Welcome to the official subreddit for the community of the LowSpecGamer!
- Rule #1 Keep in mind that posts asking "What can I run?" or "Can I run _?" will be deleted. Check out this post and the current "What can I run?" thread before posting as well.
- Rule #2 If you ask for help, you must include your computer's specs. If you're asking about a game, also include your current performance and what tweaks you've applied (if any). In addition to this, please check Alex’s channel first to make sure he hasn’t made a video on the game or piece of hardware you’re requesting help for in order to minimize clutter.
- Rule #3 Duplicate posts with previously answered questions will be deleted, and a link to the previously answered post will be sent to the user.
- Rule #4 Please contact the mods for approval before creating a post for self-promotion of your website/channel/etc. or any other services. This includes posting articles or videos and commenting links from your own website/channel/etc. as they will be removed otherwise. Please also check with mods before posting other people's videos.
- Rule #5 Requesting or sharing any personal information regarding anyone involved with the channel that has not been publicly shared before is against the rules.
- Rule #6 No piracy. This includes links, torrents, advocation, and any other method of distributing pirated software or games. Comments or posts breaking this rule will be removed.
- Rule #7 Remain civil and remember that this subreddit is here to help people. Everyone is welcome to post their own opinions.
- Rule #8 If you are going to post a question that is not related to the channel, please try to make it relevant to low end computers or game tweaking. /r/techsupport is better for more general questions relating to computer issues. Create a new post if you have a high priority issue that may affect the whole community; for example, a tweak that can cause a game ban.
If you break a rule once, you'll be given a warning unless the rules above state otherwise. Twice is is a temp-ban, though you can appeal, and three times is a perma-ban. Read the rules!

Hey I'm trying to get Warframe to run on my old HP laptop, I remember it working quite well about two years ago. This question I have is not about my specs necessarily, but a weird stuttering issue I have
The game runs perfectly smooth, I've got all settings all the way down, windowed it, made it smaller and all, but one issue persist regardless of how many frames I'm getting. Whenever I do a new action that I assume the game has to load, it starts chugging hard. Though sometimes it does it for no reason. I really just want to know if there's a quick fix for it, if it's hard drive related and if I can do anything. If this is not enough, I can send specs also. Thanks!
Configs are: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 PSU: LITEON 210W
RAM: 16GB DDR4
SSD: SanDisk 250 GB
So obviously I would love to add an actual GPU but it needs to be compact and I would add SSD. My goal is for it to run R6 pretty okey, LOL and some older campagne games.
SSD upgrade isint crutial and I can't change PSU sadly so I need a GPU that will run on 210W (mybe 1650 or 3050 8GB would work but 3050 is a 250 where Im from)
So my question is what GPU do you recomand?
BTW my budget is about 150 euros.
Have an i5-2320, GTX550Ti, and 8gb RAM. It boots up very quick but I just get audio with a black screen and the white circle in the middle. Am I right in assuming it's my CPU? I've seen other people run Phasmophobia with the GTX550Ti and 8gb RAM
i am trying to play sonic generations on a potato pc (Intel Pentium N6000 with integrated GPU and 8GB RAM and I installed these mods to make the game run better but i just made all the stages pitch black so is there a way to fix it while keeping all the mods?
(these are all my mods and setting if there are any incompatibilities)
Hi so I've always wondered which one is the real temp of my cpu?1-4 is the cores? And the 5th one is what?Which one is the real temp I should be wary about? Thanks in advance
Need low power @ a minimum of 8gb . Anything new, used, or off brand that is good? Low cost please. Thanks guys
I found somebody selling a motherboard Asrock N68-VS3 UCC without ram and cpu for 10$, beeing from a decadent third world country i cant let me expend to much money on a better buil, so can it be build a decent pc whit that motherboard? and just seeking to play dark souls 3 and do college work.
Note: sorry for any grammatical error, english isn't my first language.
How to decrypt the localcfg file of Castle LOS? I can't find any solution. Tyia
hi have graphic card nvidia geforce mx110 intel core i3 7020u
I'm only getting 30-40 fps in Valorant.
My PC specs:
CPU : Ryzen 5 3500U (2.1 GHz)
Video Memory : Integrated Radeon Vega 8 (1 GB VRam)
RAM : 8 GB (7 GB Usable)
Is there any way you know of to get this game run?
