First time mines ever worked this well.
Did you know she is called versaxia in the french version? whack!
And thus, destruction comith on the day number twenty three of this series. and with it comes the priestess of bahamut having absorbed the versus core. the gentle mother of the skies singularites, djeeta and gran now has become the goddess of destruction. the skies are darkened, and thus annihilation awaits. battle on singularites, show theses skies are worth fighting for! even if it means slaying thy own mother..
In gameplay, Versusia is a MASSIVE lady, with a long start up to her dash, but her buttons rival some of the best, having huge range and very good convertibality. most of versusia's special are projectiles, letting her control space or get a knock down so she can grant herself her 5u buff, which she can use at any time one of her ex special is blocked or on hit, to execute a follow up. or even during her own auto combo. as such, Versusia's combo damage is fairly high anywhere on screen, and approaching her can be tricky. in return, she isn't exactly fast without wind up, her hurtbox is fairly large and her buttons are generally a bit slower.
versusia has no patch history so huh...woops? well she had bug fixes but that's it! so i take this time to thank you all for checking up on all theses posts. we are not done, but the twilight is slowly showing it's face huh? feels a bit weird.
but anyways! what do YOU think of versusia? is she the goddess of destruction you craved? or is she just a overall mess of a being? let me know down below, stay polite and next time, i hope to see you on the parade of UTOPIA!
I seriously need help or some advices on how to play Ferry. For the record, Ferry was my main in Vanilla, thought I mostly played offline. In rising, right now, I´m at S++5 with Zooey, and S+5 with Cagliostro, Yuel and Vikala. For example, with Vikala, another zoner character, I managed to get to S+5 with relatively ease.
But with Ferry, I´m stuck at S3. And thanks to the new ranked system, because if it wasn´t for that, I will probably be A1 by now. I just can´t win with her. I feel that I am at disadvantage against almost every character, and that I have to play the perfect match or get stomped. Low health, low damage, poor defensive options, hard to master and they even can hurt me if the hit my whip! I want to try to push her to S+5, cause a seriously like this character, being one of my better characters in the gacha game, and my main in the relink. So, I summon the ghosts of other Ferry mains, or any player who can give me some advice, strategies, anything. Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone, very, very new to the game but having a lot of fun with it so far. Nier to me is a fascinating character gameplay-wise, as I don't really go into puppet characters in any other fighting game. Being able to land big juggle combos that switch between Nier's normals and Death's specials feels very rewarding, even if I can only do 2-3 real combos atm. When she has her heart stocks, knowing when to bring out Death feels like a rewarding waiting game as well, and you can make big punishes on the opponent's mistakes if you can time it right.
Now, obviously I've heard Nier is the most difficult character in the game, and since I'm a beginner, maybe that's inviting or exacerbating this problem. HOWEVER, the major problem I'm having with her is that her heart meter takes a very long time to refill. Landing the charged version of her unique button feels pretty much impossible in any real match unless your opponent lets you do it. Landing the uncharged version saves you maybe a second or so, but it's not uncommon for your recovery starting at 13 or 15 seconds. Even longer when Death happens to get hit. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if Nier on her own had a couple tools, maybe a fireball or a teleport or something like that. Turns out she has absolutely zero specials of her own. Zilch. And her normals are fine, but if you're spending over 10 seconds relying on them alone, there's a good chance you're just going to get wrecked by some combo at some point during that time.
Bottom line is it feels like I'm spending much more time on defense desperately hoping to survive in matches than I do actually planning out offense, which is by far the character's strength, and the best part of gameplay with her. This notion makes me feel as if I'm missing something major in her gameplan. Can anyone tell me what the heck I'm supposed to be doing with Nier when recovering? As of now I'm mostly just holding block and jumping around praying for my meter to refill. Is Nier a bad character? What am I doing wrong? Advice is welcome.
PS I think it's worth putting this here. I have heard that in past versions of this game, Nier was extremely broken, and pretty much every aspect of her gameplay was nerfed or reworked some 3-4 months ago. I never got to play this version of Nier, but it does beg the question of whether they nerfed her into the ground or whether I'm just bad/new at the game (or a combination of both). Do you think she'll receive any attention in the future?
By personality, I mean just how much interactions and lore they add between characters. The intros and win quotes are one thing, but even small stuff like how characters have completely different battle line depending on their opponent (Like Vira when she fights Katalina, Belial against Lucilius, Versusia against Gran & Djeeta). Even smaller things like how the line for their super changes, and even how your selected announcer reacts to different characters (my favorite one is when you pick Lucilius when you have Beelzebub as the announcer).
