Been hearing alot about this lately and it seems like a gross misuse of limited resources by LAPD in Venice Beach.
Has anybody else heard about this or received a ticket on Venice Beach and would you be interested in organizing to talk to Venice Neighborhood Council?
Hello, I’m a stylist at California Born Salon in Venice and I’m looking for some style specific hair models for social media content. I have been in the beauty industry for about 20 years and I’m rebuilding my clientele, so looking to post content of haircuts I’m good at.
Haircuts I’m looking to do: men’s mid length middle part, mid length side part, skin fade buzz cut. Women’s cuts: shag, bob, razor cut bob, pixie, 90s shoulder length/layers with bangs
Please reach out via DM to @cruxoflove on Instagram to see if you’d be a good fit.
Thank you!
Looking for an apartment to rent in Venice as close to Abbot Kinney as possible for under $3500. Possibly up to $4k. I want something at least 1 bed and more than 700 sqft that is dog friendly. Any building recommendations?
I just renewed my CA DL and the City name, El Dorado Hills, is cut off and only lists "El Dorado Hil". Anyone else experience this? I called the DMV when I renewed my license online because I saw that the city name was cut-off on the receipt I got. They told me that's just the way their system shows it on the receipt but that the actual DL would have the full city name. That's not what I see now that it arrived. Don't know if the license address line has a character count limit??
Any insights would be helpful.......TIA

Anyone know what happened Saturday night in the Venice canals? I heard about bloody areas along walking paths and an unconscious woman (w\no clothing) who had apparently been brutally attacked. Police showed up but it seems no information is being released about the presumed attack.
Looking for a friend to keep each other motivated. Ideally hit the gym 2-3 times a week. Prefer mornings but can be flexible to schedules.

Hey there, I love the artistic community circulating around Venice. I am relatively new to the area and seeking friends with like-minded interests.
I’m hoping to find writers, directors, editors, camera crew, and talented minds that can help teach me aspects of the filmmaking process.
Thanks for reading! Cheers, Kyle

Hola, I lived in Santa Monica/Venice/El Segundo 2013-2019 and at the time WestSideRental.com was the most reliable apartment finder, for me anyway, I see it's still operational but is it still legit?
I'm looking to move back to the area after being in the mid-west for a few years nursing an aging parent, but moving long distance has it's own challenges so just looking for reliable sources outside of being there on the ground proper. Thanks!
Planning to visit venice this Easter weekend from Ljubljana..suggestions for cheap stay away from the city, food and must visit places??

It was my pleasure to write about one of the biggest (and best) run clubs in the world https://www.runningsucks101.com/p/venice-run-club-community-justin-shields
I am visiting Venice for the first time. I am staying near "Corso del popolo Torino" bus stop. I found out that bus number 15 going to Airport passes through "Corso del popolo Torino" stop. My question:
I walked by it and noticed there wasn't a lot of activity. Is this store closed? Any plans with the area? It's such a cool spot and it'd suck if the homeless population overtook it.
I've lived in the neighborhood before it was Simon's and it was a gully bodega. The guys who ran that were nice despite it being a run of the mill joint serving the locals (homeless and not).
Then it became "Simon's" which kind of represented second wave Venice. Way more expensive, bougier, but still had Venice soul. The products were imported, a decent well priced wine selection and the guys/gals working there very friendly salt of the earth old school venice types. I often stayed for a neighborhood chat after picking up some milk, eggs, bottle of red, whatever I needed in a pinch. The guys who worked the register warned that the new owners had "big plans" that did not include the guys who had been working there for some time. Shame.
Enter third wave Venice. Earlier this week, I stopped in to say hello and asked about the changes since as a provider of basic goods in the past it has an opportunity to be a hub for the local walk street and surrounding community. But alas, the new owners were unfriendly, stuck up, and really acted too cool to even engage. It's giving off Trustafarians and models only vibes.
Sure change is inevitable, but even Superba for its slickness has a welcoming vibe. Am I butt hurt? Yeah - maybe a crotchety old school venetian who doesn't embrace upscale change with open arms... but this is more than that. This is jumping the shark even for Venice imo.
I'll walk a little further next time and get my milk/eggs at Ralph's. Wine from Lincoln Wines (super friendly). And Rainbow Acres for the chips and other shit.
What other signs represent the third wave? The former Other Room becoming a Madewell or whatever the f?

Hey, me and a couple of friends wants to play pick up soccer or register a team in a Sunday League. Not just a kick about, more like games 7v7 or 11v11.
Is there anything available somewhat near Venice, Santa Monica, DTLA etc?