I tried
https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkTide/comments/z7pn2j/how_i_ran_darktide_on_a_5_year_old_laptop/
with no luck.
Obviously, I know this is ridiculous, but if there is a way....
So I’m building a new pc but it’ll take a few months.
I wanted to play some things on my laptop while I wait it out Specs :
Intel core i5 8265-U (1,6 GHz / 8CPUs) Kingston ssd 480gb 8 gb ram NVIDIA GEFORCE MX110
I tried playing World of Warcraft and League of Legends but the computer freezes for 3-4 seconds ocassionally. Sometimes a lot, sometimes none at all.
Can I fix this or is the computer just shit? Or are these games too much for it?
I am planning to build a PC with a tight budget (around $530) using the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 and a Kingston 250GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Here's a list of compatible parts that I am planning to use:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 2. Motherboard: MSI B550M Pro-VDH WiFi Or ASRock B550M Pro4 for a similar price and features. 3. RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200MHz 16GB is the sweet spot for modern gaming and multitasking. 4. Storage: Kingston NV1 250GB PCIe 4.0 SSD 5. GPU (Graphics Card): AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 6. Power Supply: Corsair CV550 80+ Bronze 550W 7. Case: Tecware Nexus M ATX Case 8. Optional (if budget allows) an Extra Storage: If I can stretch the budget slightly, I also consider adding a 1TB HDD.
Usual activity is work related and casual gamer (steam games like cs2, dota, valorant, nba2k)
Is this ok?
Hi, I need some help with a project I’m working on, which is based on an HP ProDesk 400 G1 SFF office PC that I plan to use with my 4K TV in the living room. I’ll primarily be using it to watch 4K content and play less demanding games in 4K, like Hollow Knight, Hades, and similar titles. The issue lies with the GPU, as I need a low-profile graphics card, and there aren’t many options available, especially here in Chile. The best choice seems to be the MSI RTX 3050 LP with 6 GB, but I’m unsure if that’s overkill or if a GTX 1650 LP with 4 GB would be enough. Additionally, I have doubts about the PCI Express 2.0 slot. I’m not sure if the 3050 LP will be bottlenecked by the PCIe 2.0, aside from any bottleneck caused by the CPU, which is an i7-4790
would put flair in but I'm just in new to using eBay. it seems like some big mishmash whatever they have in bulk and I sort of love it. think i will try one of Lenovo towers to commit surgery on. too long, basically are these just really janky ways of moving surplus, or some sort of schrme to sell possibly faulty stuff?
I'm sorry if this post isn't adequate for this sub. I'm new here but I believe it doesn't violate any rules.
I'm planning on getting a productivity/ casual gaming setup now that I have finally got some disposable income. I grew up doing custom builds with my dad and even took a basic hardware course in school back in the day, so I'm fairly confident that using the resources available today I could put together a custom build.
Problem is that I have been out of the game for a long time, using a laptop as my daily driver, so I'm out of touch with the current reality. What would be the best bang for buck option in 2024? Buying something pre-built? Custom building (by sheer coincidence, I already have a decent ATX case that I found by the side of the road the other day)? Or buying a used rig?
As far as I can tell, it seems like buying something newer but lower spec (i3 instead of i7) would be actually better, so buying a second hand rig might not be the best option. Is that true?
By the way, my total budget would ideally be under 600 including monitor, so I'm looking at something fairly low spec.
I am planning to upgrade my unit slowly, here are my specs: i have an intel core i5-2400s cpu @2.50GHz x4 with amd/ATI turks pro radeon HD 6570/7570/8550/r5 230.
I am just a casual gamer. Usually playing cs2, dota, and nba. Which one should I buy?
NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti AMD RX 560 NVIDIA GTX 1650
Do these cards won't cause bottleneck?
I picked up a Dell Vostro 3268 with an i3-7100 on Ebay for £30 not too long ago to use as a temporary Minecraft server host. I upgraded it with 16GB of RAM (the RAM in there was faulty unfortunately) and it ran a modern server incredibly well.
Now that I no longer need it for this purpose, I want to turn it into a mini emulation / light gaming 'console' for the TV in my bedroom. I've been looking into GPUs, and since this is a SFF PC case with limited power draw (180w) my options are very restricted.
