mini 5.1
This is the final edition that was specifically made for WM, and surprisingly it still works just fine. You can notice that Opera Mini 8 is newer as some websites load in better quality or have a better layout by default, although this shouldnt deter you from using it, as if something loads in 8, it will load here. There is a .cab file so no need for extra programs which makes it simple to install. This file is from the official Opera site (still available now too) Its late at night now and 4share doesnt want to give me the share link so I just link in the official Opera download.

As I said it renders most websites fine, and both operas are about the best you are going to get.

Dorothy Browser
Here we enter the most likely wont load a webpage section, I havent used this one as much as once every couple launches it crashes, and by that point I figured it probably wont be any better than Opera(s). But it got as far as loading google and I managed to get some webpages to load from the searches.

Fennec
From what I got this was supposed to be the Firefox of WM, that you can get by the logo of the proram and the design it uses. This one crashed more than loaded for me, I managed to get it to load google once and from there I loaded Wikipedia, but I didnt manage to make that happen again.

WinWAP
This one is clearly made for older platforms as it uses a much lower resolution. It loads google and the opening page (mobile.winwap.com) shows 2024, so I assume it is still supported to some degree. On my HD2 its a pain to navigate it as the scaling and resoltuion is off, but if I remember correctly I did manage to load wepaged after google searching.

Iris browser
This one I had big hopes for as this was developed as the browser made with webkit, which would be awesome as that means its more compatible with the modern web. Sadly it got abandoned mid development and it was never finished. I spent lots of time trying to find the download for this one. I would say it actually loads google the best out of all browsers I tried, but sadly any link I clicked from there threw a Security Channel error, which I assume refers to all security sertificates that expired a while ago now, and because of those it cannot establish a secure connection to servers.

UC Browser
This one was one of the first ones I tried, if I remember correctly it loaded google, maybe even a couple webpages after searching, but had no point in using it after Opera.
https://www.4shared.com/s/fNLRRzMewfa
uZardWebP
This one does not load any webpage for me, throws a connection error. Havent tried using it with mobile data (I assume thats an option to try as some applications, even though connected to WiFi, will throw a connection error because they cant find a cellular network to use).
https://www.4shared.com/s/fdZ7UEAvxfa
Opera Mobile 10
Another Opera, not mini though. Doesnt load any webpages for me, also throws a connection error. 4Shared doesnt give me the share link, so here is the archived download link from the official Opera website (even though there is an option to download it from there now, it will bring you to the modern opera download page).

Skyfire Mobile Browser
From what I got this used to be a cool browser back in the day, doesnt load anything now. The download link point to a ZIP file, in there are two cabs for PPC and SMP (no clue what SMP stands for).
https://www.4shared.com/s/fY9Hb-hAVjq
ZetaKey
In theory this a still in development, HTML 5 webkit browser that is also built for WM platform, to this day. I have tried a couple version of it, literally all crash after I launch them, maybe instantly, maybe after I try to type in a link. I will link a .rar file from 4shared thats an older version, I will also link the webpage of the browser, where you have the option to download the newest version. They offer a free demo version and a paid version (149$ :|) for download. Maybe it will work for you, maybe not, but this seems like the last hope for browsing on WM. Since its not a .cab file you need to copy the entire folder over to your device, and launch the .exe from there.

If anyone has any luck with this browser please let me know!
And that is all the browsers I found, it sucks that there is nothing better but hey, at least Opera works. If you have any questions feel free to ask here or DM me. Im in no way a developer or expert, simply a curious person who happens to have lots of free time.
First started with unlocking bootlaoder, but i did it without first booting Into system and now i get gears. Then tried rebooting but thats where it bricked. I can't fix it, WDRT fails to emergency flash it and thor2 gives XXX expected XXX got or something, i first got qualcoom(9008) driver then unninstalled to get (QHSUSB_BULK). I have this old 4150, I got working again by reflashing, it's not worth much if anything. I am willing to give it away to someone preferably in the UK (due to shipping costs). My thinking is, that there maybe someone here who would get more enjoyment from it than me.
I'm really want to update to windows 10 mobile. Bc i really want to be windows fan yah
Hi!
I have four totally the same pocket two of them have installed a diagnostics program that I need to copy to the others. Does anybody know of software that makes it possible? Can I get direct hard drive access somehow to copy complete content?
If somebody here has the knowledge to do this as a job. I’m more than happy to pay.
These are Juniper Archer units.
Thanks!

Does anyone know how to transfer old text messages from a Samsung Blackjack phone? There was one software company that offered this but is no longer in business. I want to be able to transfer all the stored sent and received messages to my windows 11 Dell Inspiron but there is no software I can find besides the defunct godsmobile. TIA!
Bit of a strange one but here it is! A Honeywell Dolphin 6000, running WM6.5. Only interesting things about it are that, it's Honeywell, and it's a barcode scanner!
When I try to start asphalt 4 this error appears. Sometimes the game starts, but pressing anything makes it crash immediately.

Does it work on your device? How can I fix this problem? I tried rebooting, but it doesn't help.