Even though I know nothing about Granblue, it's made me want to get into the mobile game and to learn more about the lore and characters(Relink also helped with that lol). Anyways, can't wait for Sandalphon knowing his relationship with Lucilius.
deus ex machina personified! seriously WHERE DOES SHE KEEP THAT DONUT???
Day 32 hits and that means beatrix is next! this society member is eustace work partner, and she is known as the undying blue. why? cause no matter how dire the situation, she turns the tides! which helps, as Beatrix is ten time more hot blooded than Zeta and is absoutely reckless. it's all good though, as she is contracted with the embrasque sword. a lunar automagod sealed form. the special power of the sword? or nothing. just being a SINGULARITY OF THE MOON. which, in granblue terms, means rules of the world do not apply to embrasque. good thing the sword really like beatrix huh?
in gameplay, this manifest in the clock mechanic of beatrix. when she is low on health or lands her 5U, all her ex move will put you in a TON more hit stun due to a timeslow effect. but that's not all. beatrix is equipped with very respectable normals, a unreactable low, that is a combo starter if done with clock, and very nice simple fire ball. this young woman will never stop trying! even if it means suffering all the defeats and bruises, she will cleave her way through.
in terms of patches, beatrix has the honor of the sole emergency patch. on release, she was nerfed fairly quickly, to make her 22M now being punishable on block, as it used to not...be. which was a bit silly for a nearly full screen, low profiling, projectile ignoring move huh? despite that, beatrix hasn't got many more major changes and as such, remains a VERY strong pick at high level. try to guard your knees folks!
but what do YOU think of beatrix? is she a hothead with no thoughts and that's so charming? or is she a total girlfail with nothing to redeem? let me know below, stay polite and next time..
mo-mom? destruction. rebirth.
see you all later, sky defiers!
EMBRASQUE SWORD! THE POWER OF DESSSSSSSTIIIIIIINYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
Hi I'm a f2p player that recently tried Grimnir and got to s++5 but now I'm struggling between A-S rank with gran, the problem is grimnir is not always here and I don't always get to play them but I also can't get good at any other character and I'm stuck between A1 and S5
Head's up! i hope you weren't jumping in on this post.. otherwise i am afraid to say, it's gonna be a loooot of damage-
day 3 smacks us down and we have the final knight of feendrach and lancelot best friend and absolutely nothing more, nuh huh nothing else, it is Vane! born as a simple boy, the energetic soul is the sole knight without any elemental powers to his name. no ice, no fire, no dragon blood. he's all muscle, healthy diet, training and UNRELANTING bravado in the face of danger. he is squad leader of the squad as well, so he is quite a key member of all the knights!
as for gameplay, Vane is quite unique. he is mostly a keep away character, with his defining move being energy destruction, a massive swing that deals good damage and LARGE range. he also has a unique shield that can stop any hit! tho huh..once eh. and it's not exactly free to set up. and place. and use-
still! Vane main claim to fame is DEMOLSIHING you for jumping. his anti air damage is one of the best in the game, as his massive pecs give his halbard swings massive amount of reach and knocking you to the skies. hell, he sends you so high up with his U dp, you WILL take fall damage.
patch notes wise, vane mostly got some buffs. mostly to his midscreen gorunded damage, as it used to be very poor. now granted, Vane doesn't still have top tier qualities, but he is very good at what he does! even if said thing is fairly..niche. if you are careful with your jumps, Vane can suffer to deal anything to you. most of his moves are not very safe on block either.
but what do YOU think of Vane? is he a fun, good natured man with a adrenaline rush of a play style? or is he too stalle and undercooked for you to savor him? let me know below, keep it polite and next time..we round up ANOTHER group. er..well not fully. but for now, keep healthy, sky (vice)captains!
Cygames were pretty consistent with battlepasses earlier in the games life, but they've recently slowed down a lot, only really releasing battlepasses in tandem with characters. Still, assuming Sandalphon releases in January of February, we still have enough time for a battlepass in between. Do you think we're getting one soon or just when Sandalphon releases?
So ive been playing this game for the past week. And it's really fun, and it feels like a breath of fresh air compared to other FGs that I play.
But after a week and about 20 ish hours, the only gripe i have of the game is dash L attacks. What is this necessity of making neutral easier? An advancing mid plus on block move, why is this necessary?
