Current lease ends on Dec 31st. I can easily afford to rent my own 1bd/1ba but would prefer to save money if I can find a room in a clean house with some clean roommates. It should be underlined that I would prefer a private bathroom. I’m willing to pay anywhere between $900-$1100 in rent. If you think I would be a good fit for your roommate situation, dm me and let’s set up a meeting.
I'm on the search to live closer to my child I'm currently in the oak park region but would like a place closer to them.
Hi there!
I’m trying to see if any of you have any advice/tips on applying for low income apartments in Sacramento. Is there an actual application I need to fill out or do I just need to find apartments that qualify as low income? I make under $34,000 a year, not sure that would qualify as low income? Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!
🔎 My gf and I are looking for one roommate (no couples) to live with us and our kitty in our 2 bedroom/1 bath duplex conveniently located in midtown (close to the Co-op and Temple Coffee on S street, a light rail station, and all major freeways). My gf is in PA school and studies a lot at home and at school, and I work part-time for the library and for myself as a mobile music therapist.
🏠 Rent is $850/month (includes internet) plus utilities which range from $100 -160/mo total for the whole household (SMUD only) and will be split evenly amongst all 3 of us. The room is approx. 10x10ft. (unfurnished) and the apt has central air and heat. The rest of the apartment is fully furnished. The washer/dryer is accessible from outside on the bottom level. The fireplace is functional and you’re definitely welcome to use! You will have a guaranteed parking spot in a gated space right outside. There’s also a cute little patio upstairs and small garden area available for use downstairs.
⚠️ Our unit is upstairs. No additional pets please as our kitty unfortunately does not get along with other animals (but does love cuddling with anyone who has a cozy blanket). You will be asked to share landlord references and proof of income for the past year.
🚭 No smoking.

Hi guys I’m trying to move out and I was wondering if anyone wanted to take over my lease at capital towers on 5th street dm me for more information.
Thinking of moving from the bay to sac in a few months, what neighborhoods do you recommend with a low budget and hopefully away from a high crime area?
I may possibly get my first full time job in Sacramento, no promise yet, and so I will need to move up to the city.
I currently live in the East bay of the SF Bay Area so it’s a 70-80 mile drive from where I am.
The office of the company I would work at is in the Natomas Crossing area of the city.
I think my take home if I received an offer would be around 65-70k annually. I have a car paid off, and no student loans from school, and no expenses currently besides grocery and car insurance since I live at home.
What are the most affordable areas of Sacramento to live in which are also safe?
I signed a 2 year lease agreement in '23 now my landlord is raising the rent due to increased utilities. They sent a revised lease agreement which no longer is a 2 year but month to month. Should I address that I signed a 2 year with a agreement of x amounts and not sign the new month to month?
Room available for move in! Looking for a third roommate to move in starting first week of December. SINGLE OCCUPANCY, NO KIDS, NO PETS. NO SMOKING.
Unfurnished room for rent with PRIVATE bathroom in a 4b 3ba house in Natomas. Male occupant preferred.
Rent is $900 + utilities. Includes parking spot in the garage.
House as of now is unfurnished. We are in the process of moving in but we can offer a tour anytime. House is located 5 minutes away from the Costco Natomas and the Promenade shopping Center.
Who is living in this household?
Two guys in their late 20’s who work from home. NO DRAMA. We have set rules and all the house chores are divided evenly amongst all occupants (us two and possibly you!). No pets as we already have a well-trained super friendly dog in the house (last picture).
IF INTERESTED: please reach out via direct message and share some information about you. Name, age, occupation, monthly income, and a general description of who you are and what to expect from you as a roommate.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.Thank you.

