Hello!
I was wondering if anybody had any hot chocolate recommendations near Gaylord palms to get either before or after Ice.
Thanks!
I’m out here for work and my GF is coming out for the holidays. I have Christmas Eve and day off. We plan on checking out Animal Kingdom Christmas Eve but we have no plans for Christmas Day. Magic kingdom is sold out. Any ideas?
Hey guys I apologize if this goes off topic on this sub but here I go… So I just graduated from a Mechanical Engineering degree, been looking for jobs everywhere in the world for the past year and am kindof lost on what my next step should be since I’m 29 and haven’t done as much other than working 2 jobs to pay for my career expenses. My sister lives here and offered me to stay at her place while studying a master’s degree at a local university and looking for a full/part-time job around. I am from Mexico and never lived in the States. Do you know if spending on a master’s degree would be worth it as a way to enhance or switch my current career path? Also, are there any jobs you know someone with little to no experience could get? (I only got 6 mo experience on hvac and 6 mo on remote automotive). I feel like I’m lost here and could use a little advice on people who’d been through something similar? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
0500, Starting at 528 about 25 cars pulled over changing tires. If you were out there this morning check your tires!
I've been to Park Ave CDs, which is absolutely wonderful and has some great gems. But after finding an absolute R&B and Soul haven in Atlanta, I'm determined to find something like that in Orlando.
Which ones of our record stores have sizable R&B and Soul collections?
My friends and I are considering splurging and going out to eat at a nicer restaurant on New Years Eve. Our budgets are roughly $100/person. We want good food and a fancy atmosphere. A plus if you think they have availability on NYE, but not a dealbreaker as we may end up scheduling for a different night.
Any and all suggestions welcome! We have meat eaters, vegetarians, and everything in between so looking for something that would have something for everyone (aka not Texas de Brazil haha).
Wawa at Pineloch and Orange today at 5:30. Headed inside to have some scary vagrant guy open the door for me, getting really close to me, leer at me, and accost me for money. I said no thanks and quickly moved inside. I am a single mom and need every dime I make. While I was inside, he keyed my car. There was a police car in the parking lot, so I flagged him down but he said the guy ran away. I will be filing a police report, and talked to the Wawa manager who said there was "Nothing they could do." I will be calling Wawa corporate about this in the morning. I feel like this location is getting so bad.
I work hard, and just saved up to buy a new car, and now it is scratched by a total asshole who felt entitled to my money. Fuck him. Both the police and the manager told me they know who he is and "he's a piece of shit." Hopefully, me getting that officer to chase him off saved others from the hassle and the damage to their cars.
I wish people would PLEASE stop giving these people anything and encouraging this behavior. They hang out there like seagulls who have been thrown a bag of chips. There are places they can go for charity, and support.
As a woman. it's scary to be approached by these people not knowing what they want or if they will hurt me or damage my property. I deserve to feel safe at a business. I don't deserve some rando piece of shit to key my car right before Christmas. Happy holidays.
They are cool as heck though…
Any suggestions for higher end furniture consignment? I'm looking to sell a bed and also some large art pieces.
Thank you
Requesting small business results only please….Locally owned women boutiques in the Orlando metro.
Looking for somewhere outdoors I can consistently go to that beats the treadmill.
Hello:) I'm wondering if someone can guide me in the right direction ...if you know of anyone or any business ?? I was looking for someone who can crochet a smaller doll for me that resembles (Sabrina Carpenter) ...my daughter is a huge fan.. I bought the pattern but I cannot crochet for the life of me... I'm trying to see if I can have this done by Christmas.. I know I'm late on this…
Most of the post here about laser tags were from years ago. I know Wonder Works, Launch, and Main Event have laser tag, which isn't too bad. Just wondering if there were any other places that were better.
I want to give my wife a spa day and I'm over my head here and not sure what I should be looking for.
I've heard the Ritz is a favorite because you can enjoy the other amenities it has to offer with any spa service... looking online that appears to be just the pool and gym, is that correct?
A spa service starts at around $200+ which is fine. But in my mind, having never been to a spa, I'm thinking the normal experience would be like a massage, facial. etc, whatever make a "spa day.' With the a la carte prices at Ritz it looks like that would easily be $1000 which seems excessive.
So I guess my question is two fold:
What would be a normal spa day experience look like at the Ritz, a favorite around here, ie. how many and what services?
And if it costs as much as I'm pricing out, what would be another more affordable option to get that complete spa day experience somewhere else? I imagine Orlando has great options outside of Ritz.
Also, I kind of wanted to buy two packages so she could go with a friend, because it seems like it would be a lonely experience being there for how ever many hours, but maybe this isn't the case?
I miss Mac and cheese night at ibar. Hubby and I are looking for any bars or clubs that play 90s-2000s classics. Whether hip hop, pop etc doesn’t matter !
Please use this thread to see what's happening in Orlando or our surrounding areas for the weekend.

I know this conversation has been going on for a while, but I wanted to see if there are any service industry workers from the Downtown area here. Are you concerned about the downward trend that has been going on for a while now? is there a way it can be fixed?
I keep noticing more and more bar/restaurants closing down, and I can’t seem to understand why the City is sorta pushing for these things to happen. I love this City, and want all of the neighborhoods to flourish, but it is honestly depressing going around downtown and it feeling like a ghost town.
Hello. I am new to the city and looking for some pickup soccer games. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I watch a lot of this guys videos, this ranking isn’t necessarily scientific, but it’s interesting how he compares US cities to european cities which don’t usually have massive interchanges in the downtown area.
For one infant, 5-6mo at start. Would be 4 days a week with variable hours with some early and late hours but no nights/weekends. Guarantee 40 hours. Day off varies. Actual shift would be known 3 months ahead. On/off days would be known 6-12 mo in advance
Is Universal more busy or less busy right after Christmas? Are the $400 per person fast passes really worth it?!
Looking for advice on repairing a broken iron shaft (7 iron). Would appreciate business names, costs, and turn around time in Orlando region.
I accidentally broke mine in the middle of the shaft, but hoping it’s fixable as it was a gift.
TIA!
Does anyone know the exact location of a “welcome to Orlando” sign or a large sign that says “Orlando” to take a picture in front of?
Does anyone have first hand experience with Aloma Elementary school? We're zoned for it and am having a hard time finding out information on the school. Their Facebook page seems inactive since around 2019. Would love any open feedback.
