Welcome to the official subreddit for the community of the LowSpecGamer!
- Rule #1 Keep in mind that posts asking "What can I run?" or "Can I run _?" will be deleted. Check out this post and the current "What can I run?" thread before posting as well.
- Rule #2 If you ask for help, you must include your computer's specs. If you're asking about a game, also include your current performance and what tweaks you've applied (if any). In addition to this, please check Alex’s channel first to make sure he hasn’t made a video on the game or piece of hardware you’re requesting help for in order to minimize clutter.
- Rule #3 Duplicate posts with previously answered questions will be deleted, and a link to the previously answered post will be sent to the user.
- Rule #4 Please contact the mods for approval before creating a post for self-promotion of your website/channel/etc. or any other services. This includes posting articles or videos and commenting links from your own website/channel/etc. as they will be removed otherwise. Please also check with mods before posting other people's videos.
- Rule #5 Requesting or sharing any personal information regarding anyone involved with the channel that has not been publicly shared before is against the rules.
- Rule #6 No piracy. This includes links, torrents, advocation, and any other method of distributing pirated software or games. Comments or posts breaking this rule will be removed.
- Rule #7 Remain civil and remember that this subreddit is here to help people. Everyone is welcome to post their own opinions.
- Rule #8 If you are going to post a question that is not related to the channel, please try to make it relevant to low end computers or game tweaking. /r/techsupport is better for more general questions relating to computer issues. Create a new post if you have a high priority issue that may affect the whole community; for example, a tweak that can cause a game ban.
If you break a rule once, you'll be given a warning unless the rules above state otherwise. Twice is is a temp-ban, though you can appeal, and three times is a perma-ban. Read the rules!

PLS HELP
Looking for something that will help me in my college work, work projects, and small scale gaming. I’d like to use it as a monitor for my xbox if possible.

Hi, I have a laptop PC with an i3 1005g1, 24gb ram ddr4 2666mhz, and integrated graphics with 12gb of vram subtracted from the normal ram. I tried GTA V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption II lags a lot but holds up, GTA V in the initial heist the moments it holds up are fine with like 1280x720 resolution and other settings to play well and I get around 60 fps, but it gets 70% and more of cpu and 15% of gpu, with applications in the background when the cpu reaches 100% GTA V crashes, do you have any advice to avoid all that cpu consumption just from gta ? (Do you also have any tips for Red Dead Redemption II?) I also have a PC with a gt 730 2gb, 20gb of RAM 1333mhz, and an i5 2400, but some games are better than others, should I play GTA and Red dead redemption II on that?
Thank you all
My machine was a budget refurb and has only 320w psu. In the manual online it says I can fit a gpu under 120w and it would be fine. Yet when I check out cards with, say, 115w it always says recommended 500w psu. Do I really need a 500w psu to run a 115w nvidia card? And does it make a difference how many ssd/hard drives I have attached taking power also?
Hi, im in search for a Gaming os, which uses low resources and that can help the system in general to perform better
My specs right now:
CPU: Intel i5 4210U
RAM: 4gb DDR3 (but today im probably going to buy two 8gb banks so that it will perform better)
GPU: AMD R5 M230
Storage: 512 GB HDD (that i want to upgrade to an SSD, with the same memory too)
Current OS: Windows 11
I was minding to upgrade to Atlas OS but i’ve heard that it’s not safe at all or maybe Revi OS but im pretty unsure about those. Maybe you can tell me for personal experience
I'm playing BO6 at 720p, FSR3 with 45fps frame limit and it is so awesome! I can't believe I'm playing it so easily, it looks a little bad but for MP it is so good! Also zombies works flawlessly. V-sync fucks it all up, so don't use it.
There ain't no tweak, but I didn't know which flair to use.
Hi, I have an Intel i3-7100, Nvidia GTX 1050, 16GB RAM, and Lenovo 36C5 (motherboard)
I’m getting around 50 fps on Fortnite and I want to improve that. Any suggestions? Should I get a new CPU or GPU? Or get a gaming screen at 120-170 hz?
Open to any suggestions, Thank you
My father in law has an almost 10 year old PC. Specs in the images
He would like to play Ryse: Son of Rome
The pci port is 2.0 express but I understand that you can connect also 3.0 but im afraid of the bottleneck effect.
What would you recommend? Maybe rx570? gtx 1050? gtx 1650ti?
Thank you!
Im currently away for work and play Quasimorph on my laptop, are there any good turn based low spec games i could check out?
Looting, customization/visible appearance change, leveling, randomness are some things i like
I also like xcom like games or wartales, rimworld, project zomboid
Hey I'm trying to get Warframe to run on my old HP laptop, I remember it working quite well about two years ago. This question I have is not about my specs necessarily, but a weird stuttering issue I have
The game runs perfectly smooth, I've got all settings all the way down, windowed it, made it smaller and all, but one issue persist regardless of how many frames I'm getting. Whenever I do a new action that I assume the game has to load, it starts chugging hard. Though sometimes it does it for no reason. I really just want to know if there's a quick fix for it, if it's hard drive related and if I can do anything. If this is not enough, I can send specs also. Thanks!
Configs are: CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 PSU: LITEON 210W
RAM: 16GB DDR4
SSD: SanDisk 250 GB
So obviously I would love to add an actual GPU but it needs to be compact and I would add SSD. My goal is for it to run R6 pretty okey, LOL and some older campagne games.
SSD upgrade isint crutial and I can't change PSU sadly so I need a GPU that will run on 210W (mybe 1650 or 3050 8GB would work but 3050 is a 250 where Im from)
So my question is what GPU do you recomand?
BTW my budget is about 150 euros.
Have an i5-2320, GTX550Ti, and 8gb RAM. It boots up very quick but I just get audio with a black screen and the white circle in the middle. Am I right in assuming it's my CPU? I've seen other people run Phasmophobia with the GTX550Ti and 8gb RAM
i am trying to play sonic generations on a potato pc (Intel Pentium N6000 with integrated GPU and 8GB RAM and I installed these mods to make the game run better but i just made all the stages pitch black so is there a way to fix it while keeping all the mods?
(these are all my mods and setting if there are any incompatibilities)
Hi so I've always wondered which one is the real temp of my cpu?1-4 is the cores? And the 5th one is what?Which one is the real temp I should be wary about? Thanks in advance
Need low power @ a minimum of 8gb . Anything new, used, or off brand that is good? Low cost please. Thanks guys
I found somebody selling a motherboard Asrock N68-VS3 UCC without ram and cpu for 10$, beeing from a decadent third world country i cant let me expend to much money on a better buil, so can it be build a decent pc whit that motherboard? and just seeking to play dark souls 3 and do college work.

