Just bought a bike. Now I have someone wanting to trade for a mint 2020 CB650R. I don’t need it.. she’s sexy though. Talk me down please! 🫡🤘
Hi there, Got rid of my 2003 VTX1800C last year. 100k mile bike and I loved it. Looking to upgrade but want to keep the cruiser style. I'm 6'4" and 260lbs so bikes like the sportster are a no go even with forward controls (I'm 70% legs lol).
Not looking to buy a brand new bike or spend a fortune. However, I'm super particular unfortunalty. Was wanting to get some recommendations for a replacement cruise that's around 100hp 100+ tq like the VTX but something that has cruise control and ABS. Also something with no faring on the front or if it does have a faring or windshield I'd like something that's removable. Just don't really know what to look for other than Harley Fatboys or something. Let me know what y'all are thinking, thanks.
Hey guys, I've got a bit of a question regarding clutch lines. I came across a market listing for a 1998 Honda Super Hawk 996, selling for $1500, 10,000 miles, clean title, gorgeous purple. I spoke with the owner, and found the only issues to be needing a new rear tire shortly, and needing a clutch line. Tire is no problem, but the clutch line I have a question about. Being such a good deal I don't want to have to order the line online and wait and risk missing out on the buy, seeing as I have absolutely no way to get it home besides riding it. So I wanted to shop around for lines with the same banjo/bolt sizes. But what I can't seem to find is if that's okay to do, and if so, does the length of the line matter? Or is it fine as long as it reaches and doesn't pull the handlebar?
Hello, I'm just looking to see if anyone in Canada has purchased anything from Motostorm.it. I want to get an Arrow slip on for my Ducati SFV2, and they have a good price and 60 dollar shipping to Canada. If you've used them please share your experience with them. Thanks in advance
I know y’all know who I am. Caused quite the controversy over my posts in this subreddit. Walked today for the first time since my accident. Just excited, say what you want. Thank you to y’all who had something constructive (good or bad) to say
Hellu^^ The last couple of years I’ve gotten really into motorcycles. My brother has had a few for some years now, family members have had bikes, my dad is interested in getting one as well and my youngest brother is getting one as soon as he turns 16. I’ve also been getting stuff on my insta and YouTube feed, looking at bikes being sold, envying the bikes I park my moped next to lmao. I am currently saving up to take the licence and maybe get myself one in about 2 years ish(I’m a full time student living in another city). But I would love to build my knowledge in the meantime. I love to watch the “how it’s made” videos and have found some. If y’all have any tips on where to find videos repairing, building, fixing up, etc I would love to know. Or just how you guys get information/knowledge
Instead of pulling the clutch and applying throttle everytime which I’m slow at. I’ve seen videos of people going down to 1st from 6th gear and doing it in 3 seconds
Found a cbr125r that was extremely cheap, got it as a beater bike to practice stunts on, it runs really well but I can’t get it up very high when I practice high rpm wheelies. What should I modify on it to get extra torque and do decent wheelies with it? I’m not very experienced with the mechanical parts of motorcycles lol
Getting up to 70 degrees - a nice vacation from freezing temps!
It's a Honda Varadero 125, it's in pristine condition, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me.
I'm having a hard time deciding. I'll be commuting a lot on highways since that's my only route to work. The Ninja 650 seems like a well-loved beginner option. On the other hand, the R7 looks appealing but might be more aggressive in riding posture. I'd appreciate your thoughts on these models, especially if you've owned one — how was your experience?
Hey, so I'm gonna start off by saying I don't know a whole lot about mechanical things, so I apologize. I have a 1987 Honda Shadow vt700 that won't start. When I purchased it it ran. Now it's lucky if it starts while spraying starter fluid in the intake. I did notice that the choke plungers looked bad so I replaced them and it started running again, but the next day it wasn't starting again. I've looked in the carbs (v-twin) and I don't think they are dirty but I've not taken them 100% apart. Part of me thinks fuel pump because it doesn't sound like it's turning on all the time when I hit the run button. Any ideas?
For example when stopped in traffic do you have both legs down or only left leg down?
Is the only time you should have the left leg down is when using the rear brakes?
I ask this since there’s a lot of torque on first gear and i feel like I have to baby the throttle
Get it rolling on first gear then shift to second gear?
how soon do you shift to second gear?
What, in your opinion, is the most reliable motorcycle in history?
Which bike was unstoppable? Which bike required the least maintenance and could go and go and take the harshest terrain and the worst conditions and keep asking for more?
I was hoping y’all wouldn’t mind giving me some tips, advice and personal experience on a long trip. I live in Texas and planning on going up to HD Daytona Bike Week. It about 17 hours away. Ive been riding for about 4 months now and feel very comfortable on my bike just don’t wanna be too overconfident and possibly ruin a fun ride and time.
Bike has 16k miles and is a clean title. Seller is asking 3,000$
Tried to start the bike, turn the key and no electrical power anywhere, started to disconnect the ground wire bolt, everything came on and flickered, started to re-tighten it and it turned off again, any ideas or suggestions?
So i have a fairing kit for my FZ6R but I am missing a key piece that holds everything together. It attaches to the frame and holds up the gauge and headlight. I got this screenshot from a YouTube video of a guy replacing the headlight but I cannot find the part number for the life of me. Any help would be appreciated.
