I’m newish to Tekken and have been playing since close to release… and I just found out Law has a freaking high evading 11f CH launcher lol… Like is that normal? Tekken has so many moves and as I’m trying to watch my replays to learn I see this and I’m like “Isn’t that powerful as fuck?” First thing I wondered is how many characters have something similarly as powerful if at all… the move is Laws CH d2,3 I think
I’ll try to keep this short but when I begin to play I start off good, but after watching my replays I notice that my records slowly start going down (Best out of 3, First Match 3-2 then 2nd 2-3 and third would be 0-3), I feel like I just make a line of bad decisions due to overall fatigue and it just works against me(like throwing out random kicks or something that I know is wrong but I’m too tired in the moment to correct it) , one notable example is when I’m learning my Wavu or KBD, my fingers get tired and my movements get way more harder to execute, any advice or help for me?
No matter how light and fast i try to press i get like 3 frames minimum on a single direction button. Trying to learn stuff like TJU, bs isw, pewgf, etc. I just dont know how its humanly possible.
TJU especially, u cant buffer or anything and I HAVE to input a 1 frame forward right?
I know, smurfing is bad, but I wanted to test something. And I would like to share these findings with you all. In case you don't remember me, I've been really frustrated with the game, a big part of that stemming from the toxicity of other players.
So I started smurfing to see how's the population doing overall. And I found out interesting things. Things that could help some of you too.
So my most important note is about how people play against someone with lower prowess or higher prowess. With me having lower prowess people were actually playing better against me. They seemed to be more willing to try knowledge checks and played a lot more confident. And that's good, especially against someone not playing their main. They may have higher prowess but they also may not be that comfortable with a new character. They'll do wrong punishes, won't maybe know what move to use in your knowledge check situations. You should test them before assuming they can really play that alt character so well.
The other thing I noticed that throughout my way to tekken emperor people were a lot less toxic against me. I didn't change anything about my playing style. Now this is just a guess, but I believe it is also tied to the prowess. I think people felt the matches were more fair if I was around their prowess and didn't feel the need to bm me when they won. And that is interesting.
Now you may downvote me for smurfing but I would also like to ask, does the game frustrate you more when you're matched against people with higher prowess than yours? Does it feel unfair, even to the point of feeling the need to taunt them if you win?
I feel like as a stance character her movements and everything feel incredibly satisfying to pull off.
but it also feels like she has far too many stances and routes, like they gave her TOO much to work with.
And because of that she doesn't feel anywhere near as satisfying to play as her(real father)male counterpart.
(I mean I still do cause she's hot as fuck and I like her personality but I feel like she could be a lot better y'know?)
hey y’all, sorry if this is long or if this question has been asked before but i’m new here and couldn’t seem to find a solid answer.
i’m fairly new to tekken, maybe 2 months; even newer to the community. ive been playing eddy; currently in the middle of red ranks with him, and this feels like an appropriate place for me given my skill level, and how often i win/lose.
(also before i get a bunch of hate for playing eddy, capoeira has always interested me, and i actively try to use his string of 3’s combo sparingly)
regarding my question, the reason i want to try and use a new character is twofold:
i’ve tried a couple other characters and eddy feels somewhat unique compared to them? lots of mix ups and seems like there’s a heavy emphasis on flowing moves together based on stances. I think if i want to develop my fundamentals a bit more, maybe trying a character where those fundamentals are more emphasized might help me?
I think that learning a new character would improve my skills and understanding of the game as a whole, regardless, particularly in matchups with said character; i notice that i usually CRUSH eddy players i see online, because they just end up playing very predictably.
(also learning eddy’s moveset and how moves flow into one another was so fun and rewarding regardless, so doing it again sounds pretty fun)
There are a lot of unique characters in the game obviously, but is there a character that would fit in the mold of “base character, everyone should know how to play them, most moves branch off from their move set”?
does anyone have any insight? or am i tripping?
I was having a lot of fun with this game. I really became obsessed with it more than any other fighting game and I mean I played MK, SF, Strive but none of them ever really clicked like T8 did. I got all the way to Raijin with Kazuya and was kind of battling the lower blue ranks. Long story short, a loss streak got me back down to Flame Ruler, and now I’m hard stuck Battle Ruler for about 3 days now. I got really upset with myself because I thought I was improving really well. So upset in fact, that I punched my leg repeatedly until it bruised up. I’ve never had a melt down like that before, especially over a game. And for the sake of my mental health, I decided to flush the game. As much as I love it, it’s not worth getting as upset about it as I did. I hope everyone can learn that it’s okay to put the game away for a while. Maybe I’ll come back, maybe I won’t.

In my opinion i i love nina more than any other girl in tek but as much as i hate anna as much i want to see her revenge but I don't want nuna to get hurt i think nina personality is so much better in tekken 8 she smiles she laugh unlike any other tekken she's living her live without anna that was a personal opinion
Kazuya is my main and I started playing tekken this year. Is me being Fujin with Kazuya respectable?
I have an arcade stick and generally play Dragunov. However, I'm very VERY new to fighting games (unless you count Smash) so I'm not sure where to start.
Meanwhile i had trouble getting to fujin. Funny how the rage art didnt connect.
“HELP ME IN A NUTSHELL”I have always loved and played tekken but never really knew the jin vs kazuya lore so i just wanted to ask and post in here, they are brothers with devil gene’s ? Where is the devil gene from ? heihachi ? ? I remember in one of the old games my cousin used to spam some stomach misle from hibachi so i guess he has the devil gene first ? Is there and ending to all of this iknow jin gets another form but is there more in lore wise ? OR WHERE SHOULD I START WITH THE LORE
Specifically the one that plays at the beginning of Paul's ending. Here's the link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fm0qjgsQErI&t=15s
Is this an actual track from one if the games or was it just made for this cinematic?
I always have that message at the online versus screen since im not sure which update. 3 , 4 or 5 times until I can actually play a match. Its annoying AF. I play in the America3 server. Am I the only one with the issue? Do somebody knows how to fix it? I have not found anything useful about it on google or Steam forums. Mu internet connection is OK btw. I play on PC with a Wifi connection.
Seen a lot of videos and guides say that steve’s ws1 is one of his best pokes and good for pressure but how? I know you can use it out DCK but what’s the point and how/when can I utilise it to enforce his gameplan.
