So I came across this listing for rent and ended up going down an unexpected rabbit hole about this house. Not gonna lie, I can't sleep now thinking about it.
There was a deceased person discovered there a few months ago. Don't want to list the address, but you can Google.
As I looked further, I found some vague references about something occurring there in the late 60s/ early 70s. Just wondering if anyone who grew up in that area knows more about it.
I live in Mira Mesa, and I keep hearing/seeing fireworks. Is today a special day, or is there a celebration maybe I don't know of?
Hey all, I am in grad school at ucsd and taking a break this quarter. I am not sure if this group allows this but I am trying to find people who need a little help in their Math class. I can give private lessons and we can also work on your assignments together. I am willing to do this for free or a meal.
If interested, send me a chat with some details about you and the class you want help with.
It’s a GA Lawn pass with parking. I’m meant to be going with my husband but he’s got the rona, I only want to see The Hu so feel a bit weird dragging someone along with me and worried about making other people sick. Therefore i’m happy to give this ticket away for free if anyone wants it? Oh it’s in the North Island Amphitheater.
EDIT: It’s gone now! Thanks ☺️
Hi guys! Does anyone have a promo/coupon code for the Haunted Trails at Balboa park? Thanks so much!
hey, what’s the best place for all-you-can-eat brunch and bottomless mimosas on the weekends around la jolla/san diego?
Selling a ticket to the above show for tonight at Soma. $40 is what I’m asking but flexible if needed. I woke up sick so can’t make it sadly.
$50 OBO can transfer to you through ticketmaster
Can anyone clarify what is or isn't happening with AT&T landlines? I thought they were phasing them out in California, but now see that the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) ruled they cannot.
We got an email advertisement from Community Phone, offering to be our new landline provider. It says "Landline providers in California are raising rates and cutting the quality of their services as they prepare to end traditional landline service." That's a really vague statement.
A loved one is currently experiencing severe pain from a large mass in their throat. We are desperately seeking someone who can point us to a doctor ASAP to get this mass (possibly a tumor) biopsied and removed. Time is not on our side - especially upsetting today is Friday and most offices are closed over the weekend.
It's been an extremely long and difficult process navigating this through the insurance company. I feel at this point we would take any necessary measures beyond the price point as time is not on our side. We need to have this removed as soon as possible. Does anyone know of someone who can help out or point us in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate any tips or recommendations. Thank you!
It is Thursday night, I'm having a beer, I wish it was Friday. What are you doing this weekend?
This weekend (like every weekend) I'm coaching soccer then looking for fun stuff to do in the evening. Let's hang out!
Post interesting stuff going on around town. If you want to be featured up here or think an event should get some extra love please let me know and I'll put it in the top post.
LOVE ISN'T BLIND:
Because the creator is super nice we have a discount code for LOVE ISN'T BLIND which I'll be going to October 11 and I hope to see you guys there. /u/agold_ is the host and she's super funny. It's a comedy dating show that's geared toward audience participation and getting people to chat/make friends after the show. She has a new and nice venue for it this time around at The Guild Hotel downtown.
Let me know if you're going. I'd love to say hi. :)

This crow attacked a neighbor's car for almost 2 hours today. I could hear the tapping from my place across the alley. I went outside to get a close inspection and the crow flew off. Then it came back, to the same car! And continued it's assault on this car roof. I don't know the owner of the car, but I feel bad for them. The car looks fairly new and this crow was relentless. I got an Alfred Hitchcock vibe from the crow.
I haven’t lived in Carlsbad that long. My son (23 years old ) has a friend coming in from out of town for Saturday around lunch and all Saturday evening. We 2 old people (62) and 23years old) we would all like to do something together any suggestions.?

I’m not a zonie because I live on the california side of the border but I feel like i’m in arizona. Where I live jobs are impossible to come across. I’m about 1 1/2 to 2 hours away from San Diego. So round trip is 3+ hours. I’m in the process of receiving an offer from MTS for a Train Operator at $27/ hour. It is 30+ hours a week. No benefits.
I drive a pretty fuel efficient car (old honda civic) so gas and maintenance aren’t an issue for me for now. I have friends I could potentially crash with in san diego if I had a day where I can’t commute back home for whatever reason. Is it worth taking this position?
This may be a long shot. Does anyone know what road this is?
Hi, i’m currently trying to decide between transferring to USD or SDSU from a community college for a business degree, in accounting. I’m a veteran so tuition cost isn’t an issue, and I am not interested in the typical college experience. I just want to get my degree as soon as possible and move on with my life. I read online that USD graduates have a higher starting salary rather than SDSU graduates. is this true? does one school hold more value than the other in a resume? does one offer more online courses than the other? I like to do majority of my classes online as I work full time. what do you guys think?
I always avoided this street because it had so many potholes. Randomly went down it today and realized it’s all nice and smooth now.
Miramar Rd next? lol
College GameDay is coming to my school this Saturday and was thinking of showing up with a beat LA sign to show support to my hometown. Was wondering if anyone is familiar with sign etiquette would it be like distasteful or something??
