Im thinking of getting a Mt-03 or the mt-07, which one would be best, should I jump to the 07 as a first bike or just settle for the 03 thanks👍
Title asks my question I live in Eu. I would like to hear from owners tbh for zx4rr the tech is benefit for Yamaha torq is benefit I can’t decide which one to buy..
I currently have a 05' KLR250 with 4,500 miles & air/fuel mods done by the previous owner. I'm currently trying to get it back up and running so I can have something to ride again instead of a 3kw electric bicycle lol.
My question forward is because the kick start will eventually get to me and the newer bikes do offer more features. & I don't really have a need for dual sport or adventure bikes anymore but they do serve their own purpose. So I'd rather get 2 different bikes. I'm looking for more of a daily commuter i can ride to work 40 mi round trip on like a Z900 or MT-07. So my question is....
Should I save up for something like a Z900 SE & keep the KLR250 as a beater/off road bike?
I'm currently commuting on a Tiger 850 Sport. Put somewhere around 7-10k miles annual on it. Basically just commuting, I don't do pleasure rides or anything.
I've been eyeballing the Honda though, getting stuck in traffic and riding the clutch for an hour sucks, and I frequently daydream about the twist and go option.
Trade, looking at various values, would probably be fairly flat - pay a bit out of pocket for a 2024 Honda or get paid a few bucks for a used one.
Statistically I'll be doing one major service annually due to miles. Probably tires every 1-2 years.
Pro Honda: DCT, and I could do the service myself Con Honda: Less power
Pro Tiger: more power, love the bike in general Con tiger: Service requirements are mostly work I am not comfortable doing myself, and cost 500-1000.
Wash: MPG - I get about 50 on the Tiger, Honda projects 60, Tiger has a bigger tank so functional ride distance is bigger Wash: Frunk - yeah, it's there, but I would be putting Givi Trekkers on anyway, so eh. I might be able to use the frunk and not mount the bags Wash: Insurance rates - both are about the same, and neither is especially expensive
Not really a consideration: Off roading. I bought the tiger thinking I would get into it, but we sold our second car, so the bike went from 'fun commuter when the weather is nice, maybe try some adventuring' to 'I need this for work, can't risk breaking it'. Plus I did do some ADV riding on the tiger and felt it was a bit big and bulky - I think I'd like more of a small 300 for learning.
Overall for me, the two bikes are really equitable, just a small power difference and the huge DCT gain.

So i am about to get my license here in usa after 5 years, I have road before but that was 220cc so i wanna try heavy bikes. I really like the looks of honda cb650r and cb1000r but since i plan on going on long rides and take my bike for camping those are not my options. I have looked a lot into yamaha xsr900 as it matches whith my looks and can take it on camping as well as streets. But the range is quite short and read reviews that its not a good bike for long range. So plese suggestest me something that is very stylish for daily use on the street and can also carry bags, has long range and kinda heavy as i can't afford to keep on upgrading.
TLDR: A bike which is stylish for streets for daily commute and has long range capacity, little bit of offroad, basically can take on a motercycle camping as i plan to make vlogs on different states.
Thank you bikers
For reference there are 2004 R6 for 3800, 2007 R6s for 4500, 2017 Cbr 500r for 4000. Idk if this helps but i was just wondering if im overpaying for a 2015 one. The bike looks clean, owner is requesting 3500$.
Firstly, I do plan on taking a proper bike safety course and building up good habits, but I'm having some trouble deciding on a good starter bike. My end goal, is my father's 2000 Screamin Eagle Road Glide. I really enjoy weekend or day trips, and a touring bike is definitely more my style of bike.
Experience wise, I rode an underpowered dirt bikes at the family farm, and not much else. All said and done I haven't ridden a bike in 9-10 years and most of the riding time I do have is in a field on worn out Hondas I got to ride when we visited Montana.
So I'm looking to get something that's relatively easy to handle, but will teach me the skills I'll need to ride with confidence.
not a bobber or something like avanger plz
Thinking of upgrading my bike next year. Riding a 2010 FJR1300 now.
Considering a new gen Hayabusa or a new gen S1000XR/M1000XR.
Used for touring, and spirited riding. 230lbs, 6 feet tall.
Technically last option is keep the FJR, or get a new one.
Anyone have experience with both of these and how they compare. I started with a R1200R, now on the FJR, I'm so used to the low down torque, so, worried about the s1000xr feel. Also I understand it would be harder to get the M1000XR set with panniers for touring vs the standard S.
Thanks!
I currently have an R1200RT-P that was retired from police service at 20k miles and it is near the end of it's useful life at 153k miles. I live in the Pacific Northwet and I ride every day unless it is snowing. The RT has beebikebeebikegreat bike, so great that I want to rebuild it and keep riding. I have to wonder if there is something better out there for me. How does the Indian Challenger hold up in the rain and cold? Anyone have experience putting a lot of miles on one? I want to get a bike that will last as long as the RT has.
Thanks in advance.
Hello guys
As today, I have already asked you so many questions about my next bike. Finally, I have narrowed down the options to 2024 E-clutch CB650R or 2025 Y-AMT MT07. And now, the final question, which one?
