the only throw I can reliably break is king's face kick shit 1+2. But I thought we were just guessing because half the time I literally can't process if it's a 1, 2, or 1+2 throw. I just reached fujin and I still cannot do this even after so many hours in 7 bro I'm cooked.

Hello! I've read a few posts about the Steam Deck settings for T8 and I tried them all. Gameplay is fine but visually it just hurts. Does anyone know if medium preset settings are ok? Gameplay runs smooth, graphic is not atrocious, the Deck whooshes a little but T8 is heavy af so it does it anyway, but I don't want to melt my new Steam Deck playing with settings that are not recommended 😕

Currently, I'm playing Victor but I'm looking forward to play other characters and I don't know which one to pick. I tried Jack-8, but from my playstyle doesn't match on him and I tried using him on Quick matches and I can't tell where am I lacking on Jack-8 and I lose many times than Victor has. I'm not saying Jack-8 sucks, just to be clear, maybe — if not most defintely — it's on my part that I can't utilize Jack-8 as a whole. Maybe because on how much of his moves are focused on heavy attacks and it's not very good on beginners.

Anyways, set aside for that, I want to ask if you can recommend me a character I should try in Tekken 8. Here's my playstyle below:

• I can do a fair amount of sidesteps
• I fight somewhat VERY aggressively if the opponent tends to taunt me with their pokes.
• I can mostly do block then followed by a simple 10+ punish and nothing else. (Launchable punish if they do a -15 attack. Usually I do that if I read their lows right.)
• I rely too much on launchables (it's my sickness, sadly.)
• Somewhat weak on low defensive on my end. But, in an opposite way, I can do well on low attacks if they can't read me on how will they block or action about it if I use it as much as I could.
• Allergic to the Mishima clans because it appears that EWGF are essential to learn. (Even Reina, which I tried but due to my slow thumb and using a controller, I cannot.)

If there's something you want to ask me before you can suggest me a character, please let me know. I want to learn more characters (while waiting for Josie. If not then it's fine, I guess?). I know for a fact that Victor is my favorite character and I'm very happy for it ever since I bought Tekken 8. But I want to learn more on other characters as well. Thanks!

I do not have my controller at the moment since i mailed it to be fixed, but would someone that is a steve main or someone who is really experienced with him be able to teach a newer tekken player how to play him? Hes the first character that gave me confidence to get into a real match even though i lost multiple times, id really like to play him

I have been playing the game since launch, never once have I had any issues with disconnects or connection to the game at all. 400 hours in and all of a sudden since yesterday evening I am just plagued with constant connection issues.... and nothing has changed, same PC, same internet connection.

The game boots up and I get a "Unable to connect to the server" error.
When I finally manage to get a connection, I try go to Ranked Match and I get a "This feature is only available in Online Mode" error, So I "Go Online" and I get another "Unable to connect to the server" error.

If on the rare occasion I restart the game enough and manage to connect and find a match, I get a timeout error when trying to rematch.

I idle on the Main Menu for more than 30 seconds ? Timeout Error !

I have tried everything I can think of: Uninstalled and re-downloaded the game, Reset my router, Restarted my PC 1000 times, Changed my DNS setttings to 3 different configs.
I am out of ideas ....

Does anyone know of a fix for this issue ?

How do I play against Leroy as Reina? Honestly, my win rate against him is 0% over many matches, and most often these are games with scores like 3-0 or 3-1. I just don't get it, I watch the replays and there are no clear punishments, only hints to duck.

Every single round against any Leroy is the same. He goes for a high attack where he punches very quickly, followed by a mid-low-mid-low-mid-low spam. When I try to duck, I get launched. When I attempt to attack, I get interrupted. If I play defensively, my health bar depletes quickly because Leroy keeps spamming low attacks. If I manage to break free, it's either a power crush or a parry. And if I go for a hell sweep, I get launched. Controlling space against Leroy is extremely challenging. What am I doing wrong?

I have this feeling that I can't even move during the match because I'll die.

And I can't use FF2 against him almost ever, only as a whiff punishment, otherwise he'll just press parry.