Hello,
A big thanks to everyone who helped with tips on finding a place in Sacramento – I finally signed a lease and am ready to pick up the keys!
The home-hunting journey wasn’t easy, and even after that, figuring out rental insurance was another adventure. Many of you mentioned it should cost around $10–$12 per month, but when I checked Lemonade (a common recommendation), I was quoted over $24. I kept searching and came across a website called Safe Butler, which claimed to offer affordable insurance starting at $5. I gave it a try, and it directed me back to Lemonade but with a new quote of just $11 per month. Not sure what changed, but it worked out in my favor! I double-checked to make sure Safe Butler was legit, and it’s all good. Not promoting it, but it might be helpful for anyone else on a similar search.
Now, I’d love any suggestions for reliable internet providers in Midtown and must-do’s for settling in. It’s my first time moving out solo, so all tips are welcome!
Thanks again! 😊

Hi all, I am a 26 year old Male currently working in Sacramento. This might be pretty early to put this up but I'm looking for roommates to find a place starting Jan 2025 in Midtown/Downtown. Hi all,
I just got a new job in Sacramento and was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to find affordable apartments (maybe around $1500 or less?). The job is hybrid but I thought it would be better to move rather than book a hotel every time I go. It’ll just be me so I’m okay with a studio. Also open to other advice!

Hi! I’ve been in Sacramento for two years now, and am looking for a place to finally settle in. I’ve been renting rooms currently but don’t enjoy the dynamic of not being at least friendly/social with the people I live with.
Ideally I’m looking for my own space, but would also love to find people around my age range with similar hobbies to maybe get a place together!
Ideally trying to stay under $1500/Month
About me: 26, ‘elder’ emo, I love board games, concerts, horror movies and baking/cooking!
How much does it cost to build a 1600ft (3 bedroom 2 bath large great room/kitchen) home in Fair Oaks, Ca.? Rough number of course..
So I have no car, no money for a bus pass, and no one that is available to take me to these places to get the access codes, but I need the codes for Alder Grove & Marina Vista so that I can apply and get on their waiting lists. Does anyone happen to have them?
Any leads on a 1br that allows cats in the greater sacramento area for around $1500/month or less? Thanks!!
Hi all, I'm looking for housing options for my brother. He's currently under custodial care of the state and recently got into a pretty serious accident. I'm out of state and am not able to house him.
I'm looking for temporary options for when he's in outpatient. Any recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks in advanced.
Hey everyone, I will be coming to Sacramento in a week and I was wondering which area/neighbourhood of Sacramento is great for a family of 3. We are new to Sacramento and don’t really know the city. We prefer to be in an area where neighbourhood facilities are within walking distance (or 5-10mins by car). Rent to be around 1.3-1.8k for one bedroom (or two), we do not have any credit score history since we are new. But we have someone who is willing to be a co-signer.
Edit: I forgot to mention we are middle eastern, so we would prefer to be around halal restaurants if there is any mosques too nearby!

I'm 19, I go to college in Sac, and am looking to move out in December/January, but I know my chances are pretty low because I've looked at countless apartments and pretty much everywhere requires income that's 2-3 times the rent amount, paystubs from past months and/or a positive credit history, all of which I don't have right now. I'm in a very controlling household, hence the wanting to move out, and because of my home situation I literally cannot get a job or a credit card. I don't even have my license or a car, I have my permit though so there's that and that was such a hassle to get, it took probably almost two years 😭😭 Without getting into detail, I genuinely just cannot do any of those things while I'm in my current home situation.
I know my chances are really low and my boyfriend has offered to let me stay with him and his family if it comes down to me not having anywhere else to go, which I appreciate very much but that is my last resort option because I don't wanna cause problems or be a burden to them. If I can somehow manage to find a place that will take me despite my lack of pretty much everything, it will be 100x easier for me to start working to find a job, get my credit card, license, and car because I won't be so crazy restricted anymore.
I have over $13,000 saved and am expecting at least another $7,000 this year, but from what I've heard from talking to people and apartment managements is that they can't/don't take savings, they need paystubs or proof of income. One apartment manager I talked to said I could have a million in cash but if I don't have an income, they can't rent out to me. I can't get a job right now but I have been looking and will start submitting applications next month so I can hopefully have one ready to go if I move out in December/January.
So basically, is there anywhere that would take me despite not having anything at all other than savings 😭 if I explained my situation would that help? I'm desperate at this point and will appreciate any suggestions, thank you so so much in advance