Heat dashes, drive rushes, roman cancels. It all just feel so unearned
Other than that, Im loving this game
Analysis complete. this is reddit. threat level, 99999999. requesting total nuking of site-
no no wait! at least let me celebrate 30 days of this series? okay? okay.. pfew. well everyone hi! today we move to the only guest character in the game (so far) and it's 2b! you know that one lady you probably seen in 20 gacha games, soul calibur and many many many more crossover? well yea! here she is! lore reason? money! for my money, i really could NOT care less for her inclusion, as Granblue has so so man characters to pick from. so going for one of the most crossovered character ever...eh... but still, i gotta live with it. it's not like she killed my dog or anything. i hope? bah whatever. she is here to stay, so let's move to her game state.
for gameplay, 2B does not play granblue. having access to a true double jump, able to whiff cancel her normals, as well as having a unique skill meter that lets her do many things. she also deosn't have a auto combo or auto combo enders, nor does she own any dash attacks. she makes up for it by having a metric tons of tools, massive crushing buttons and overall great mobility due to her dash unique.
in patch notes, 2b was always weird. i think it was a net buff for the versusia patch, as she gained the ability to combo off her throw if she set ups a certain special around you. granted, 2B never did amazing damage and that has not changed. but her buffs give most of her tools even more use cases. playing 2b means having access to a lot of things, but you must be careful as you will run out of SKL gauge and lose access to many things, including your only non super reversal. tho i guess you could try and blow up for the huh..skirt removal install? go off king/queen.
but that's just me! how do YOU feel about 2B? is she a awesome addition and hype you up to be a silent badass? or is she just too off to see in this game or in action? let me know below, stay polite and next time, we round up the knights! See you all around, sky androids!
admit it. you got hit by her jump heavy again did you not? 2BAD
I missed Battle Pass 1. Will it someday return so that i can unlock the rewards or not?
6 months ago, I posted that I had gotten every character to S rank, with Vaseraga at S+. After off and on play, I now have all but 5 characters at S+, with Belial sitting at S++. Just nice having a visual representation of skill gain, and a better understanding of all the characters. Learning to shimmy and successfully punish was a game changer. Hope everyone is enjoying their climbs!
here is to us; lucifer! or was it lucio? no wait lucy? cilius? err huh-
DAY 29! we nearly hitting a month milestone on this silly thing! but also...the end? let's not think about it! now, we talk about the astral who nearly started it all. creator of many primals and notably, Lucifer, Lucilius descent upon us. after a very convuluted plan, Lucilius only desires one thing. the grand finale. a total destruction of theses skies. armed with the literal body of Lucifer, this astral's power is beyond comprehension. bow down, for he has no equal.
in gameplay, Lucilius boast GODLY normals, and extremely potent specials. however, in retrun, lucilius skills go on cooldown no matter which version is used. upon each use of one of such skill, his unique blade level gauge rise, granting him damage and faster cooldown every level up. if i remember right, even number are cooldown speed, and uneven is damage. but still, lucilius become as such a ramp up character. altough even at level 0, he is not to be underestimated! having access to a strong projectile and teleports, lucilius always has a way to get to you.
in patch notes, Lucilius was MASSIVELY buffed. he gets his level overall faster, due to his 214 m/h grant him a full level on his gauge on hit. and cherry on top, the same move gives him a ground bounce anywhere on screen at lvl 5. it is not uncommon to see lucilius hit you with this move at max level, and kill you with absurdly high damage even in mid screen. it is quite the upgrade! some may say, even a bit much..
but what do YOU think of Lucilius? is he truly a god without equal? or is he just a pathetic man playing god? let me know down below, keep polite and next time... analysis will be complete..POD STYLE!
see you around, sky astrals!
Hi guys, a few days ago I played Vaseraga, it went well and I got to rank A+. But after that I started to go down because I had to play difficult Matchup
The question is which characters do you think counter Vaseraga, or its worst Matchup?
What bad habits do i have, what should/shouldnt i do? I am trying to learn grimnir and fighting games in general.
No not 2B. nier is nier! not nier automata!
Day 28 and we have the one who used to be the menace of this game. Misery's beloved, Nier. Born in a family of prestigious mages, Nier wanted to show how much she loved her parents. however she was neglected by them upon the birth of her way more talented younger sister, corrie. what followed was nier getting abused, discarded and used by the parents she only wanted acceptance from. upon acquiring and perfecting a terrible life sucking magic, she snapped after her parents admitted never loving her. forging a pact with Death, the primal of arcanum, Nier went on rampage, soaked in blood and those she craved love from, she choose that if this world will not accept her, she will remake it with death. create a world where she can be loved and accepted for who she is with Death.
