Was involved in an unprovoked attack that left the victim with serious injuries to eye and facial fractures. Attack took place near 405 and Warner this evening. Attacker was a passenger in a white Mercedes C-class. If you have any information please DM, I can provide detective’s contact information.
Didn’t catch the whole thing so not sure what happened, but getting out of your car is never a great idea.
Hey, I don’t usually post here, but I wanted to get some input or hear others' experiences with citations at Huntington Beach. A couple of months ago, I was there to catch the blue waves. I got out around 8:08 PM, put on my jacket, and headed to the kiosk to pay for parking. I paid at 8:10 PM (this is important for later) and then went on to enjoy the waves with my girlfriend. When we returned, I found a parking citation on my dash, stating it was issued at 8:12 PM and fined me $65. The fine seemed ridiculously high, especially since I paid before the citation was printed, so I appealed it right away.
It took two months for my appeal to get a response, and when I finally heard back, the letter simply said, “Reason: The reason given does not invalidate the citation. Dismissed as a one-time courtesy.”
While I’m grateful the citation was dismissed, I think it’s absurd how predatory the timing of that citation was. There was a line at the kiosk, and a group of girls who parked around the same time we did also received citations. I can’t imagine how frustrating this would be for an elderly or disabled person. This experience has definitely made me hesitant to visit Huntington Beach again, which is a shame because I really love the beach there.
Anyone have any similar experiences?
Does anyone know where the best place is to find valid more in depth information on the candidates currently running for state senator?

It doesn’t get much better than this.
Hi guys,
I’ll be in Huntington Beach for the weekend and I’ll be flying out of Burbank airport Monday morning at 10:30am. The maps say that it’ll take an hour or so to drive there, but I kind of feel like that’s a lie. I would like to know from other’s experiences how long will it really take to get there and if I should get a hotel near Burbank Sunday night instead. Thanks so much for the help!
My flat garage roof in downtown HB is leaking at the seams of the silicone covering that was put up last year (TropiCool).
Any recommendations for reasonable handymen/roofers who could address this without overcharging?
This probably a 3/4 hour job max. Thank you!
Hi all, I am from central California looking to move to HB soon. Always loved visiting and finally have enough experience to have a good chance towards a decent paying job in my field. I am wondering what commutes would be like going to other cities during rush hour, namely Irvine, Garden Grove, Santa Ana and Costa Mesa. I know SoCal traffic is a whole different world. Thanks! :)
They have it on tap at bJs on main but they have been tapped out for over a week and keep lying to me about when they’ll get it back. Who else has it on tap??
Hello!
I originally posted this to the Westminster page, but it's so small I hoped to branch out to the neighbors. Heard about some FBI activity early this morning on Nelson Street (Edinger x Magnolia). I've been waiting for updates in the news but it's been crickets. Has anyone heard anything?
Hi everyone I am a uber driver if you guys need a ride to anywhere I will do it cheaper than Lyft and uber just hit me up thanks
Any updates on when the CAVA will open? Last update I’ve seen is August 2024 saying they were working on permits.
Lots of flags and roid rage 🤠 Stear clear if you gotta go by there!
I will be in Huntington Beach for the Super Bowl. What watch parties or bars do you recommend?

I found an apartment that is around 1.7 miles north of the Ascon toxic site by Edison high school but then read in an older OCRegister article that someone who lived around a mile north was having adverse health effects when the city was cleaning it up in 2019. I also read that there has been a high amount of cancer among people who lived in the area throughout the decades.
Has the landfill been fully cleaned up yet and what is a safe distance to live away from the site?