hi have graphic card nvidia geforce mx110 intel core i3 7020u
I'm only getting 30-40 fps in Valorant.
My PC specs:
CPU : Ryzen 5 3500U (2.1 GHz)
Video Memory : Integrated Radeon Vega 8 (1 GB VRam)
RAM : 8 GB (7 GB Usable)
Is there any way you know of to get this game run?
I tried
https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkTide/comments/z7pn2j/how_i_ran_darktide_on_a_5_year_old_laptop/
with no luck.
Obviously, I know this is ridiculous, but if there is a way....
So I’m building a new pc but it’ll take a few months.
I wanted to play some things on my laptop while I wait it out Specs :
Intel core i5 8265-U (1,6 GHz / 8CPUs) Kingston ssd 480gb 8 gb ram NVIDIA GEFORCE MX110
I tried playing World of Warcraft and League of Legends but the computer freezes for 3-4 seconds ocassionally. Sometimes a lot, sometimes none at all.
Can I fix this or is the computer just shit? Or are these games too much for it?
I am planning to build a PC with a tight budget (around $530) using the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 and a Kingston 250GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Here's a list of compatible parts that I am planning to use:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 2. Motherboard: MSI B550M Pro-VDH WiFi Or ASRock B550M Pro4 for a similar price and features. 3. RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200MHz 16GB is the sweet spot for modern gaming and multitasking. 4. Storage: Kingston NV1 250GB PCIe 4.0 SSD 5. GPU (Graphics Card): AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 6. Power Supply: Corsair CV550 80+ Bronze 550W 7. Case: Tecware Nexus M ATX Case 8. Optional (if budget allows) an Extra Storage: If I can stretch the budget slightly, I also consider adding a 1TB HDD.
Usual activity is work related and casual gamer (steam games like cs2, dota, valorant, nba2k)
Is this ok?
