Hello!
Way earlier this year I posted about the site I made that shows you various stats based on your Tekken match history.
It's come a long way since and I just added a mini version of the "wrapped" a bunch of other sites do for fun!
I know it's not perfect, I didn't quite have the time I thought I would, but I hope you enjoy if you give it a go!
To get to the wrapped, simply enter your your wavu url on the homepage, and click the giant "wrapped" button at the top!
That's all - have a good day Tekken peeps!
The reason I ask is because I was up against some smurf that was able to side step everything I did. I noticed he was doing that so I threw out homing moves and it was either too slow and he blocked it, or side stepped then jabbed me
Then I remember that there was a character that had a low that had"good tracking". What does this mean? What's the point of homing moves if a smaller quick poke is better
Clive is fun
I'm not even kidding,I play Steve and my brother played Brian for 10 fucking seconds and since it's brain I instantly got molested,Brian in this game is actually so much bullshit and idk how people say otherwise,I heard people say that he is hard to play and on the same level as kazuya or Steve, that shit really pisses me off so much I start genuinely start tweeking the fuck out.My brother used to play kazuya and I respected it because kazuya actually takes some skill, then when he played Brian my whole damn life turned upside down,I play Steve and main him so that shit gets me genuinely heated,it feels like everytime I fight a Brian I have to get on my hands and knees and cut myself with a fucking knife to do a ritual so Harada may give me a fighting chance.I hate Brian so much that I would genuinely rather stub my toe and then fall onto Lego pieces on the floor,Brian does not make the game playable and is the reason playing tekken 8 pisses me off so much.I truly dispse him,so I beg of you Harada, please with all of my heart and soul nerf Brian and maybe buff stuff since you fucked him over since Tekken 7,please,as a Christmas gift Harada,I'm begging you.
I wanted to share my frustration with Paul Phoenix's transformation into Tekken in the latest releases of the game. I remember when Paul was a serious character, a powerful and charismatic fighter, with a fighting style that was truly impressive. His strength and tough attitude have made him one of my favorites since Tekken 3 But now? It seems they decided to turn him into a clown. His personality has been reduced to a series of jokes and ridiculous behavior. I can't understand why they chose this direction. Paul deserves to be represented with the dignity he's always had, not as a comedic character who makes people laugh for the wrong reasons The new moves and animations seem more geared towards fun than competitiveness. It's as if they wanted to make the game "lighter" to the detriment of the depth of the characters. I'm not saying that comedic elements can't be added, but not at the cost of Paul's true essence In a franchise like Tekken, where there are so many characters with unique stories and fighting styles, it's disappointing to see an iconic fighter like Paul reduced to a caricature. I hope that in the next chapters we can go back to giving Paul the respect he deserves And you, what do you think? Is it just my impression or do you also feel that they ruined the character?
This rage quit has to stop. Just take the L
Can someone please give me advice on 3 2 sway deathfist. I have watched videos and tried practicing but it's no good I just can't do it.
Please can I get some tips. I'm just too slow with inputting qcf2
No I don't want to play with a 3 bar wifi Italian, thank you
I saw this mod (https://tekkenmods.com/mod/3100/tekken-7-electric-sfx-for-t8) which replaced the electric sounds with the ones from Tekken 7, but it doesn't include Heihachi. Is there an updated one that might? (I'm referring to the actual crackling of the EWGF, not the voiceline as theres already a mod for that)
Tittle. Since the release i'm getting the polaris error randomly, like 1 of every 15 matches. Am i getting more dced % and points penalty?
It's the most bizarre fucking thing to do. "Oh, too bad that last match was having connection problems, here bro, let's get you back to the main menu so you can start all over again." Log me out of Windows and turn off my computer as well while you're at it.
Do you think it would improve the game or not? Personally, I think it would and it’s for two main reasons:
Combos, although they’re a lot more interesting in this game, they’re way too long because of the existence of heat burst. It really sucks being on the receiving end of one, and because of heat burst you almost always end up at the wall and then it’s gg. I much prefer shorter combos because the game is way less about getting launched into a day long combo that leaves u at the wall against an opponent in heat.
You actually get to earn your heat. Heat feels awesome, but I think part of the reason why it feels so damn oppressive to play against is simply the fact that you can pop it whenever. I can get a Jin down to 1 hp but the moment he pops heat he’s suddenly match admin all because of one godam heat smash. I think if you can only get heat from a heat engager, it would feel much more rewarding and also way less annoying to play against.
As a counterpoint to 2, people may say that the whole point of heat burst is to make a comeback. But I think with the current state of the game, what with the safe on block powercrush/super evasion heat engagers into +5 OB or followup/launcher yadda yadda yadda, most of the time this ‘comeback’ game that people talk about is actually the minority of gameplay. Majority of the time that heat is used, it’s usually to help a winning opponent get an even STRONGER advantage (ie heat at the wall) which is just impossible to block against.
Lemme just preface that I love tekken 8 and I think the gameplay is super fire. I just think this specific change could help alleviate this game’s biggest problem (but also maybe it’s strength) which is endless aggression. Perhaps it would get ppl like Arslan Ash to start enjoying the game LOL
(reposting because the first one didn’t fit the rules or something stupid) I got the game 3 days ago and having played a lot of MK i’m familiar with fighting games. I’ve never played a tekken before and i bought the game basically just for clive. I’m a big FF16 fan and when i saw him in the game + it’s on sale, i had to tap in. (There i’m over 50 words hopefully this one doesn’t get nuked 💀)
It doesnt take much skill to play clive esp when most of his moves have insane range hitbox ( i have clive and hes ass to use)
As someone who sucks at combos, I wanted to take a moment to appreciate the dedication and skill that goes into mastering Tekken, especially when it comes to learning and executing every character's combos.
Tekken imo is a button smashing, spamming game but it is also a game that requires strategy and precision and a lot of memorization. In terms of precision and strategy, the blocking comes into question. Since you have to wait for the ai to hit you to be able to block, the timing has to be perfect and one mishap and then it's over. In terms of memorization, every character has unique combos and an insane number of it and it is not just about pressing buttons, it is about the timing and reading your opponent's actions. Something I'm so bad at and probably will never be and that's fine.
It's honestly amazing how players can rotate between mastering the character's combos and pull them off flawlessly and effortlessly is mind blowing to me and remembering the inputs of all the characters is an insane talent.
So my respect to all Tekken players out there.
I’ve been playing Clive and Phoenix Gate perfectly fine since its release but when I booted up today and played a few rounds I noticed that all the music for the map is just…gone? I still own Clive and the map, but the music is locked out in the jukebox, doesn’t play during the match and even his little victory jingle is missing if I win with his super move
I’ve tried restarting game a few times and even restoring licenses but no dice, any help/ideas?
It’s been MONTHS since the last balance patch, some characters still have the same gigantic problems since launch and the devs are focused on lounge customization and (broken ass) DLCs character. The state of the game is a joke. Not only they couldn’t find the resources to fix the damn roster, they’re even focusing on lounge customizations and stupid things like the damn sphere, you know which one. It’s been a whole year of competitive tournaments fully dominated by the same 4 characters and everyone already learnt all the broken stuff, be it mid or high level everyone is abusing the same things cause they knows there’s no good counterplay. If not mistaken the patch will be delivered in February but we’re still 2 months away. That’s NOT ok at all.
I recently faced a Dragunov that was relentless with the grapples that he has and after the match I went to replays to see how I can break it. The replay told me to press 1+2 to break the grapple but when I did that I had little success in doing so. It would like 25% of the time, I even recorded doing it. Is there a certain way to break his grapples, because it feels like the game picks and chooses when it can be broken lol.
