About the group
Founded in 2022, Introverts of Sacramento has had more than thirty successful public meetups at various local businesses. It was founded to encourage introverts to socialize. It filled a need post-pandemic and will be sustained with your participation. New connections were made, drinks had, and good times abound.
About myself
They call me Perkins, or at least most do. Ever since high school when there were one too many Michaels in the class. I do a double take whenever I get called by my first name. I joined the Introverts of Sacramento meetups at #3 and began organizing them at #5. I’m an INTP through and through, which odd that I’m organizing meetups, but I must enjoy it if I keep doing it (right?). At least enough to step out of my comfort zone, and I hope you do too. Because these events aren’t for me, they’re for you.

One of the most frequent requests for the Introverts of Sacramento is for a non-alcoholic meetup; when Anneli of Rumpelstiltskin Yarn proposed a collaboration for an Arts & Crafts Meetup, it seemed like a perfect match for our first Arts & Crafts meetup. It was such a success that we were invited for a followup 😊, next Sunday February 9th at Rumpelstiltskin Yarn from 1pm - 3pm.
If you already engage in knitting, crocheting, or any other portable craft, please bring your current project with you. For those who are not currently crafters, Rumpelstiltskin Yarn will provide a selection of activities for you to try. Alternatively, you are welcome to join us simply to socialize.
Arts & Crafts not your jam? We've got you covered, checkout our February main meetup here.

My family left Sacramento in Summer 2022 to care for my mother, and we're probably coming back this summer. I haven't kept track of Sac happenings in the last few years, anyone care to share some highlights?
Hey all! I have a senior dog who had a dental exam, and needs a cleaning and mostly likely 2 extractions. Any good vets you know in El Dorado County that are decently priced and that you trust? Thank you!
Hey everyone! I’m looking to get a tiramisu cake for tomorrow. Does anyone know a good bakery or store that has fresh tiramisu cakes available on short notice? Recommendations are much appreciated!
Found a small curly-haired sweetie running around alone outside. I believe it’s a female, and other than being dirty, wet, and cold, seems to be fine. There’s a collar but no tag.
A) Is anyone missing a dog? B) Where do I take this dog to check for microchip? We have three cats and I can’t keep it.
Thank you!
Home centers don’t have it yet for the season, and other sellers I’ve found online have minimums of ~500sq ft.
I only need a few rolls.
This drama occurred just out back of my house on the River just a couple miles north of downtown. I saw a sea lion swimming so I put a drone up to go take a look and found him just as he caught a big striper!

Imo, I think it is. Hotdogger in Davis is good too, but well, that’s Davis.
Does anyone know if there are any groups that do shuttles to Sugarbowl from Sacramento? I think I saw Dave Ross has a shuttle but nothing seems scheduled...I would be interested in joining a group of folks in the area that carpool together. Thanks in advance
There’s a popular hair stylist in the area who I briefly dated in 2010. He had craaaazy alcoholic outbursts and then tried to kill my cat. I even called and told his mom and sister and they said yeah he needs anger management. A year or so later he beat the shit out of the girl he was in a relationship with, split her forehead open and broke some of her teeth and nose. Me and her became friends after that because I reached out to her and told her I should have warned her about him based on what he tried to do to me previously and just his general anger issues, but I figured she would tell me I’m crazy so I didn’t do it.
He’s a hair stylist and his entire clientele are more the alternative style cuts for women and some men. I’ve tried to tell people in the past about this guy but nobody seemed to give much of a shit. I don’t want to directly name and shame but just the fact that he’s out there makes me sick.
I've read that other folks are anticipating by ordering their refills and saving money now. But wondering what will impact the city and residents? What did we see in other years? Obviously, this time will be a different one, with it being used to dismantle more of the federal gov't. Lots of roadwork is funded by federal hwy administration. Could any of that work stop? What about levee strengthening done by Army Corps of Engineers?
Now that Party City is closed, where is everyone buying party supplies? This month I’ll be hosting a superbowl party and a birthday party. Are we just using Amazon now?
Correction: BEST TASTE FOR THE VALUE PIZZA. This could be biased but I have a obsession with Delish Pizza. If you guys haven't heard of it it's a family owned business. Has really good promotions and a lot of fresh high-quality ingredients. I would definitely check it out. Make sure to ask for a promotion list before you order. They have some really good deals.
I moved to downtown Sacramento in October and my pets have been struggling with fleas ever since. I give them medication and use Vets Best Flea and Tick spray in the house but haven’t had any luck minimizing the fleas. Any advice from fellow pet owners in the area?
Were any of yall at the Danae Hays show last night (1/31) at the Crest? If so, I cannot remember the name of the show or movie her dad recommended. She told a joke about it not being appropriate to watch on a flight. We want to watch it hahaha Help!
im 17 and im always bored was just looking for hangout buds maybe people who play instruments or something 😓
I have a former coworker who's been in a shifty relationship. She's out now, but finally admitted she's lonely which I totally get.
I now live live out of the area, am not in her age group and no one from our former work group is.
Listen, I'm always here for my friends but sometimes this lady just wants to watch a movie with a buddy, grab a coffee...you know, normal socializing.
Outside of work (or bars, church, the bus...) what would you recommend I help her with? I was thinking Bumble since that's for friends, but she's in her 60s and don't wanna do the corporate millennial "Download the App![Trademark Pending per McDonald's LLC]"
Hi, I’m looking to have a micro wedding sometime this year. I’m looking for a venue that accommodates up to 50 people and that has rooms where folks can stay on site – only about 10 people staying on site though so I don’t need it for everyone. My ideal venue would be somewhere that feels very intimate and almost like a home or a ranch house but I’m looking for any suggestions and I’m open to anything!! my budget is around 10k but is flexible and could go up if needed. Any good suggestions?
I’m 19F wondering if there is any social clubs like chess , book , or activity clubs in Sacramento?
Hello, where can I get the best Turkish breakfast experience in Sacramento? Willing to drive up to 2 hours as well for the experience. Just can’t afford to go to Turkey, so don’t say that!
Hey Ya’ll,
I had a cat passed this last week and I really want to get a crochet version of her. I went to the farmers market today but did not see any crochet vendors this time. Is there anyone on here that would be able to do this or recommend a shop? Thank you!
Really hoping to shop local before going online.
does anyone know if there’s a sub for gluten free places to eat in sac? and if not, are there any good gluten free places you guys could share here (besides pushkins)?
Where do Sacramento's influencers and power players socialize—gyms, restaurants, or other third places?
I'm considering moving to Sac and commuting to the Bay Area (Midtown Sac -- San Jose as an example of distance), I have to show up 2-3x a week. I know many people do it and was curious to hear your perspective, stories, how it's impacted your life. Is it sustainable?
I'm doing this for saving on rent and potentially buying a home in the next few years.
EDIT: thanks folks, looks like based on all the responses, its a bad idea.
