Ok, let’s wipe our memories after … whatever that was. I know your confidence might not be brimming after Sparty hitting a billion threes, but we are actually in pretty good position. By the skin of our teeth, but still.
14-5 overall, 7-3 in conference, NET 44
So what gets us there?
I’m thinking closing the regular season 7-3 with no Q4 losses and reaching the semis in Vegas at least puts us in Dayton. Which, given what a transition year we all expected this to be, would be an accomplishment.
Forgot you can upload video directly to Reddit so for those of you who don’t want to click a random link from some dude on the internet here’s the 8 bit fight song without having to go anywhere else.
Spent a few days going over the sheet music graciously provided by r/spud2599 and I think I came up with an arrangement that works for my 2025 season Calgorithm project.
Reddit doesn’t like my file sharing URL, so to make it work, take this url at the bottom but just add an https:// in front of it and replace “you” with a “u”. Feel free to share with whoever, and if anyone wants the actual working GarageBand file I can make that available as well. I think the link will stay live for 30 days or something. Go Bears, Go Aztecs.

Unless I'm missing a player, we have:
Bert Emanuel from Central Michigan with 43 pass attempts last two years (and 78 rush attempts).
Jayden Denegal from Michigan with 5 pass attempts last two years.
Kyle Crum with 0 pass attempts last two years.
True freshman JP Mialovski.
Am I missing someone? Or are we praying to the Aztec gods that Denegal is the guy? Or running an option offense with Emanuel?
Edit to add: O'Neil transferred to Wisconsin. Toupouata-Johnson transferred to North Dakota. Duffy transferred to a D2.
It's okay, we have Dutch to navigate the rough waters w/this young team
We have a program (although today was shit show at 5k+ elevation w/a bunch of freshman & sophomores - next year they'll be better prepared)
Lobos played well. But in Dutch we trust
Hey all, Cal fan coming in piece. I’m a member of the Calgorithm and I’m working on a project involving all of our 2025 opponents. Does anyone on here have or know someone who has an 8 bit version of your fight song I could have ? It’s OG NES themed and I’m incorporating all the songs but a lot of them have been hard to come by and so I’m reaching out to individual online communities.
SDSU on here. Zach Wilson's brother https://bvmsports.com/2024/12/09/isaac-wilson-transferring-5-possible-landing-spots/
Well... Mercifully, it has come to an end.
How'd you all feel about Year 1 in the Sean Lewis era? Anything worth taking away from this year?
Marquez Cooper was fun.
But jeez, the most fun game of the year was a loss... Almost taking down Wazzu could've turned it around.
Year for the dumpster. but here's hoping Lewis has a different approach to recruiting and actually tries to... recruit.
Hi all,
I'm a 30yo sport obsessed Australian who moved from Melbourne to San Diego in June. I noticed SDSU have Gonzaga tonight and thought it'd be worth going along - we don't have college sport in Aus, so excited to get a feel for it. Any recommendations for good seats to get the atmosphere? Hard to know what area would be good to book on Vivid etc.
Thankyou!
I posted here almost a year ago about an app I was building to make it easier for us to track former athletes from our favorite schools in the pros. The app sends a daily email update with stats from these players. I am on version 2 now. Would love any thoughts as I try to improve it. Thanks!: https://www.fandaily.io/schools/san-diego-state
Noticed on Vivid Seats that a good number of tickets are selling for $55-100 (in addition to ones selling for more than that). If the crowd today is 10k short of capacity like the last game, I won't understand why some of the tickets weren't brought down to $30 or less to recoup something. Maybe I'm missing something in regards to how the resale market works.
Our recommended next moves for the Pac-12 would be to add Texas State; and then Gonzaga and Saint Mary's as non-football schools that would deliver the Pac-12 value as a top basketball conference.
The Pac-12 has grown to 7 full members with yesterday's addition of Utah State.
