Hi all.
Just curious. How often do people notice the poop smell in Venice and where does the sewage go?
Ciao!
So last night I was coming back from the grand canal with my friend (we took the bus) and we were talking in English. There was a group of people in their 20s and one girls was constantly looking, we made eye contact very often and she was definitely very cute (blondish/light brown hair and around 165cm I would say). Im afraid she thought my friend was my gf or something (or maybe she was just listening to our conversationand didnt care at all about me). Anyways, I regret not saying anything so I hope somehow I find this girl again (or she sees this post). Thanks for reading so far, have a nice day
We’re coming in a week but we’re on a budget! We would love to eat at authentic, local places without hurting our wallets too much. Thanks.

I’ve been to Venice before and already seen the main attractions. This time, I’m hoping to discover some hidden gems and unique spots that most tourists miss. Also, would love any recommendations for great local restaurants
I’m heading for Venice in January, and my travel companions are antisocial introverts - a lot of people are going to drain them and make them miserable. I’ve added the Royal Gardens to our itinerary for a break to just sit and breathe, and maybe have a small snack (is that looked down on there? Having a picnic?); but I’d love other places to duck in and escape, and just breathe in the beauty and vibes, too. A quiet cafe, a tiny garden, a bench somewhere that gives joy, anything. We have churches on the list, but I’d like more. What are YOUR favorite quiet spots in Venice?

I'll be visiting Venice and Milan from 23rd November onwards and I'm wondering if it'll be too warm if I wear a sweater and a winter jacket?
Thank you!
We arrive tomorrow afternoon November 16th and it’s a full moon tide. Haven’t seen any posts about flooding so not sure what to expect tomorrow. Anyone know if we are in the clear? We have huge suitcases we’ll be hauling to our hotel near San Marco Square.
Thanks!
Hello,
young couple aged 23-26 on a weekend trip to Venice here. We’d love to go out, we enjoy taking shots, but we don’t want to spend too much. We still have fond memories of an epic night out in Rome that cost us very little.
Do you have any recommendations for bars or neighborhoods where we could find what we’re looking for?
Oh, and also, we listen to a lot of emo rock, so if you know of any rock bars to recommend, we’d love that. Otherwise, just any good bars would be great!
Thanks to you :)
I will be staying at Cannaregio and according to Google Maps, most of the tourist attractions require me to use a Vaporetto. However, people have been saying Venice is a walkable city so I would like to know which is which?
Thank you!
My mother and I will be traveling to Murano in April, and the top of my list of things to do is attend a glass blowing workshop where they take you through all of the steps, and you can take home your creation.
I was prepared to book a class at Murano Glass Blowing Factory, when I stumbled upon Wave Murano Glass.
Can anyone recommend one over the other? Wave has more reviews and pictures on Google, but I realize this doesn't necessarily mean it is "better." I've also seen recommendations for Nason Moretti, but it doesn't look like they host classes/workshops.
We are staying at the Hyatt on Murano, so distance and transportation to the class are not an issue.
Thank you!

Question for locals, how can we know if we will pay for som quality mask that deserve the price. Any recommendation for particular shops?
Are there any places to buy swords and/or daggers in Venice?