I love the 4 cylinders of the Honda but I’m scared about the weight. I love how fast is the MT07 but at the same time I ask myself if it’s too much
Right now I drive a 125cc naked, bought because it was cheap as a first bike (insurance, price, maintenance ecc)
With both bike I’ll go with the automatic gearbox (eclutch for the Honda and Y-amt for Yamaha) because I have a pain in my left hand and the clutch is killing me in the city and the long distance, that’s why I’m not considering anything else
So… suggestions? Thanks!!
So I put a deposit down a 2023 CBR1000RR-R SP in Ottawa and I’m from Saskatchewan, and it’s an absolute gorgeous bike. But my question is this, they want 37,125 for this bike (which I can pay) but is it already too late for me to negotiate a price? Because I saw a 2022 CBR1000RR-R 30th anniversary’s edition brand new for got 28 grand in Nanaimo BC and now I’m wondering if I should call the dealership and ask them if that’s their final price.
Hello! I'm getting a motorcycle license next year, new rider in Ontario, Canada. First time sitting on a bike 2 weeks ago. Most likely the bike will be used 3x a day for work, 80km to and from. Definitely taking the backroads for few months then gradually use the hwys. 5'2 with 28" inseam.
I'm looking at 2 bikes, hoping to keep for years, atleast 3 years. 2025 Ninja 500 se krt edition - can't flat foot but can easily walk it with the ball of my foot( I was wearing flats when i sat so maybe that'll change if I wear proper footwear. ) Yamaha r3 with the white and blue color- out of stock, have to wait til January/February
Hi I'm looking for a good a2 motorcycle, I've been thinking the ninja 650 as I'm taller and heavier and I think the parallel twin is more practical than an inline four like the cbr650r. Does anyone have any recommendations for anything else, I'm only allowed up to 47bhp restrictor or not, but I still want something decently quick and comfortable, thanks
Would like to travel cross country and camp along the way.
Moving from an MT03.
want something less than 1000 and more than 650.
This is my list (have test rode these for 30mins)
cfmoto nk800
Suzuki gsx 8r or 8s
Mt09 - Test rode this but just didnt love it.
CB650R testing this weekend
Dislike the 750 Hornet
Havnt tried Trident 660
street triple to expensive
Duke 890 is interesting just hate orange
What am i missing?
I’m planning on taking a motorcycle course and I’ve been wanting to get a MT-07 as my first bike.
Dealership near me has a 2022 MT-07 with 13000km listed at $7000 CAD. Thinking I could negotiate the price a little too.
I can pay it outright but I’m more interested in doing payments for building credit.
Wondering on peoples thoughts on the listing details and if its fair or not.
Which of these two do you think would be a better commuter but also more suitable for longer rides? I honestly would pick the CBR650R hands down ( I prefer the looks and the sound of that inline 4 + the Honda reliability ). But I’m concerned that the Honda is less comfortable than the Aprilia mainly due to the clip ons. Aprilia seems to have them a little bit more wide and straight and i suppose they would make my palms hurt a little bit less. I currently have a CFmoto 450 SR-S and i have to take pretty frequent breaks due to the clip ons.
Hi guys! I recently got my full A license and i need some suggestions in choosing a bike.
A bit about my type of motorcycle i want and buget: I always loved everything related to classic/cruiser/cafe racer/chopper bikes. So i am not a superbike fanatic. My budget is around 10.000€ (including insurance, but not including gear) but i would really like to spend as less as possible and get the best bang for my buck. My choices i encountered for now:
What i want to get from this bike is to keep it as long as i can, maintenance costs reasonable and cool factor, of course. Modifications easily done from now and then (aestethic most, i do not want to faff with the engine). I am bound to test all of them in the following month.
Many thanks in advance for all the feedback!
I am hovering between Honda Rebel 500 and Honda Shadow 750 as my first bike. I am 6ft and about 210 if that matters. Which would yall recommend? Pros and Cons?
I know the general consensus tends to lean towards the 500, but just lemme land :)
I'm brand new to riding and have been looking around for a nice cruiser. I don't want to start on a sport bike, which is a shame because 40% of the listings are Ninjas! I've decided I wanna start real easy with a Honda Rebel, but I'm struggling picking one. I've only ever ridden a Harley Street 500 and for a baseline it felt pretty good all around, just a little heavy for me at 520 lbs. Nothing a few months at the gym couldn't fix, but I'm still not a big guy at 5'9" 120 lbs.
I've heard the 300 is considered more of a toy and the 500 is good to grow into, but two things put me off with the 500. The potential to get into trouble early on and the price. Around here, in good used condition it seems the 300 is about $4-5K and the 500 is $5.5-6.5K (roughly between private/dealer). Side note, I like the Kawasaki Eliminator, but I've been hard pressed to find a used one.
I know I'll be dropping and abusing the poor thing while I practice, so I'm hesitant to spend a whole lot on my first, but ideally I don't want to outgrow the bike in just a few months. Bonus points if you know of a similar cruiser I could look for (300-500cc ~400 lbs). Thanks!!
PS: I don't want a Harley!
