Hey guys I have my heart set on an S2k for the next car I wanna slam like -15 camber or something like that.
Anyways these things are not cheap, even a high mileage salvaged go for no less than 12k (at least in California). Additionally, I’d hate to “ruin” a clean title one. I won’t lie, I do like how they look stock.
What are everyone’s thoughts on buying a salvaged one? A lot of the salvaged ones in my area do look nice externally. I posted about one on the s2k sub but they’re recommending I spend a few extra grand on a clean title one so it’ll hold value and won’t be a headache down the line. I didn’t wanna tell them my plans because I doubt they’d give me any sound advice.
Thanks
I had bought this car for a daily but I stated to lean twords a stance build with it. All I can find is 4” lowering coils and hardly any camber parts. I don’t want any crazy camber just wanna be able to get some good fitment. What are talks setups?
Slammed
We have some CCW wheels, 15 inch overall diameter and an actual face being 13 inch diameter.
I am having a hell of a time trying to find a step lip solution that will be able to step it up to a 16 inch. As much as I love 15s, the bags will not let it sit low enough to achieve the fitment I want :/
Any places I should try to look or manufactures to contact to try and find these parts? Lip width does not matter at this point, I’m primarily focusing on if the 13-16 is even possible
Just sold my weak spec wheels and lowered my wrx a lot more. Rolling fenders and tossing on some 18x9.5+22 wheels next, only thing I’m still undecided on are tires. I know I want to run a 215 (decent stretch) but I’m unsure about sidewall. I’d say about 60% of the cars I see with these specs run 215/35 and 40% run 215/40. Although the 35 sidewall looks a bit better this is my daily so I don’t want to have awful ride quality (which I know sounds ironic because the cars gonna be on the floor). I’m in nj and the roads are pretty bad so I’m concerned the 35 sidewall will be way too rough. Any thoughts on what I should go with or experience with similar specs?
I luckily retrieved the piece so it’s fixable but damn
