Hello, I am a student and I received a second hand pc from my brother.
MOBO: A320m CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X Quad-Core Processor GPU: GTX 1060 6GB RAM: 2x8GB 3200mb Disk: ADATASX8200PWP
I haven’t tried this PC out, my dad said that the MOBO’s audio is broken.
I am in a tight budget so i’m going upgrade it myself. I’m thinking of upgrading my CPU and MOBO.
I found a combo of A520m-a pro and R5 5500 which is USD$135, in which I am tempted to buy.
Or I should wait until I started working to get a new PC. I don’t think I would have time in the future to play games when i’m working so I don’t mind settling for a low-end rig. Only time I have is the first few years of uni.
Currently using Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for schoolwork. I play games like minecraft, risk of rain 2 and cs2 but I miss playing games without stutter and fps drop.
Also looking for something that let me play some AAA games on 1080p without stutter.
Any suggestions on an upgrade for any of the above are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I've been playing Crusader Kings III recently and enjoying it but it does not run well on my computer at all. Wanted to ask if there's any similar grand strategy/wargames out there, preferably in 2D/pixel art, or with incredibly potato graphics.
Hello, my aunt is currently taking care of her autistic grandson and he apparently has his heart set on getting a computer to play fortnite with his cousin from Florida, the one she was looking at just jumped up a hundred dollars in price and I was wondering what the absolute minimum I should be looking for
Hello, My son has a prebuilt HP Mo1-F0134 Intel i7 - 8700 8gb ddr4 sdram Psu is only 180w
From what I've read i can only upgrade the psu to a compatible 310w. Long story short it's only used for browsing and some occasional light gaming, roblox Minecraft, CupHead.. stuff like that, if anything looking to extend the life.
So 2 questions:
Can anyone recommend a gpu that I can pop in and even get minimal improvement/stability, i figured anything with dedicated graphics would beat out the Intel UHD 630. Looking for best value and not replacing the PSU
For ram I was going to upgrade, I would guess 16gb would be fine, and 32 might be a waste of money. Am I wrong assuming that if I were to find a better gpu??
Thanks all!!
Hi! im looking for a new device as i am a mobile player and am running out of storage. im looking for something that can run genshin at good quality and has a fair bit of space, i am looking for something on the cheaper side however but i am having a hard time for so i have looked at Steamdecks and other handelds and im just wondering if there worth it for what i want or if i should just invest in getting a pc or something

