That "boom" you heard was probably something headed to/from space, thunder, or fireworks from the theme parks. All 3 are completely normal in Central Florida.

For those unaware, Naperville is often memed and clowned for “claiming” Chicago despite being 30 miles away and wouldn’t dare actually stepping foot in the city.
Please recommend a good shoe repair near the Milk Dist / Mills 50. I'd like to repair a pair of men's shoes I've had for 25 years.
So I fell down a Youtube rabbit hole of a couple of people that build low cost bicycle trailers that a person could sleep in. I defiantly like to build things and am putting thought into building one of these after a local election cycle to get a bunch of free coroplast and then give it away to someone in need. My question is, would this be worth pursuing at all since the no camping law went into effect?
hi!
looking for recommendations for gun classes in orlando. would love to find a space that provides classes for POC/women.
Before I get the downvotes, I just read the steps on the Florida DMV site. I don’t want to be a pain in the ass to a potential buyer but it sounds like to protect myself, I should complete the sale with the buyer at the DMV. Does anyone here agree / disagree?
I have to keep my plate and the buyer can’t legally drive the vehicle without a plate so I’d want them to get their plate and for me to know that all paperwork is filed promptly so I’m not liable for anything that happens to the vehicle as soon as it’s out of my possession.
Is my thinking on track? Am I making it more complicated than it is?
I’d love to hear about anyone’s experience with Orlando Science East Campus? I’m looking at both elementary and middle. I don’t know much about the school except it’s rated as a top charter school. But I want to hear about families experiences. Thank you!
It found its way to someone’s balcony by the LakeHouse, here’s a picture.
I am looking for an audiologist that can take impressions of my ears, so that I can make custom fitted eartips for my earbuds.
I have Ambetter as my health insurance, though I am willing to also pay in full.
I am not buying any custom equipment from the audiologist, I just want to get the 3D model file of my ears taken.
The mods suck balls. You deleted my post about someone who has done great things for our community because it had a youtube video link. Yet you allow the same old bullshit get posted daily.
Plus the extreme influx of political posts. Mods are ruining this place.
Sharing for those interested.
Hello! Does anyone know of a company that specializes in natural landscaping? I mean that in the sense of not utilizing sod that needs endless amounts of fertilizer and other chemicals. I recently moved into a home with a huge front and back yard with sod but now lots of weeds are starting to intrude and I just don't feel comfortable keeping it up for the aforementioned reasons. All of the neighboring homes have beautifully landscaped lawns but I'd rather have natural cover for the bees and butterflies that is relatively low maintenance but still beautiful (so my neighbors don't complain lol) I don't live in an HOA.
I'm open to other ideas/suggestions.
thanks!
Making my way through the City Beautiful Culinary Experience, area by area. Let’s continue with East Orlando. I ask for two suggestions.
Great Food Overall. Feel free to suggest any great restaurants for this. Can be sit-down or to-go.
Great Value Eats. Places where bang for your Buck is a thing. I’m a busy guy and I like takeout so being able to support local while getting a great meal for an awesome price is something I love to.
Please be specific about which you are responding to. Can be anything and everything. I’m not picky in the slightest.
For context, I am a local but I am so local that I don’t know any of the cute new spots around. Does anyone have a recommendation for a cute lunch spot that I can work from that offers healthy (but not like salad only) food? I would prefer to stay around downtown, college park and winter park (not east side/UCF winter park -iykyk).
Edit: I only noted east WP because it’s deceiving far!
I used to be able to show up at 0530-0600 in the morning to a not so packed gym but now there's people with tripods to record themselves left and right and the benches are so packed people are using the squat racks to do bench. Is it because of New Year's resolutions? More attention for some reason? Do I switch gyms or do I wait for the crowd to thin out as the year goes on?
Hi All!
I would love for any recommendations for any orlando photographers for my grad pictures in July! I know I am looking a little early, but thats because I am located out in California so when I fly out, i just want to be sure everything is set up. Feel free to drop a comment of your instagram page or website so I can check out your past work! I would love to support fellow students as well!
Thanks all!
Hi! Looking for a nail salon while on vacation that TAP hybrid gel. Does anyone have recommendations?
I’m feeling nostalgic and I would like to dance.
Google just spits outdoor kitchen showrooms at you. Gentry's in winter park sadly closed. Do you all have any go-tos for BBQ supply stores that also stock food? Gentry's was an incredible one stop shop. Thanks!
Hello! My friend is non citizen looking to do road test, we live in Orange County. I see driving tests are booked through the 20th. Anyone know of any DMV locations that accept walk ins for driving tests?
Does anyone know is this closed or open. I thought they closed down but my friend said he was there yesterday. Maybe it opened as something else.
This is so random but hoping yall can help...
I'm from Georgia and LOVE Frontera's brown Tocayo salsa. Is there anywhere here that has similar salsa??? I haven't found anything even close in the three years Ive been here. I'm craving it so bad and they're only located in Georgia.
i’ve been wanting lychees so bad but i can’t find them anywhere, does anyone know where to find lychees and rambutans??
Looks like there was a protest.
Any recs for a good flat rate moving company? Last time I moved I got nickel and dimed to death by these hourly companies lol. Locations are within Orlando Metro area.
Thanks!
Anybody else having this problem? Is this happening because too many people are visiting at once?
