I'm considering a move to Sacramento from Phoenix and would like to search Trulia for homes near or bikeable to a light rail station. So far 95822 comes up. Can anyone recommend other zipcodes that would work for this?
Hi all,
I'm in Rancho Cordova.
Last night we passed out candy, our house is beetlejuice themed so we have a giant sandworm in the front yard, and I was dressed as the lady cut in half, passing candy out on my fake cardboard couch xD. A bunch of people got pictures and videos and I have no idea how to begin looking. I checked nextdoor (lol that was a mistake) and haven't seen any posts.
I don't have social media (facebook, instagram, etc), just reddit. How can I find pictures people too of our house/costumes from Halloween?
If anyone on here sees photos of our house around the socials, please share them!
Here's pics of our yard for context Pic 1, Pic 2. Pic 3, Pic 4
As a single 29M still living in Antelope, life can get quite boring and I love to make my escapes to arcades on weekends.
I just wanted to ask everyone in this group what their favorite arcade in the 916 is.
We will be in Sacramento for a few days while we wait for our RV to be fixed and are looking for things to do! We're generally outdoorsy people but are not handling the cold very well so maybe some indoor climbing, fun activities, and/ or fun bars?
I have a 2014 Kia Soul with the ignition update. A couple days ago, Kia Boyz tried to steal it anyway. They ended up destroying the ignition/steering column. The dealership will fix it for $2k, but they don't have an opening until December.
Anyone know of a mechanic in the Sacramento area who can fix a foiled Kia Boyz theft attempt sooner than December? And for a price better than $2k?
I'm positive there have been plenty of other people in the same situation.
I 25F have been in San Francisco for about a year and have decided it is not the place for me. What I dislike is the weather (cold, windy), the “city-ness” of it, hilly terrain, and high cost of living. I was thinking what city might be good for me to try moving to. Sacramento seems to be high on my list, especially because it’s large enough but still close to my family who are in the East Bay.
I’m wondering what people would recommend I do/try when my Mom and I come visit for a day or two. I’ve never been besides driving through, but I’ve heard lots of good things. Just want to get a feel for the city. Thank you!

So, another neighbor and I just caught some guy lighting a piece of garbage (looked like napkins or something) trying to stoke a fire on a pile of leaves in the gutter directly in front of apartments. 🙄 They began to smolder for a brief moment, but thankfully were too damp. We chased him away, made sure there was nothing left smoldering, and I made a report. Stay vigilant if you're in the immediate area, I guess. Guy headed south on 26th St. White guy, very disheveled, black jacket, black pants pretty much around his ankles as he bent over/walked away.
Edit: this was very clearly an arson attempt, fwiw.
Last minute hoping to race CIM and seeking a bib. Happy to venmo fees + a thank you extra. Pls lmk!!
Highly unlikely but has anyone found a ring in Sacramento by the Peet’s in Fair Oaks? I lost my engagement ring and my heart is in pieces right now. Additionally any suggestions would be helpful. I’ve checked pawn shops, Craigslist, etc. I’m a mess.
Hello, any cool places in Sacramento that have “fall” vibes such as fall trees etc. Thanks!
Hello, just wondering if we need to register and pay for our one year old if we’re planning on bringing him in a stroller.
Our neighborhood isn't the best, there's no street lights, no speed bumps and, no shade, sometimes no candy... but you made my daughters night tonight recognizing her as Pandy Paws, and made my night letting me know your house was also a Gabby House.
It's not about the candy, it's about the spirit, esespecially in an area that can use more of it, so thank you and happy Pandyween.
What the fuck was that $90 fee on my checking account? Anyone else had this issue?
So I work with youth who are looking for great healthy coping skills. I can’t give specifics of the program but, bakers, makers, makeup FX all things that can sew seeds of hope for the future. Shout out if you wanna donate some space and time.
Twice tonight kids knocked on my door. I don’t have candy bc why are they trick or treating in this dark ass apartment complex? When my son was little we walked over to the nice houses that had decorations up. I grew up in the Heights and my parents always took us to Natomas. And when we moved to Natomas we went to an even nicer newer part. When I lived near Oak Park I took my son to Land Park. I thought I was just what people did if you don’t live in a nicer area. Lots of decorated houses and street light is the sweet spot. Was that just my family and friends? You go to a better neighborhoods to get the best and most candy. That’s the most important part of Halloween. Period. I’m kinda annoyed at these parents are wasting time having the kids running around here. This is a dead zone. My parents would never.
Hey y’all,
I’m looking for a really good specialist with therapy who may have provided you with ADHD medication and/or therapy resources? Does anyone in the Sacramento area have good experiences?