Looking to upgrade my son’s PC. The following is the machine he is running with the exception of we doubled the Ram listed, has an actual sound card and external HD for storage.
I was thinking something small like a gtx 3050 card to help play newer games but not sure if that would be best or even usable with other current parts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, just wondering a few things about building a PC. I usually play on console, I play games like Sims, BG3, dragon age veilguard, red dead. Don't play shooters or anything. Just wondering if a) it's really feasible to build a PC with zero prior knowledge and b) if there's a good starter build that would be fairly easy to figure out. I found this link from another thread I've been leaning towards. $500 would honestly be an ideal budget Edit: usa
I'm a broke high school student so my budget can only go for under $300 PCs. I found this build but should I save up $100 more to get a Ryzen 5 5600g but no GPU or just stick to this one for now. The games that I only play are Modded Skyrim, Modded Minecraft, and editing school projects.
I'm coming from an i3-5020U with no GPU so this looks like a massive upgrade for me.
My current set up is pentium g4400 with igpu 12gb ram and 768p monitor. Should I upgrade my CPU to i5 7500 or should I just add gt1030 to it? The game I was planning to play is zenless zone zero and rune factory series. 720p is fine I just need to have stable FPS.
Hey folks, planning to do some shopping on Black Friday. I’m looking at low end desktops under $700, probably pre-built. My 11 year old is really into the idea of using their Quest 3 with their as of yet unpurchased PC to play modded Skyrim VR. They’re hoping to get 60 fps at 1080p running VRIzk and HIGGS. Is this realistic? Any recommendations on a pre-built or minimum specs recommendations? Thanks
Want something that I can play Team Fortress 2 and the Quake and Doom games.
I can't build it I need to buy.
What's a good option for me? I'm overwhelmed with all the options out there and don't know if most are overkill for what I want to play.
Sorry if this is a dumb question Thanks.
I'd like to take advantage of black Friday deals. Thanks.
Edit: $700 or under if possible.
Hi!
For a little under a year I've been playing World of Warcraft on my HP All-in-One 24-df1xxx Desktop-- sadly since I'm not very knowledgeable about PCs and very new to gaming in general, I made the purchase not knowing it would struggle to run it. A lot of the content from the newer expansions is inaccessible to me because of the performance issues.
So, I'm considering upgrading so I can play properly with my friends. Would a Ryzen 5600G do well in that regard...? It's advertised as good for Esports, which gives me some optimism that it would perform well in raiding & PvP battlegrounds-- that's what I'm really looking for, something pre-built, but hopefully on a budget...? The current one I'm looking it is about £400-ish.
I suppose anything would do better than my current PC, but I do have a concern that what I'm tempted to buy won't handle the upcoming WoW expansions. I'm not too sure about the longevity?
Current PC - HP All-in-One 24-df1xxx Desktop
8.00 GB (7.66 GB usable)
11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1125G4 @ 2.00GHz 2.00GHz
Thank you for any help!
I don't play a ton of modern AAA games on my PC, but I'd like to--and I'm just now realizing that a lot of these titles say they require 16gb of RAM as a minimum. I'd love to play some current hot games (I especially have my eye on the Silent Hill 2 remake), but I'm not sure if 8gb is "good enough"/what performance issues I might run into. (For example, I wouldn't mind waiting for long loading times, turning graphics settings down, or restricting FPS, but I also don't want to get terrible lag/stutter, or, you know, melt my PC.) Basically: I haven't had a situation before where I'm pushing up against RAM requirements, and I'm not sure what to think/expect.
General PC specs:
Intel Core i5 @ 2.50GHz
8gb single-channel DDR4 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
Hopefully I’m in the right subreddit, several others make more sense to me than this one but subreddits have more laws than a sovereign country at this point.
I'm brand new to even the idea of building a PC for gaming. Like newer than noob new. I've been getting more and more into gaming lately as l've recently started to reconnect to my inner child. I don't want a console since I know I can build a budget PC for around the same price and get so much more out of it. Right now I mainly just play Minecraft and Rocket League, but I plan to get more into FPS games soon also.
I'm really just looking for a place to start to learn about components and all the long numbers and codes that describe different things. Also, hoping there's like "starter packs" or something where I can purchase and learn as I build. The Victus 15L keeps coming up when I do research, but l've heard it comes prebuilt and I feel like half the fun is the build itself. I'd really like to build my own, even if all parts are prescribed. Maybe it's the chef in me, but something like following a recipe would be a great start if that's even possible. My budget is ideally no more than $650 (I know that's low but literally all I need is something basic for the games mentioned above).
All advice is appreciated!!
Hello again r/lowendgaming!
I'm back again. Under different circumstances this time.
So, my brother recently upgraded his PC, I now have his parts as I discussed interest in a Steam Machine.
So what do we have?
- i7-8700K
- 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 (4 Sticks)
- Gigabyte Z370 HD3
My plan was to turn this into a SFF Steam Machine that I could just easily pickup and move around the house, or keep in a room loaded with games for a TV. As well, I wanted to implement mass storage into it as I don't like installing/uninstalling all of the time.
The purpose of it would simply be to serve as a PC for television use and kick back, over a console.
That said, while I have wanted to do this. I've sat and thought about it a lot, and while the idea still interests me, I'm still in the midst of trying to get a 1440p GPU for my current system.
Where can I go with this whole debacle?
Would this run games like cyberpunk and Elden ring. CyberPowerPC - Gamer Master Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 5500
6500 XT 4GB - 1TB SSD - Black) Best Buy has it on Black Friday sale for 599 plus tax
Would this be good for modded minecraft? I do like how it has plenty of RAM but I don't know about that fact it's DDR3 at 1333mhz. Is this good for $110?
Hi, i have a question about upgrading my PC.
My specs are:
B450 AORUS elite board
Radeon rx 570 4gb
Ryzen 3 2200G
24 GB ram
------------
The time came that my pc stopped being friends with new releasing AAA titles. So the question is, if i should upgrade my graphics ( was thinking about radeon rx 6600 as it seems to be a better price/performance ratio than it's Nvidia counterparts) or CPU ( i was checking out ryzen 5 5600x). I wouldn't want to go above 200 usd per component.
thanks for your answers
Walmart had some laptops and a desktop on clearance for $250. I ended up with a hp pavilion tp01-3003w.
I’m not a computer whiz at all and just assumed it would run Minecraft and some other games well enough for our kids to tool around on without breaking the bank.
Come to find out it has a hard time just running video streaming.
I saw a video on YouTube of someone installing a gtx 1650 into it but I’m wondering if there’s something newer or better than won’t be overkill for the 310w psu. I plan on upgrading the ram also.
Item Number 276658963673 Hard Drive Capacity 12 GB UPC 0196548734238 Processor Intel Core i5 12th Gen. Is it worth upgrading this pc to keep under $500 or should I just find something else?
So i don't have a gpu and i only have 5600g w 16gb of ram. I wanna record my gameplay and the game isn't that demanding. Which is Stardew Valley. I'm just wondering if someone has a "good" setting for potato pc? I don't also know how to set up obs so

I'm at my grandparents' house for thanksgiving break, and i wanted to play Fortnite on this absolute DINOSAUR of a computer i have, lol!
trying to run Nvidia profile inspector in order to progress with this "potato graphics" mod i found online has failed, because it'd throw an error at me and older versions wouldn't start up. maybe it's just because i don't have an Nvidia graphics card. it's an intel.
are there any other alternatives to get to this goal I'm trying to achieve? for reference, the video I'm using is requiring this program:

My son wants to play Steam VR and is asking for a GPU for Christmas. Unfortunately his old desktop won't support the GPU he needs. So I want to get him a *new* old desktop. The Steam VR recommended specs are:
Computer Processor: Intel Core i5-4590/AMD FX 8350 equivalent or better
We already have an Oculus 2 but he insists things like Gorilla Tag will be better if he has Steam VR. I absolutely and not spending 2k on a PC so he can play Gorilla Tag.
But his current desktop is getting pretty clunky. Any suggestions on what kind of used or refurb desktop I could get that could support that graphics card?
Hey guys, I have the opportunity to get Dell Precision T3600 or 3610 workstations, used, between 50 and 60 usd. They have e5 1620 v2 cpu paired with quadro k4000 (one of them has k4000 what I've seen on pictures).
I'm interested only in playing cs2, would this be doable when paired with rx580 8gb / gtx 1070 8gb and 32 gigs of RAM?
Never had one of xeons and I'm tempted to get it. From what I've seen 8c/16t cpus can be found on Ali if decide to upgrade this badboy in near future.
Sugggestions / thoughts welcome.
So I quit League earlier this year when they made their Vanguard anti-cheat software mandatory. Now that I'm looking to use a laptop as an entertainment/media streaming hub for my living room TV I thought I could kill 2 birds with one stone and play League once in a while. I've built desktops but don't know jack shit about laptops
I was looking at the Lenovo 1i which is on sale this week which seems to fit the bill, and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this brand and model or had other suggestions