Anyone know what a reasonably priced good low profile GPU would be for this build? I just want something that's able to handle 1080p emulation up to the PS2/GC era, I know this CPU is more than capable of doing it but I'm torn on what GPU to get because of power restrictions.
Thanks!
Been playing and really enjoying MK1 on my laptop, however, especially as the game has gotten more demanding, the more noticable lag gets while playing.
My laptop specs are below, and my laptop is pretty old (She's pushin 8 years at this point)
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GT62VR-6RE-Dominator-Pro/Specification
I've tried my best to get it running better, which is mostly just letting shaders cache completely, and letting the game run it's own benchmark and auto-settings based off that.
Anyone else playing this game on a dinosaur? I'm really trying my best, but even on the lowest quality settings, she'll still stutter hard at certine points depending on characters/stages
For reference, I have an MX450 GDRR5 laptop graphics card, I overclocked it, but I think even without it, you can play a lot of Bandai Namco games at stable 30fps at medium. Perhaps high settings when overclocked.
The following Bandai Namco games I've run on a 2gb Vram Graphics card:
I've played:
Haven't played, but it should run:
Keep in mind that my MX450 is overclocked. Some games will run on Medium or Low settings when not OC, but they'll run.
Edit: The resolution is at 1080p.
Just tried Visions of Mana for the heck of it, and surprisingly, I could run the game at stable 30fps on low settings. If you are into JRPGs, this game is worth considering.
For reference, I am using an MX450 laptop graphics card overclocked.
My laptop specs Intel core i5 11th gen 1135G7 MX350 8GB of Ram, Laptop Name Vivobook 14. Thanks in advance! Because some of my games are lagging even in Low resolution and low graphics.
Games Like: Mad Max, Watch dogs 1-2, Days Gone, Ac 3 remastered.
Just as a proof I've played it before, cuz I'm paranoid
I've played Doom Eternal the moment I've set up this PC, but it suddenly doesnt work anymore?
I try to get into the game, just the main screen is enough to black screen and close itself, and in other cases I almost get into a level AND THEN the game black screens and closes...
Ive had my laptop for like a few years now, too broke to get a new one it runs fine but its pretty much broken on battery and it used to run games like roblox pretty well but not anymore (4 gb ram and runs on intel celeron) is there any ways to make it less laggy and smoother with gaming performances?
These are the specs of my laptop
I3 1115G4
Intel UHD Graphics
12GB 3200mhz
So the issue is that Halo 4 from TMCC doesn't work on my Laptop but every Halo game works perfectly fine as soon as I open the campaign it immediately crashes I tried playing the game on the lowest settings and the lowest resolution but it still doesn't work Also I have tried these steps:
Updating Windows
Updating the Driver
Running Compatibility mode
Reinstalled the Game
Verify Game Files
Updating C++ and DirectX
While running the game Closed every Background Process through Task Manager
Also, it's not a heating issue as I have tried while my Laptop was in an AC room without any utilization before
Edit: I forgot to mention the Error message
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 200]
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost (Error:0x887A0006 -'HUNG')
im on a (my opinion) low spec laptop which has 8gb ram single channel at 1600mhz, i5-1335u and a intel iris xe g7 80eus. any tweaks
(and if u know any pls remind me of any tweaking utility like exm free tweakers)
I saw that another post say that the GTX 1650 was the best but that post was also from 2 years ago and just want to make sure there isn't something better now days.
these are the specs of my laptop
Intel I3 1115G4
Intel UHD Graphics
12GB 3200mhz
Windows 11 Home
Just got Sekiro and I am getting loading times of up to 10-15mins on average on my SSD I have all of my games on my HDD including RDR 2 and GTA V both load within 2 minutes while this game is on my SDD and it still takes too much time also I have 576GB free out of 1TB SSD also tried putting my game on the HDD but still game takes this much time btw after the game loads it works fine like 40-50FPS on Low-Medium
Edit: I have tried basic Troubleshooting steps like updating Drivers, C++, DirectX, Windows, using safe mode, compatibility settings
I don't have too much knowledge on pc settings or much about pc in general. I have amd ryzen 3 3100 4-core processor and gt 1030, don't know if there is any other information needed but anything helps thanks everyone! :) Oh I also am trying to live stream on twitch so everytime I try to stream and play it's a very horrible experience lol I end up switching to my ps5 and stream through that but I really want to stream on pc since it's an overall better experience for viewers in my opinion.