In gameplay, Nier is the resident puppet character. she fights in tandem with death..tho it would be more accurate to say Death does the battling most of the time. Nier isn't a strong mage, but with death, she can open up people's defense and giving some tricky to find gaps in her pressure. however, it all comes at a cost. if death is hit after, on startup or during a move, she get knocked out and nier cannot summon her for a time. and a deathless nier is a very weak character. but death will come back in due time. so take advantage if you get her out of the way!
in terms of patch notes..well okay this might be the longest section of this i ever did. as i have very conflicting thoughts about all this. See, before the versusia patch in 1.50, Nier was DOMINATING the game. she had access to massive damage and extremely potent Brave counter baits and 50/50s. as such, when the versusia patch was released..Nier was destroyed. reworked completely to be nerfed. death is ko for far longer, nier stocks are depleted MUCH faster due to costing 2 per heavy or ultimate skill use, 1 per light/medium, and +2 to cancel into another skill. so if you combo 214h into 623H, it will cost 4 stocks! sure, now death stays on screen after ultimate skils and can use other skills after using a ultimate skill.. but now Nier's playstyle is a lot more defensive. slowly poking you until you are in range of a full meter+stocks dump kill combo. because if you do not, nier spends most of the match deathless. especially if death get brave countered, completely making death pressure a joke. oh and she lost her meterless reversal (which already lost to option select methods.) "Geez OP, it's like you main nier! didn't you dislike her when you made theses post last year?" i do not main her no, also ouch time flies.
i think nier was way too nerfed. it WAS the right move in terms of marketing and PR. you get players go "yo they nerfed that nier chick? i stopped the game because of her. maybe i can play again!" kind of deal. i honestly do feel bad for her players, but still. i understand why she was so nerfed, but imo it was a bit too much. is shr unplayable? no. absoultely not, but this feel like a over correction. but what do i know eh? am no game dev haha. But more than ever, please don't flame or critic players of this character or others, it's not fun for anyone.
that's enough for today haha, sorry for the rant. What do YOU think of nier? is she a adorably dangerous summoner of death? or a crybaby, total sniveling mess of a character? let me know down below, and next time...well, make sure not to lose your heads eh? see you around, sky bleeders!
Anyone..please just..ACCEPT ME! LOVE ME! i..i still have what it takes-
So let's be Frank.. I don't have a good device to play... I've i3 intel uhd620...and 12gb ram with 1tb hdd and 256gb ssd...now I ever don't know if it'll run on my pc or not...so I'm asking here.. which one will be playable if no then just tell me...or I'll lose my wallet...
Was in a match and I got DCed from the server. My wifi and everything else is fine, don't have any issues with any other steam games either
WIND BE MY SHIELD! upon my sail it blows forth, carrying my ship forward to victory, as i, hearld of wind, GRIIIIIIIMMMMNNIIIIRRRR, challenge you to a tri-..NO WAIT REDO IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THY TRIAL WAIT NO NOOHOHOO-
Alright then, with that out of the way, we start day 27! Grimnir is the mostly self proclaimed god of war, disciple of wind under raphael, primach of all winds, Grimnir is a unique primal beast. endlessly fascinated by human culture and especially their theatrics, Grimnir can usually be found being very flamboyant and well, extra. still, as a primarch angel's disciple, Grimnir is still a very potent force to deal with! when the gloves must come off, Grimnir will wield his lance to pierce the heavens, protecting the skies forever more!
in gameplay, Grimnir is equipped with simple to use buttons, but mostly relies on his gimmick of setting up Wind seals around the screen. they, in turn, allow Grimnir to dash suddenly when near one in many direction, which can make his movement incredibly hard to keep track off and overwhelming to deal with. his projectile is also very versatile, which allows him to set up pretty easily and consistently. though he is mostly known for his corner combos looping and ending in invinsible 50/50 which...yea can be quite the dowsy.
in patch notes, Grimnir was given a few buffs, like his ultimate projectile being faster and having less startup, and granting his dashing attacks more range and travel speed, which makes his dash overhead quite scary if a tornado is sitting right next to you. grimnir WAS nerfed to have his H seals set up be on longer cooldown but that really didn't stop the 50/50 huh? woops..
But what do YOU think of Grimnir? is he the perfect war god, the silly little man who gives you big smiles? or a annoying, loudmouth who really should shut it already? let me know down below, stay civil and next time we talk..
oh. oh yea..death huh?
...frick. well, see you all tommorow sky gods(self proclaimed)!
I've finally felt like I have sufficient steeze to enrol in a few tournament brackets lately, and participated in the Wall Brawl intermediate bracket yesterday (S++ rank limit). My expectations are very low, I'm just doing it for the fun and experience.
Wouldn't you know, my first round match in the bracket, the very first match of the afternoon, was broadcast live on stream. And I got the dub! Feels good man, etc.
I was eliminated a couple rounds later but I just wanted to say if you've been wondering whether you have the chops, try testing yourself in that kind of environment. You have nothing to lose, and you are incentivized to play honest and show you don't just scrub it out for the points, even if you lose. There's way less of that feeling of "goddamn (character/move I got hit by) is so cheap, I didn't deserve that L" that you get in ranked queue.
Having other people watch your gameplay and comment on it in real time is actually really cool.
