I used to play this game before, but casually (meaning once in a blue moon lol). Since they went on sale recently, I want to try it and learn the game. Now I'm trying to focus at least on one character, and it would be nice if you guys could give me a suggestion on which character to pick based on my previous game. In SF6 I usually play Ed and ken. In tekken 7 I used to play lili and steve. Thank you
p.s : I equally like the characters in gbvs, used to play the mobile version of it (dark days lol) and relink as well.
I’ve always been interested in Nier but I didn’t want to use her when she was absolutely broken. Now that she’s more on even playing field I wanna give her a try. Should I? Does she struggle too much now?
I know a lot of you are very happy with the Nier nerf, while I think she needed nerfs, she received too many nerfs.
I'll list the nerfs below, but just think about it, if any of those nerf has landed on your main it probally is enough to make you quit your main, and Nier received all of them.
Isnt ranked supposed to match me up against others at my skill lvl? I am d rank, i cant win a single match
I play whoever I like and obviously have some that caught my eye already but it's fun to know who fits my playstyle as well.
I'm extra tempted to buy the game ever since it got a discount. Been a SF enjoyer for several years and recently been having fun playing GGST with my friends, and I believe this one will definitely not be a miss.
Just downloaded the game a few hours ago and for context, my last fighting game is mashing on PSP a decade ago.
Tried watching this dude who gives beginner game plan for Gran and got greeted by a 100+ matches enemy on my 2nd rank match. I miraculously won by following the guide spamming fireballs, anti-air, keeping distance, punishes, and lastly, mashing the buttons once my hit confirmed.
With that said, I'm having trouble when the enemy just runs me down and I'm getting pushed back. I don't know what I should do since their hits starts connecting again and again and I can't maneuver myself out. If I block, I'll just get grabbed and lose.
Any helps on how to deal with this and tips on playing defensively are appreciated! Suggestions on what characters do have a defensive playstyle will also do ^^
For I did not understand your game. I tried getting Ferry to the same rank as my other characters out of curiosity >!and because i wanted to use the swimsuit mod!< and i was able to do it but man, more than any other character did it feel like such an upward climb.
It really makes me wonder what data the devs had that made them nerf her.
Yesterday, i was recommended to play Vira, i tried her on arcade mode a few times, then jumped on a lobby. I lost every single match except one, where the enemy was afk. I told to myself that they were experienced players and these result were expected, so i tried to play a few ranked matches. I lost every single match except one where the enemy was afk. I felt especially helpless when i was playing against Ferry and Cagliostro. They were too dominant and all i could do was hide behind shields, try to find an opportunity, get juggled to death. Is Vira not suitable for me? Should i try someone else? I feel really REALLY bad and disappointed on myself.
ReZENquiem mentioned that theme of Wings for second season but I have ask will it really affect the second season of DLC characters for Rising. I‘m not the biggest Granblue lore fan so I have to ask why would theme of Wings will effect second season of DLC characters and who gets pick I just want to know.
I'm trying to learn the game, but my main problem is that even though I can reliably perform inputs, I can't chain them together quickly enough to perform even basic attack combos.
Ok I was typing this in between combo attempts with Cagliostro, and somehow my rapid 623B input attempts are resulting in ars magna instead of heavy calculated, so that's another thing that's going to annoy me for a while.
And if so, how do I access it?
If it isnt, they should add it, its really good
Curious what characters you guys feel are the best infighters, the ones who are always in the opponents face and never let up on the gas. Maximum aggression, maximum closeness, maximum ability to close the gap.
In the little I've played I've found it hard to close gaps with some characters, like Ladiva, so I'm curious which ones can get through that gap and turn the game into a nasty 1 inch away scrap.
My only fighting game was melty blood type lumina, i mained akiha and saber there. Are there characters similar to those two (prefably akiha)?
I decide to choose bewteen Gbvs Rising or Sf6.
I prefer Gbvs rising but concerning about playerbases on steamchart.
Is Gbvs Rising worth to spend more than 1000 hours to become master?
I decided to try Anre, his play style seems very fun for me. Whenever I run into characters like 2B and Vikala I tend to struggle a lot though. I try to use skills like Arm the Bastion to deal with their attacks but even when I time it right I feel like.. they cut through anyway? This feels especially true against 2B.
Any advice would be appreciated. 🤗
If i win the mirror match, does that mean that i am simply the better x player than them or does it just mean that i'm better at playing ONLY the mirror match and they may be better at fighting other characters ?
What do you guys think. Ive been playing a lot of vikala mirrors and i always have the feeling that i need to prove to them that im the better vikala player or something, and its getting a bit tiring
