Hi , I really want to find a good deep conditioner for my 4C hair .
But the confusion between a deep conditioner and a mask kills my head .
A deep conditioner could be use 1x a week while a hair Mask 1x two weeks appart if I understand .
After the shampo and then ?
Any advice is appreciated
Thanks
I have type 4 hair and the roots seem to be thinning for some reason. Idk if it’s because of a hormonal problem or something. Tbh I don’t know a lot about my hair because I used to get relaxers and recently went natural.
Sharing here too cause why not ! Even though I’m hella late and it’s basically time for my next wash day.
Hello, I was curious and wanted to have a discussion for how you guys decide what stylist works best for you, and what are some of your pet peeves that made you realize you needed a different stylist.
Mine has been whenever a stylist offers me a treatment to “loosen my curl pattern” or says things like, “this will make your hair so much more manageable.”
Yeah I'm a guy and my hair is very nappy I've tried hair detangler, shampoo and conditioner and are open to and suggestions. When I comb it it always returns to a super nappy.
The picture is me when I've combed it out and shampooed with conditioner and used a hair detangler after 10 minutes and it is already bunching up.
I started using 4C Only (not an affiliate) with argan/black castor oils last yr and my hair is soft and I can actually comb this thang lol 😆 also rice water. I folded the puffs over from straight out and rounded them, still working on finding styles but felt like Bubbles today 😌
I got my first silk press in years. I know that lil doesn’t hydrate hair but instead locks in moisture so you need to wet ur hair first then oil. But how do I hydrate and oil my scalp whilst my hair is straight without water so it doesn’t revert back.
My boyfriend is struggling to decide between starting twists/braids or getting some type of haircut. What do you guys think would suit him best? He said he doesn't like any braiding along his scalp cause it doesn't feel good lol
I made it in summer, but I am hesitating if I should keep this hairstyle. Any advice? If you have better suggestions about hairstyles perfectly match my face shape, please let me know!!
I usually get just 8, on Monday I went for a redo on my month old cornrows and asked my stylist for 12 cornrows because I was under the assumption that smaller= lasts longer.
But she ended up giving me 17 instead of 12 😭😭😭. They look good but they hurt and itch soooo bad I want to take them out.
I dont want to go back to her to redo my hair just so she doesn’t assume I didn’t like the look or something. Plus well, I’d have to pay again.
Asked my friend if she could do them for me, I knew she was going to say no so I told her it’ll only be 6 cornrows so it’s easier for her. She says she’ll do it but it won’t look nice because my hair isn’t long enough but what do you think ?
I don't have long hair persay (maybe short medium) but my hair is super thick and it would come in handy doing treatments. They are similar to these but they are plastic and disposable since these seem like you have to clean them.
Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew of a good alternative to the MeltDown gel? It’s literally the best gel I’ve ever used on my hair, it elongates my hair to where I never have to worry about shrinkage and there’s a way it melts to where I never experience flaking. It’s been sold out for a while and don’t know how long or if it will be restocked.
Can I use flaxseed gel for finger coils or chia seed gel. Should I brow my hair or do it after wash?
Yesterday I took advantage of Black Friday sales and bought the Camille Rose Black Castor Oil & Chebe Deep Conditioner. The instructions online say to “Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse with cool water.”
This is my first protein DC and I’m not sure whether to use heat or not like a moisturising DC.
