$30 for 8.5 oz each at Costco. Gel is a light hold and is moisturizing enough that a leave in isn’t necessary but could help if you want more definition.
Okay so I have a spot on the left side of my scalp next to the middle that grows shorter than the rest of my hair. It also is thinner to the touch and has a bunch of fairy/single strain knots. I’ve tried shaving my hair off and starting over countless times, but it seems to grow in the same way every time. What can I do? What might be the cause of this? I have 4b/4c hair.
I keep seeing these women whose hair falls out of their wrap the moment the tubi/scarf comes off, but mine stays pretty wrapped. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm always choosing between a fluffy finish with good movement, or a silky finish that hardly moves.
Maybe it's my hair type? I have type 4 hair with fine strands and low density. I've tried adding less and lighter product, but that only results in what looks like a really good blowout, not a press. In the past I've gotten it professionally pressed, but they actually achieved less movement than I manage to at home.
So, does anyone have any tips on how to get a silk press that flows? I'm considering straightening it without heat protectant to loosen my curl pattern, but I'm worried about breakage. I also not sure if that works.
my old hair care routine consisted of aunt jackie’s flaxseed gel, mielle’s rosemary & mint leave in, goddess strength leave in, and olive oil. since mielle has been having reports of hair loss, i stopped using it and switched to camille rose’s almond jai butter and the marshmallow curl. i don’t know what it is but it seems to make my hair tacky and weighed down for the first 2-3 days where as my old routine gave me soft and bouncier curls after my twist out. does anyone have a recommendation for a thicker leave in that is similar to the mielle?
When I’m lazy, I get my hair straightened. I don’t do it often, but my hair can take the heat. I was thinking of doing roller sets! For some reason it seems healthier and more beneficial to be under a good dryer rather than straightening it.
I just want some perspective on those it applies to. How do you maintain healthy hair in its stretched state? Retaining length? Etc
Natural waves only. Keep those grooming tools moving. #knowimtalmbout ?
All I'm saying is.... My hair was at its best when I was using Alberto V05 🤷🏽♀️ All the hair stylists me fun of me so I just started letting them use whatever they saw best. Without a consistent hair stylist though it seems I always need a trim, my hair is dry, and breaking. I have alot of hair and it's thick but won't grow pass my shoulder for nothing. Idk what to do.
Title.
My crown hair is shorter than the rest of the head’s hair . Is it normal?
Took forever to take out, need a trim bhad.
I've been trying to do more protective styles to take a break and lay off heat as I've damaged a lot of my hair with it. Now, I'm growing out a cut. I tried mini twists but they get very tangled and come loose. I switched to mini braids but I wanted to take my hair out weekly from them to wash and rebraid. Would that be too much manipulation?
Does anyone is aware of a natural nom toxic alternative to this product? I am located in the UK.
Thank you in advance!
I use Carol's Daughter, but I'd like to try something new. Which brands do you guys like for short natural 4c hair?

I’m thinking of trying out minoxidil for crown breakage, thin edges, and thin eyebrows. Anyone know anything as far as why I should or shouldn’t try it?
I’ve seen people rave about using Chebe powder in different forms for hair growth and I was interested in trying it, maybe in a leave in or some kind of treatment, anyone have any experience and/or results with chebe?
I tried the pre- loop braids on my hair and I still couldn't get it right. I don't know how to cornrows, but I know how to braid/plait my hair. I suck at parting. My issue was the crochet needle getting stuck in my natural hair and the loop wasn't big enough.
I have been religiously watching YouTube videos, but the ones who do use pre-looped hair are cornrowing their hair first. I have watched some videos where the ladies use a crochet cap (I think that's what it's called) and use crochet hair and make their own loops, which look easier, but they are using wavy hair and not braiding it.
Any advice?
What hair texture is this?
Hello, I want to attempt some twists soon and I bought the design essentials mousse off amazon for $10 because there was a sale, but I’m wondering if a twisting cream would be better. I’ve never used either before.
Also, if my hair is stretched prior, would the mousse revert my hair back to a shrunken state?
I want to do silk press my hair is 4c. What product do u use to get that silky feel?
I know a lot of budget brands have with sulfates, but I want to hear the one that people actually like and use! I have some build up I need to get rid of. I already have a clarifying shampoo
